Entertainment and Media Last movie you watched?

The last movie I watched was 9, it was really good but I had to rewind a few spots because the action happened too fast. The ending is a tad confusing

I feel that the extended stuff like rape, extreme violence or child abuse in a game is only ok, for whatever reason, if:

You do not see or hear it - a blackout before he grabs her, or the camera stops following the player and there are no sounds that can vividly help the asshole playing the game enjoy the fantasy.

It is of moderate horribility, like stuff you could watch on daytime TV, or find in the general section of the library. Like you cannot compare racism and adult abuse to anything concerning a child. I saw a show on prisons where a man was beaten by everybody else for hurting a kid, it's a touchy subject I think.

You can label a game as Adults Only, you can restrict access and even lock it up but once an idea leaves the human mind into reality, somewhere/somehow/someway someone who isn't meant to see it will and shit will hit the fan.

Those sprites would work best in AGS I think, but they do look really good

How about a Dope class? You do lots of damage but usually it is inflicted on your own team mates or a total miss.
Maybe Rand0 to # = x, IF x = 6 THEN spell targets ally...?
It'd be like Russian Roulette with a Railgun.

As for the Homo class, it'd be more of a sitcom version where they are really fruity and 'ew a bug!'. And then you stay free at the Inn for helping with the housekeeping. Maybe the downside is you cannot use weapons cause you're a chicken.

Pothead - Can only leavel up by using herbs, lots and lots of herbs. Allows Confusion and gets you deals in the herb shop.
Drunk - Can inflict Fear and Blindness. Allows full rejuvination while sleeping outside.
Homosexual - Stay at the Inn for free in exchange for a much higher monster encounter rate.
Diplomat - Pay the monsters to take a hike, but you still get the experience.
RottGuy - Feign Death - The battle ends in defeat and then is immediately restarted with you having First Strike. Can only be used once per battle and cannot be used on bosses because then they rape you.

ACTUALLY... Jesus can win battles by avoiding confrontation! He learns Speachcraft and Merchantile abilities and gains experience through understanding and showing the light path to his objectors. And what is a fireball spell if not mere WORDS spoken from a BOOK eh? As for which story to follow, simply have different endings with choices from those books as player-choosables!

*edit: haha, give Jesus an alignment meter and at the end the player finds out how today's society has ended up with each ending.

I am stuck on the chapter just after the long cutscene where

you hear about her mother and then have to fight some guy that teleports everywhere

My gripe here is that there is this puzzle area, then the cutscene, then the other thing, with NO Save Point! I keep failing and have to watch that stupid scene again.

1. Do people even give a hoot about Class systems anymore or are you discouraged by them?
I think different classes opens up the replay value. For example mixing different classes, or going it alone with each separately.

2. If a game did have one would you prefer to be able to change classes at will or a "One choice and you’re stuck with it" system?
Be stuck with it, unless it is similar to your current one. A soldier shouldn't suddenly be infused with magical abilities but he could learn archery, experiment with herbs and then become an apothacary. A Cleric might dabble in the dark arts or learn the bow.

3. Exactly how should the Class system impact the game in your view, for example, like FFV where the story seems to revolve around it or more like an extra add-on?
If you could make the story differ depending on your class (prejudices, different methods) that would be most exciting, otherwise it would simply change the difficulty. (Like an elf might be better at riding the magical unicycle of Thermos, than a dwarf)

4. Do you prefer classes to be restricted to what kinds of equipment they can use or do you prefer more freedom in that department?
Again, a pansey Elf shouldn't be able to wield a battle axe and dwarves should stay away from the leotard.

5. Should Class skills be learnt as you level up or acquired though other means? (Such as buying them with Points or the like)
Most skills should be learned as you progress, with special extras available from training or side quests. We all learn to walk, but not everyone learns to drive. It can make life easier or (in my case) become a useless skill.
