So I've been working with Coca-Cola part time now for a little over a year, and lately It hasn't been great. Obviously I need to get another/new job soon, which I plan on. The thing that fucking bugs me is not getting paid. Yeah. My money is 7 weeks late now, I called every week and they said "Yeah we'll put your hours in". I figured that was it. I live in on the East Coast and my cheque comes from Ontario, so a few days or a week late cause of the mail isn't that big of a deal to me.
I called back a couple days ago and the guy that "Puts your hours in", not my boss (apparently), 'forgot' too. What the fuck. The company that pays me is Manpower, (maybe if you're in Ontario or something you'll know it, I dont know) but the job is for CocaCola. This isn't the first time, I think once my money was on time. I can expect it to be 2-3 weeks late at least. They won't even directly deposit the funds into my account, which I think is retarded, because most part-time jobs will. I've got financial commitments, as do most, and while I am looking for another job I still need the money they owe me.
I doubt there is any legal action I can take. I'll call more often and harass the shit out of them/do a shitty job at work, I don't know. This makes me really angry. Ironically my friend and I (Who works for Pepsi, go figure) carpool sometimes in the morning, he tells me, and I know, that he gets paid on time. Bullshit.
I was even promised Coke products for Christmas but I didnt get them : (
fuck coke go with pepsi
has anybody else NOT GOT PAID BECAUSE THEY FORGOT?
What the fuck? Is Chile seriously the only place in the world where a gobernment agency can fine the fuck out of an employer who doesn't pay in full and/or on time?
I seriously have a hard time believing this is such a revolutionary concept that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world.
I mean seriously, it sucks when companies basically shit on you and the government just looks the other way, and all you can do is a civil lawsuit, those take years and cost a zillion dollars, not to mention it's not easy beating a big company.
