Resident evil 5 was much more fun when i set my game settings to open.
I've finished the game and was playing through trying to unlock and upgrade stuff and a random guy joined, I forgot i had left it open so i figured Why not and reset the chapter.
Most fun i have had with the game.
The guy was pretty good, didn't know all the tricks or ways to kills bosses and he hadn't unlocked unlimited ammo on anything. But it was MUCH more enjoyable than playing with an AI.
Unfortunately there is no emote buttons (That i know of) because being able to say "GO THERE" or "GET THIS" or "STOP" would've been so handy. Instead we resulted to a System of aiming at something and saying "CHRIS"
Trying to figure ways to Communicate and was fantastic fun.

I had fun with the game once i distanced it from resident evil completely. Story was shitty, Controls were clunky. Reapers are FUCKING MOTHERFUCKING SONS OF BITCHES. but i've gotten used to the controls. and killing zombies is fun.

I keep saying though, I would love to see RE2 remade with this. NO spawning ammo from enemies would change the mechanics of the game COMPLETELY.

My thoughts so far:

I bought my copy this morning. Resident Evil 5 is f*cken awesome plain & simple. Only playing it on normal right now but this game is delivering for me right now.

Voice acting & facial animation is amazing along with the lighting, textures, this games graphics are up their with Gears of War, Killzone, etc. The level design is very well done and the pacing is excellent. Not that far in yet but the story so far has done it's job.

Taking a break from it for now but can't wait to get back to it.

The level design has been pretty bland so far.
Its just tight Corridors of gritty dirty shacks.
With bloody animal corpses.

The game has had no horror in it at all, Its not survival Horror at all. Just an action game where the main character moves like a pile of bricks. Rolling down a hill. into a river of cement. And has to stand still to shoot. Its stuck somewhere in the middle of the old resident evils and new games.

I would actually like to see them Remake Resident evil 2 with a system like the newer ones, I just want to see how it would play.

i wasn't a fan of the review on 1up.
I don't like reviews that just say positives about a game, it just feels like they are lying or suger coating the whole thing. or that they didn't play it the whole way.
If they pointed out "Yeah environments looked pretty, if you like concrete" or something like that it would put me at ease abit. because i notice when i first play a game, it is the most fantastic thing in the world, then i finish it and a week later i'll start thinking about the bugs.

That said i gave it another run through last night using just the pistol. and looking for guns that i hadn't seen yet.
So far the weapons i found in the demo were
-human revolver,
-human assault rifle
-human rocket launcher
-gasmask dude assault rifle
-gasmask dude semi auto rifle

give it a bit,
I remember when i first got my psp years ago it was version 1.5 firmware. Then after looking around for a week or two the memory card swap trick came out.

You could also probably pick up a swag of decent psp games second hand or bargain binned

Its out now, Just played it and didn't see a topic about it.

Besides the demo being a bit short for the gig and a bit download,
Anyone else played this?

I like the cover system and think its the first game that actually has a first person cover system.
Although it looks pretty, I don't see much really special or mind blowing about the game though, A genericish first person shooter set in industrial and ruined buildings like the first. I might wait until some full reviews come in before running out and buying it. I was a fan of the first but would rather wait abit before spending $120 (AUD) on another game that could be ridiculously short

I played them all co-op mostly.
I liked the 3rd on co-op the most, but that might just be because i haven't played the other ones in a while.

why do people post like this. stop saying that you havent slept in days thats a retarded thing to say, actually giving any excuse as to why the picture of you looks "bad" or whatever is stupid. pick a different picture dont just posta  bad picture and say "oh yeah sorry about this my finger was in the way of the lens and the camera was upside-down also i havent slept in 3 days and im tired as fuck also im sick" a

lso why do you only have pics of yourself after being up for days or at ridiculous hours of the morning? why are these the pictures people choose to post?
Go Suck a fuck you asshole.
Here is the last picture taken of me last year with my amigo and drummer Tom, Looking Drug fucked, sleepless and drunk off my ass. Tell me its that much different from the other photos really.

