i do. i don't know what the answer is though.

recently another forum i was a 15 year member of closed without me noticing and i was really sad at what was lost, ephemera around game projects released and unreleased, discussions that lead to design decisions etc. i'm glad tigsource is still going, i was thinking recently i might make more of an effort. twitter can be tiring for these kinds of discussions, facebook is pretty much toxic these days imho.

probably best if you watch it muted and just let your imagination run riot

in my previous life i was a fulltime d'n'b dj / producer known as Sonic / Sonic & Silver / Accidental Heroes (nothing to do with the game character, i didn't design games in that period.) this was from about 1998 - 2011.

i'm going through the process of re-releasing my d'n'b back cat digitally that was previously only available on vinyl. the first two releases i put up on bandcamp today, originally released in 2002. made the old way with a big desk, lots of effects, 90's VA synths, and mostly based around the EMU sampler:

anyway, i like it a lot, so hopefully that didn't come across as insulting!

*just that my knowledge of more 'ambient' electronic music is small (if you'd even describe it thus), and i don't have many other points of reference. i like OPN's two recent albums a lot, and listening back don't hear much of a connection at all, just some of the pads and journey-like arrangements perhaps

really enjoying this one. giving me oneohtrix point never vibes (especially on the more ambient sections, which i prefer generally... wonder how a mostly beatless album would sound from you...)

great track names
