I also don't get how paying for an indie game defeats the purpose, but anyway

This game is awesome and goddamn frustrating. I've been waiting forever for it to come out on Steam since I don't have an x360, and then I was busy all week and started playing it Friday. Holy shit, it's awesome, but so frustrating. Anyone who's ever had an interest in playing tough platformers and persevering through them (I wanna be the Guy, the original Meat Boy, Unfair Platformer, whatever) should absolutely get this game.

Though I guess unlike IWBTG and Unfair Platformer, the difficulty isn't cheap random hidden traps, but just very nerve-racking and reflex oriented traps and shizmoes and whatelse.

I'm in love with this game ok :O

I beat this with my friend last night after renting it (took maybe 5 hours top)

It's really, really good and really, really fucked up and the psychology side is very well done

but it's really as far from being similiar to other Silent Hill games as it can be, though I'm not entirely sure if this is good or bad

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy this though because of how terribly short it is, even though you can replay it a few times and get various different interesting things, or just outright change the outcome of some parts (psychology..)

I have Blazblue and I like it, although I prefer playing Continuum Shift on PC (the arcade has been emulated perfectly, granted you have a capable pc)

I also have tekken 6 but its been so long since I played it I practically forgot everything with my dudes so no tekken for me

its a retroey sonic game
the 3d graphics are decent
its not a full blown game

the downs

-being episodic is dumb
-the 3d graphics are also strange at times
i mean did you see the trailer that shows comparisons? you start with the old sonic sprites from back then and then it changes to needlemouse's 3d sonic and it has the fucking slowest running animation out of all of the sonics shown; it partly destroys the feeling of speed attributed to sonic running

why the hell is it like this?

i cant find any other downs other than the  fact it most likely wont beat old sonics but it might still be enjoyable (granted they keep it retroey enough) in the same way megaman 9 was

but seriously the way this game looks turns me off so much



also i agree about the kid thing

one time on tv i saw this american Heidi movie (i think heidi is originally a japanese story) but it's just about this girl from the mountains and all and like, it's a classic kid animation movie and it reminded me so much about stuff i saw when i was a wee kid
tbh it was a really charming animation movie and all i thought when i saw it was "even if i have kids in 20 years from now they will see this"

you don't call it GZ Final Doom or GZ Doom 2 btw


it's GZDoom, which is opengl ZDoom, which is a sourceport for Doom-engine games

but yeah versions since like 2006/2007 have had crouch, and it has always had jump/mouselook

GZDoom has true mouselook though, due to the fact it runs on opengl and not doom's software renderer (zdoom mouselook stretches)

only "recent" (ie: 1999 and later) source ports allow mouselook/jump and more recent ones (2006 and later) allow crouch


no version of doom had mouselook/jump/crouch ever
