Still say you need another planet, but feel free to ignore this (you'll probably have more in the "finished" skirmish mode right?)

When I select a carrier and build a wave, it deselects the carrier (its annoying the hell outta me to the point where I only build carriers once in a blue moon...)
When you have 2 commercial buildings, you can research the speed to .33 and gain basically unlimited income (I tried researching to 0, and it actually slows it down... figured it'd stop working or something. I suggest making the upgrade only avaliabe to the speed of 3, so you don't get people exploiting this)
I might suggest adding some defensive weapons on the starports, so they're not completely screwed if all your units die (also adds a bit of realism to the game, starports, even civilian ones, would need something to destroy, deflect, or drag in space debris, comets, etc... or the station could be easily torn to shreads... just a suggestion)
But all and all, still an enjoyable (and time consuming...) game, I like the list system you added in, but there is one small problem with it... While playing as humans (I haven't tested the other two races since the new version), when I built a cargo ship, the list would say "you have build a (last created unit)" So, if I build a destroyer before, it'd say I build another destroyer when my cargo ship finished (this goes for both the small and the large ship)

So far its been a good game... I only have a few issues...
There's no Tut yet right? The reason I'm bringing this up is when I click on the human tutorial (I haven't tried the others) its just the menu background...
And I think fighters are a little hard to hit... I spent plenty of time (and resources) trying to kill a group of human resources, when I build my own group of fighters and anti fighter vehicles...
I'm also wondering if you're going to add more planets to the skirmish map... maybe use a cargoship (or something like a troop transport) to capture a planet (based on how many people are on said planet... just a thought)
I really enjoyed it... testing to see how strong human battlecruisers are (and dying horrible) is a great way to pass time.

I notice that my games get mentioned a lot in topics like these... :/
That's what happens when you actually finish a game...
Think of it as free advertising...

Also I know some of you dudes are not going to be happy with me for saying this but sometimes when you aren't able to do something it means you shouldn't. If you are good at writing music and awful at singing, then you get someone to sing for you. You don't put out a beautiful melody with atrocious singing out there and ask everyone what they think of it, if it's just a hobby you keep this bad copy to yourself because you admitted you were bad at it and you know it's bad. People who use RTP and rips know it's not very cool to do so, and they do it anyway instead of just finding someone who IS good (and there are a lot of these people out there who like doing sprite shit but don't have the patience or skill to do the programming bits). If you know you're using awful junk in your game, you can't be defensive when people call you out on it being bad--you made that decision to leave it in there.

So what you're saying is, if you suck at something, don't do it? (Paraphrased)
What a defeatest additude...
We're not all born with the abilities to do things, such as sing or write music... that does not mean, however,  that we should just give up and do what we're good at...
Its like saying "If you can't draw, don't bother..." practice makes perfect, four years ago I couldn't even type 20 wpm with the hunt and peck method of entering keys... but because of practice, I'm now hitting 50 to 60 wpm... depending on if I'm not making errors and backspacing. I wouldn't have gotten to this point without that practice period.
Sure, not everyone can sing... not everyone is born with that talent... but if you spend your time practicing singing, you're eventually gonna get good at it, it might take you years, but you'll get good at it.
Yes, there's also limitations, such as tools and other items. But heck, even with MS paint, you can make a great looking sprite or tileset, but it takes time, effort, and PRACTICE (broken record... oh god, my teacher's rubbing off on me!)
You can say what you will, but the fact remains.
"If you shoot a target and miss, you'll know where you need improvement, if you don't take that shot, then you're always gonna miss"

Edit: Vell, read my post above this one... and JM, Vell beat you too...

I talk to myself in different voices, personallities work themselves out from there...

What?

(On a more serious note)
Usually I make the sprite frist and work my way from there... once I know what they looks like I can start adding a personallity, thinking about how said character will talk, act, and think. Granted, the appearance has nothing to do with the personally design, it just depends on what mood I'm in...

Why do people use the rpts, Rips, and other people's graphics?
Easy, they can't make their own that look good... not everybody (EI me...) has the talents to make an entire chipset or battleset... and most people can't do something to customize the sets to match other sets...
On the surface, yeah, its simple, move this here, that there...but after a short time getting everything to look right becomes a much more difficult challenge...
Sometimes it is just the lacking of tools (I only have paint, for example... down the road, not across), other times its the lacking of time, and more often then not is the lacking of skills needed to make something they want to use.
Heck, I've been trying to make a fully custom chipset, just right now its shoving its boot up my @$S, those autotiles man, they don't like me...
(Maybe I should be making a fantasy set rather then a scifi set... meh)

Also... Grammar check please... this constant stream of (i)s instead of (I)s is driving me nuts...

And personally, I prefer to play games with graphics that "look" good to me... the first impression for a game is the key point, and if the graphics are horribly done, (no shades, no color, poorly drawn... etc) usually the end project is about the same quality (if you haven't put time and effort into the graphics, then I can expect the same effort went into the story and map design, do you see where I'm coming from?)

