i think the whole sticking to humanoid aliens in sci fi stuff is pretty true. i remember reading an interview with the director of district 9 about how he made the aliens insectoid but had to add human-like features for the expressions because otherwise the audience (us) wouldn't be able to empathize with any of those fooking prawns
this seems like a generic sci-fi movie with great graphics btw
i hate how when like ONE GUY writes a negative review of the film with legitimate points, a swarm of angry fans instantly tells him/her in the comments section that s/he is dumb and doesn't know anything about art. buuuut these are the same people that make comments on youtube videos so idk i guass their points are immediately invalid
ehhh i never beat the game because it dragged on too fucking long. like, there was never any sense of URGENCY or a need to do anything. i never felt compelled to do anything at all. it was all just like, "do this, i guess. and go there, too, and get that one guy. i don't remember just save the world or something okay good job"
honestly final fantasy peaked with vi/vii. after the success of vii they decided to just try to copy vii's script and make it longer and add voice acting and realistic character models. square really lost the personality of the franchise once they changed art style and tone.
like, ffvi wasn't perfect but it did a lot of things right and better than most of the post vii final fantasies. for one, it was pretty brief. the plot was easy to follow, even with the sheer amount of characters. the script isn't a marvel but it has enough charm to carry the game and keep you interested in the welfare of the characters.
really, all final fantasy (and any square game these days) does is follow the shitty GRIND BOSS CUTSCENE MINIGAME formula. it's just more obvious and less entertaining with the later installments. there's nothing engaging about the games anymore, except that they keep changing the battle system (but really keeping it the exact same. and making it pointlessly complex).
man why did i do this i'm discussing final fantasy god i'm gay
steel is fucking inspiring and it's a downright shame and goddamn awful thing that he had to die. that's all. i've been looking for something to say ever since i read he died, and this is all i could come up with. i can only wish that he rests in peace knowing how many people he's inspired.
i think ffxiii looks pretty. those are my thoughts. i don't have a ps3 and i don't plan on getting one or this game. does anyone buy ps3 games without buying a ps3? i bet you some people buy all the squeenix games regardless of whether or not they have the systems to play them on. i think that's funny.
