@ragnar that third one sounds like a 707 on crack. it's like the snare was so fat that they didn't bother making any other sounds after that and all the other buttons do nothing

ah yeah that's most of the non-action ones, besides DMII (that last battle was horrible, but sure stuck in one's head. got stuck there for months but did get there.). Etrian Odyssey series too (too grindy for my taste but purdy.) would like someone familiar with this subgenre to post some images as i'm far less clued up about these