I'd rather see the RPT graphics then see a chipset that looks like it was done in 20 minutes.

Personally I just enjoy games because they're supposidly fun.
Mirror's edge, Final Fantasy 7, Call of Duty 4, had little, if any, actual blood and gore in it... and they are some of the most popular games I can think of (that tons of people play.), while games like CoD WaW and L4D, it does little to enhaunce gameplay (and most people stick to CoD 4 over WaW because it has a more...)
FF7 is still a high rated RPG not because of its violence, but the story it gave us.
Mirror's edge had no blood (that I noticed) and it is one of the most thrilling experiences I have ever gotten from a video game.
CoD 4 has tons of customizability, face paced gameplay, and some of the hardest game levels I have ever played.
CoD WaW ofcourse has customizability, but because of its unfair perk advantages (Seriously, when I can kill 5 people within a minute while in laststand the whole time... there is something wrong here.) and its overcomplicated Levels (I play on Veteran, beat the milehighclub, but I can't even get off the first WaW level without losing interest in it...)
Games need to either touch on new grounds that are still considered "fun", or give us a ton of replay value in order to become effective (super smash brothers is a good example of replayability.)
I personally think games need more customization, without losing the feeling of balance throughout the game, like how CoD 4... Bombsquad is one of the perks that are unlocked almost right off the start, which gives you an edge against claymores... but it cost the ability to use C4, Claymores, or even rockets and newbtubes. (srry bout the long CoD rant... just its the game I have played the most out of the bunch.)
Dead Rising is the only game I think that benefitted from the Gore, and that was because I couldn't stop laughing after I impaled a zombie on the drill and used its limbs as a weapon...

Malwar Bytes, SUPERAntiSpyware, and Spy Bot are not working for me, they either don't start at all, or get the "had to close, Send Error report."
not only that, but I keep getting Random New Viruses without going to any websites (ie Letting My comp sit while Virus Scan is running a 4th time...)
I Also can't log in under any of my names unless I enter under Safe mode (which hasn't been a problem so far.)
I Think its Malware (this all started when randomly "SpyGaurd 2008" appeared on my comp...)
It also says my automatic updates are turned off, and won't let me turn them on (Yet is shows they're on when I go under another Directory.)
Any Ideas on how to fix this delema without taking it to a professional (I'm broke for 2 weeks...)

I'm having an issue with a piece of spyware that managed to get on my computer...
Spybot S&D can't find it (I have checked for updates regularly.) and avast doesn't pick up spyware (or it hasn't picked up this one if it can.)
It shows the red shield in the quicklink box and opens to a website (and regularly pops up "You have a security issue... get the best protection at etc."
Bah, what I get for trying to find the freaking Gargoyles in Fable 2...
Guess my question is, is there any software that I can get (free or paid...) that can rid me of this nightmare...

I actually enjoyed this game all the way though...
Its simple, granted... and I didn't realize there was alot of hype for it... (had I not seen the Cad comic on it I woulda never looked twice at it)
But all in all, its a good game. Alot of customization thoughout the entire thing, gets a bit repeatitive, but so what? Every game does... look at any fps... Solve puzzle, shot guy... pick up glowy thing... kill boss... etc.
I played through the game 5 times already (trying different things as I went along... I like playing as an Omnivore... lots of kick ass abilities.)
but I guess its what you make of it... I find its a pretty free roam game... I don't HAVE to evolve, I could stay in the cell stage if I wanted to, or I can get to the space age and fly around until I reach the center of the universe. Its also alot less stressful then, say, halo or TF2... where if you suck, you're boned... while Spore is simple and easy to learn, and there's no pressure to make the best creature, or be the best Starship pilot.

BTW... there already is a Paintball Zombie Gamemode...
Zombies and Surviviors both have guns (cause, seriously... who would go down there without the ability to shoot)
If a Zombies shoots a Survivior anywhere... they become a Zombies... (They being Survivior)
If a Survivior headshots a Zombies. they become a Survivior (they being Zombies)
If a Survivior shoots a Zombies anywhere other then the head... nothing happens.
One side wins once there are no more players on the other side.
Basic... Simple... Fun...

I just got a new computer a few days ago...
For some reason, everytime I go on the internet and type in a website name (like Machinima.com, or Bungie.net) it opens another blank window and doesn't load the website on either windows. The first window remains on google while the second does nothing... though when I click a link in the search engine... it works perfectly...
It is running Windows XP Pro Serive pack 3.
(note... I used google to get here... -.-)
Edit: I also have a modemn, yet it keeps saying it wants to connect to wireless...
I tried changing the connection settings but it would only let me choose Wireless style connections.

I enjoyed it... but then again the only other game I played like it was the First FFT... but that was for DS...
FFT had a great plot, lots of classes (which is a reason I replay it... alot...)
FFTA2 I might replay abit... but I've already mastered the Fighter class (oh yeah... the class system... I don't like it...)
I liked FFT because you actually could choose the skills you wanted... rather then have to find the loot to build the item which teaches it... because I still haven't found the items needed to teach my ninja duel wield...
