PsychoSkull more or less hit the nail on the head.

This issue was quite below the standard of the others in my opinion, but I may as well post it anyway, just one of the things that always bugged me in the games

Ah, well if you want more inspiration or help in that specific regard. I would suggest googling "Magical Realism" and reading a few stories you find as a result. The classic standard (at least to get a good idea of what magical realism is) is "The Very Old Man With Enormous Wings" but there are a lot to choose from.

Oh... And your word balloons are pretty good. (I guess...)

I'm dissapointed in you. I'm 17 myself, and I stopped watching DBZ, Yugioh, Pokemon, etc when I was like 12. Actually I never even watched Yugioh.

Well, I was more talking about the fact that I wasn't funny but I thought I was... But thanks, now I'm even more ashamed. (I mean it really was more of a "Well, nothing better is on" sort of thing, but that's no excuse.)

How can you be so old and still have such bad taste?

Actually, I'm ashamed to admit, I'm fairly certain I had similar taste when I was 17.

I'd like to think I've changed within the past 2 years and improved my tastes a bit, but I'm still wary of showing off my creativity since every idea I've had so far has looked to be really stupid in retrospect, and I'm not the type of person who plays aganst the odds. (I like to think it's what seperates me from the Majin Sams of the world)

They do like putting red charge bars on soul-slayers nowadays.

And the scapel thing is obviously a psychological weapon, intended to play on the deep hidden traumas of the enemy stemming from his past experiences with surgeons.

My point is that it's the only explanation the author gave, and if he didn't want you to think that's THE explanation, why did he give it in the first place? I can understand where you are coming from, but situations like that usually stem from when the show gives absolutley no explanation for things. (I do believe your thoughts have a heavy basis, but in order for them to work and make sense, the writing will have to reach a whole new level, which I doubt Bleach is capable of)

I mean, to give something a perfectly reasonable and logical explanation, only to take it away in favor of pulling a random plot point out of thin air. Yes I consider that bad writing where I come from.

I never even thought about it before. Mainly because I never figured it needed thinking about in the first place. I mean looking at the way the episode was set up, he was at between 90-99 percent hollowfication when he finally acheived his death-god powers (if you consider how much of his "world" got blown away and turned into cardboard boxes a good indicator). Not to mention the fact that the mask covered his face, and he had to rip it off during the process (since it's been mentioned in almost every post.) And even in this arc, given how the Arrancar go on and on about how important the whole mask thing is. I mean I'm not saying it's bad for you to have your doubts, but there is so much evidence on this side of thought the series and you guys dismissing it offer NOTHING of your own to back up your points, except "All of what you say is circumstantial. There is nothing definite about it!" If Bleach was a novel, you guys would get F's on your midterm. (while us on the otherhand, would get at least C's or low B's)

Then again, I am very skeptical of that being the cause, not because it isn't the most fucking logical thing in the universe, but because it is the most fucking logical thing in the universe. HEAVEN FORBID that the writers of this show do something that everyone predicts. My prediction is that they do something unexpected for the sole reason of it being unexpected.

And at that point, I'll will most likely drop this show for good.

But seriously speaking, Why can't you guys just go and beleive what the show wants you to beleive? I mean what do you guys need? For one of the main characters to say, "Well, that hollow inside of Ichigo is due to him almost turning when trying to regain his death god powers"? I mean, yes. I know that there is no way of knowing what the author knows when it comes to this particular aspect of Bleach, but I think the author has made it pretty fucking clear what he wants you to think. Can't you just give in to the author's wishes?

And I am serious that if it turns out to be some random bullshit thing that has absolutley NOTHING to do with Ichigo almost turning into a hollow, I will blame it on bad writing and quit this show for good. I mean the only exception is that it'd have to be a pretty spectacular and fucking classy reason that's beyond compare, (even classier than the soul society arc spoilers) and it's kinda silly to have such an expectation.

then how come no one else does it huh?!??!!

1. Because it's stupid.
2. It doesn't come out a nice even shade of anime orange like ichigo's hair.
3. Because i'm fairly sure that bleach burns your scalp aswell.

I still can't belive I missed that connection with the show's name. (I'm thuroughly embarrased)
Makes me love the show even more, since it's solid proof the show doesn't take itself seriously that I can explain to other people who have never even heard of it!

Me: No, you don't understand. Bleach isn't like other shoen such as Naruto or DBZ. You see, it doesn't take itself seriously.
Other Person: Oh really, and you expect me to believe you?
Me: But the show is called "Bleach".
Other Person: So?
Me: The main character's hair is orange.
Other Person: *long pause* Okay. I'll check it out.

While I'm fruiously masturbating to the awesome amount of violence in this latest episode, there's still the odd warning bell in the back of my head that shrieks "Dragonball-iiiiiiieeeeeeee-zzzz!!!". Then again, all Shounen besides One Piece is destined to become DBZ at one time or the other.

Here's to hoping it keeps this up for a while anyway!

It's weird because when I saw the latest episode, I actually got an odd feeling of "Marvel Comics", which I can't explain at all considering I don't even read comic books. Then again, I've had that odd dbz warning bell ever since the second half of the SS arc. But considering how they have gotten everything right so far (well, right given a fair amount of leeway), I'm not so worried about that. I mean, they made a filler arc that wasn't complete trash, they keep making wide gaps in power level differences and haven't contradicted themselves yet (a feat dbz failed at from nearly the start). Hell, that second to latest episode proved they could even get FANSERVICE right. (It gave the warning bells of fanservice from like, a MILE away, and it still caught me off guard. I'm actually ashamed I couldn't predict it.)

Although it would suck if they started going "too far" with it before all the important stuff gets resolved (hopefully it will be resolved during this arc).

Yeah, as long as the "artists pages" element is still on the development queue, I'm not complaining.

And the release in parts is a good idea, given that each part is 100% complete before being added.

Well the main problem is the gif exportion. Whatever of those features I make always gets messed up, shittily blurred and horribly lagged. Then again I have Flash 5.0 so it could be that.
Well yeah, gif does have a lot of problems. Mainly since you really have to be bare-bones when using flash for Gif. *no masks, no actionscript, don't EVEN try using masks and exporting to gif* If you want to make gif animations, I would just avoid flash. (maybe use Toonboom, it's pretty close to flash, but does gif extremely well)The funny thing is, that I always thought flash was better because it exported to a format that ISN'T gif. (you know, something with smaller sizes and sound support)

i will skip to flash as soon as it can do dot pattern shading crisp outlines, high-fps gifs and can export them without majorly messing up one or many of those conditions
It can do any of those things if you know how... The crisp outline thing is coming in Flash 8. (but can be done in any version if you aren't LAZY)I haven't seen it in application, but I'm sure the dot pattern shading is possible with the bitmap fill option. Even if that method fails there's always using masks. (I haven't tested either though since I'm not interested crazy Japfaggy manga effects)And I know the methods I've listed aren't affected by high FPS's. I'm curious as to why you even said that. (have you had a bad experience with flash?)
