Do you have a program name? I'd be interested in seeing that.

Unfortunately I don't, I wanted to keep a copy myself. But damn it was cool.

/offtopic
They were looking for another planet suitable for humans to live in, and basically, traveling at the speed of light across the universe stopping at all interesting looking planets along the way. (as in zoom in on the planet surface, look around FPS style). They found one which pretty much looked like a CLONE of Earth, but unfortunately, it's 40 something light years away :\

You guys should watch the Nat Geo channel more. There was this awesome 2 hour program and one of the contents was showing how Earth and the Moon used to be constantly bombarded with meteors and comets, (which is why there's craters on the moon) and it also showed that water on earth came via these comets and meteors. There were "carriers" of sorts.

Yes, the combat system does comprise the game  ^_^ I'm not hiring anyone to work on my game, mainly because it's my game, I want to do it myself, thats what it's all about. Although I do get help from friends, of which there's Nessiah and Ocean's Dream. And Also, there are no MIDI's, its mp3, and the battle theme is from Star Ocean 2 and happens to be my most favorite theme of all time. (But the full game will have totally original music anyway, so thats a moot point).

Anyway, I don't want to hire anyone, but if someone wants to offer to help, I'm always willing to accept

FINALLY! I got the time to make a vid of the latest version of my Vanadia Project.

Lemme c&p what i posted on youtube...

Quote
This is what the very latest version of the game's battle system looks like. (as of 14/11/09) There is now, due to popular request, Scrolling! And 3 layer scrolling at that! I'd think that I have emulated Tales of Eternia's system pretty great so far :D

PS: The horrible lag is due to fraps, the game itself is very smooth.

It couldn't be all that different from KillZone 1 could it? KZ1 had perfect controls :\ At least imo.

Great! I usually just take my ram to the store and ask if they have the exact same one, just to be safe.

Thanks guys.

Suddenly seeing that post like that, it was a mix of feelings, of surprise, fear, relief all in one. Someone get to the bottom of this because it is seriously a very tasteless joke :(

So my PC has a 1GB DDR2 RAM installed, I want to buy another 2GB but, thing is, can you mix numbers like that? IE, can you have 3GB RAM or does it need to be 1GB or 2 or 4 like that? I'm asking because a friend told me it either needs to be two 1GB RAMS or one 2GB one.

ASUS P5KPL-AM/PS motherboard btw.

tl;dr there's no reason good games can't be submitted to the mainsite but gw isn't going to let everyone start uploading their games because most of them aren't worth it

This is good enough for me. As long as I know I can submit my game to gw and have a non-biased review of it, despite the maker, and that theres a chance it will get to the main page, I'm satisfied. So wheres the problem then? It's not like gw is "no rm allowed gtfo" about it  :fogetshrug:

You shouldn't be comparing your game to a console game because console games allow you to skip/scroll text faster by pressing a button so slow text is justified in console games.

As for this game, just hold shift :D Whenever a game has auto closing text boxes, I just hold shift and skip it all. I hate boring/long intros and I just want to start playing something within 5 minutes of pressing "new game".

Who is dumb enough to use actual HEROES though? No one in their right mind rips and uses heroes unless it's a fan game. People just rip places, buildings, grass etc.

esr patching is for ps2 games, ps1 needs a chip to work. Mine is a fake messiah chip so it doesn't run ps1 games, but my friends matrix infinity chip plays ps1 games just fine.

Nope. Well, at least it doesn't work on mine. Maybe those who have the genuine Matrix Infinity chip may get it to work.

Yeah, it may be expensive and/or awful, but it works just perfectly. I can even run NDS emulators now and I can watch stuff on my tv, which is why I got it anyway, so I'm happy with it. Live in Fiji btw.