And im sorry, i dont exactly see a photo of you in this thread. Perhaps you could lead by example.

he had to make sure the government didn't have a tap on his internet. I bet he used a webcafe to do this.

Its more than possible that its an experimental craft, possibly not military either, I've seen CRAZY photos of shit people have built.

Yeah just under 4 hours for me but like I said I am an EXTREMELY FAST GAMER. I don't actually know anyone else who roars through games as fast as I do (latest record is Infinite Undiscovery in 15 hours). EXTREMELY FAST GAMER, that sounds ridiculously gay. huh.

Yeah 4 hours is about right, Took me abit longer because i got shitted at it so easy and went and did other things.
For the PC version it looks like they just put material in there and physics for having it fall. This wont affect gameplay at all or make the game better. It will still have the same flaws it did previously.

Im not that impressed with this news.

Quote
The game is of the “touch shooting” genre and will use the iPhone’s touchscreen for targetting as well as zoom mode control.  The initial release will feature eight stages, with more to come in future updates.  Progress in the game will be rewarded by unlocked images and wallpaper from the Metal Gear series.

That sounds shit.
I do not think the Iphone could do a Successful MGS game.
A Metal Gear Ac!d game, Fine, Easy. But not a fully Blown one.
Something Like Metal Gear or Ghost Babel probably.
This news is dissapointing that its just going to be a Lightgun game.
The Silent Hill game seems about the same aswell.

I downloaded this last night.
Resident evil 4 in Africa. Same animations, Same camera angles, Same Sounds, I mean fuck the Door even Splinters the same way. And chris still cant move and Fire. Level design feels the same, It looks pretty though.

I kinda Dig the new Inventory system. Going back old school/outbreak.
The Partner system is kinda just giving the schoolgirl a gun.

And i noticed Chris does strafe, just not really fast and not while you are aiming.

I laughed so hard at the bit where the zombies are ment to be Swarming from the hangman's noose in the cutscene. then when the game loads there is a trickle of two or three guys slowly climbing a fence.

I was hoping they were going for a bit more speed instead of making the character feel like a clunky Tank. Oh well, I'll still get it. but im not going to be happy about it. Cold Fear was a greater resident evil than resident evil 4

maybe he means like a modern day STAR WARS city, so it would be like you're just tryin to get by in the streets of mos eisley and maybe you can eventually rule a moon-based mining operation.

actually rereading his post it sounds more like he just wants jedi in nyc but um... i like my idea

I like the Jedi in Nyc idea more. It'd be fun.

i would like DeadSpace, But more suspenseful, Less Ammo, No Store to buy things, and more survival horrorish.
Maybe melee weapons, like anything. And more creepy.
Oh and No GPS, and less of the "Ok issac you go fix this while we wait here" They can do some work or maybe even
a sequence where you sit there while they go fix something

So I just got into this last night and so far its really fun and creepy especially those tentacle babies

Did anyone see the Animated movie they made for this? Its a prequal and it takes place before Isaac and the others reach the station I only saw a little bit of it (it was on the scifi channel) but it was pretty good and I might try to download it.

I think it was just called "Dead Space" but I cant really remember.

Dead Space Downfall,
Yeah i saw it.
I liked the Graphic novel better.
I wish they kept that style.

I missed the first wave of Clone Wars Episodes, Im since trying to find a stream site to watch them all on.
But i saw the movie and although it was a tad Childish (it was obviously made for a wide audience) i enjoyed the Style and the animation.
I also liked the clone troopers themselves. The more i watch it the more i want a game or a movie purely about Regular Clone Troopers, That isn't republic commando.. that was kinda crappy. I also caught the first episode and thought it was entertaining enough.
If i continue to be bored i may look up the rest of it/

EDIT:
I just watched the first 2 eps,
The Second ep, there was something cold and fucking frightening about the droids prying open the pods.
