i've just realized that nobody ever asks for remakes of books

like, nobody asks for a remake of hamlet so that it's in modern english. actually idk they do try to make hamlet movies in different bizarro settings

but that's different. yes, nobody wants to see books be remade. that was my original point

yeah it's true, i'm not saying it's bad. it's just so awful that it's the only good news that we have.

edit: like THERE ARE NO HOSPITALS (i'm lying there are some but most of them are unusable/out of energy) and the only good thing is that it's sunny and not too hot.

this is seriously the worst thing that could happen to that country right now. the fact that the earthquake basically took out all of the working hospitals doesn't make it any better. according to one aid worker, the only good thing right now is that "the weather is really nice." fuck, is that the only good news we get? "possibly hundreds of thousands of people are dead but the weather is pretty good. in fact the weather couldn't be better for this kind of earthquake." someone literally said that. THE WEATHER IS NICE.

zelda spirit tracks is def. better than phantom hourglass. the music is better, and iirc phantom hourglass had like one repeating song for all of the dungeons and islands and that got really annoying fast

but the train is kind of boring. and those goddamn phantom trains or w/e they're called are really annoying.
