I read somewhere (I can't remember where) that the dog was already dead (killed by something unknown) and the soldiers just threw the dead dog then someone got a hold of the video and dubbed the dog whimpering sounds in.

I have no idea if this is true or not but I'm almost positive the sounds of the dog were dubbed in later, they don't sound real at all. Also the dog looks real to me but VERY stiff, it doesn't move like at all and when they threw it it just kind of twirled in the air. You'd think a live dog would freak out and start waving its legs around and stuff. (I know that when my boyfriend plays with our dog and lifts him off the ground and flips him upside down and stuff his legs and tail and wigg out like mad. His tail looks like a helicopter blade!)

Finally, if it is real then shame on the soldiers but I don't wish them death like most people on the internet seem to. It's messed up but there are a lot more serious messed up things going on right now.

I don't LOVE it but I do enjoy the game. Especially the awesome Russian accent on that one guy... ;)

Yes, I can attest to this, I beat Uncharted in about 6-7 hours when I originally first played it but I didn't get any of the unlockables or anything. Heavenly sword was really short my boyfriend bought it when it first came out and I think he beat it in 3 sittings.

I actually agree with angry black man on this. I distinctly remember (most) games being short but sweet back in the day. The only obvious exception to this are RPG's.

Also, I remember back in the SNES/Genesis days games cost AT LEAST as much as they do now if not more (there are obviously some exceptions to this)

I would much prefer a great short game to a long boning one. I'm also not really into multiplayer so I'm happier when more emphasis is put into the single player modes.

Nowadays though the trend is certainly leaning more to online multiplayer gaming. A lot of people now won't even buy a game if it doesn't come with online multiplayer.

As I stated above though, I really don't care at all for online.

Oh I've heard of it, I also briefly played the original back on the Nintendo 64. I just don't really know the dynamics of the game.

Can 4 people play against each other on the same machine?

How's the single player in things like this?

I'm not too much into online stuff (because I am bad at fighting games and would loose in like 2 seconds...**also because literally everyone I've played online with is either a) an inmature retard who asks me how big my boobs are every 2 seconds or b) someone who takes winning video games WAY too seriously and screams at me when I mess up...)**

I am so bad at fighting games.

I gave up on them since Street Fighter II when I would play with my sister and attempt to actually put it combo codes and then get completely annihilated when she would just mash her palm into the controller and do some crazy death move repeatedly.

Since then I think I've only played some Mortal Kombat (single player, I only got to like the 3rd guy), and some Killer Instinct (on the easiest setting, I think I may have actually beat this one...).

Good luck to everyone else though. Looks like fun!

This is a great game, I got it when it first came out.

It's not the longest game around, maybe 6 hours all the way though.

Plot-wise I thought it was pretty good, very funny and cute. Although and there is a bit near the end that seems to come out of nowhere plot wise and it almost turns into a Resident Evil run and gun.

I would have preferred more platform action rather than shooting. (it's probably about 80% shooting to 20% platforming)

It's quite difficult on the harder settings and I liked the unlockables (the "Next Gen" filter made me laugh).

Obviously it's beautiful, very vibrant top notch stuff.

I'm not really surprised Blu-Ray won but I was REALLY hoping HD-DVD would win out.

I feel bad for all of those people who bought HD-DVD players over the holidays because of the sales, it's only 2 months later and they're screwed.

I have a 60GB PS3 and the only PS2 or PS1 game I've had issues with was Chrono Cross.

Unfortunately, the glitch makes and game completely unplayable after a certain point (ghost ship) and from my investigations online EVERYONE who plays CC on PS3 has this problem (the game freezes up requiring a hard reset when you use a an element (or the enemy uses an element) and it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME!)

So I'm upset about that but everything else works great!

To be fair to Mercs 2 it still doesn't have an official release date (on any format) so wherever you heard February and April are both likely wrong.
