@UPRC: Thanks! Yeah, I've been meaning to fix that text. ^.^ Had it centred just right for one item, then it went whacko with another. =P

@Kaempher: Yeah, I might try and fix that. It surprised me that it was side-view too (it's an edit of the RTP skiff). Thanks! I'm rather partial to those chests as well. ^.^

@gunslinger: I actually tried to do that but it seems that while the characters are small, they're just big enough to not fit well on the raft. I even tried shrinking them a bit, but that didn't help much and made it look dicky.  As to the text - I've been meaning to fix it. ^.^

I read the first two books and didn't mind it for filler entertainment. Lent them to my cousin and he's obsessed.  Yes, I contributed to the problem.

What have I done?

I wouldn't have a problem with the series if people didn't get so... so... orgasmically obsessed? It's just a book, not the be-all-end-all. -_-

I suppose it could be worse. It could be required reading in high schools. <shudder>

I'm having a lot more fun re-mapping Selva than I thought I would. It's gone from a 'city' with a small residential area and a couple of stores to having factories and manors. I've also made it look larger (more like a city) by adding little 'peeks' at different areas around the central city borders.

School of Thought, Arts and Sciences, Manor Lane and Residential Corner D

Factories

Selva. I wouldn't call it a metropolis, but it is one of the larger cities in RealmS.

Still have a lot of NPCs to create but it's getting there. Looks a lot different than it's original version, too. ^.^

Alucard: I like those graphics. Custom? Pretty smooth.

Those, I wasn't talking about. ^.^; Sure we got some lame ones, but there are some that are pretty good (and catchy).

As for Aussie pride? Bite me. ^.~

We have barbeques and swimming. It's actually rather fun despite the over-bearing heat. Couldn't imagine a cold Christmas. It'd be like a cat with no meow, a dog with no bark, a skunk with no smell...
Besides we have some pretty awesome carols to go with the heat. ^.^

Danzou-teme. He wanted to be the Hokage, but ended up losing to Sarutobi (the Third) and so created Root, an underground organisation made up of ANBU specialists. That's why the Third and Tsunade haven't been able to get rid of him - he is basically in charge of the 'ULTRA-secret police', as it were. As for being evil - well, he has his own agenda. Really he wants Konoha to rise back to the military strength it once was known for and to be less friendly with the other villages - like Sand.

As to Madara outlasting Pein... Well, we'll see soon enough. If they can find the real Pein among the fakes then there may be a chance of killing him, but I have a feeling that now it/he/they know where Naruto is the real one'll bail out and go fox hunting.

I know far too much about this anime. XP

As one fellow Aussie to another - I understand completely. Where I am is currently going through a cold patch (Thank God!) but it won't be long before the heat reaches the high thirties/low forties mark again. And I am not looking forward to it.

Hence the reason why I am investing in a window AC as soon as possible. For the moment, though - thanks to Christmas and lack of funds (Thanks a lot Christmas) - I'm making do with a stand fan and trips to the shower every time I dry out. Doesn't help that we're going through a drought and have water restrictions, either.

Might I suggest getting some dark rubber-back curtains to block out all the light, a stand fan with an ice-cold bucket of water beneath it so that as it evaporates it gets blown around the room and wet towels?

Grab one of those long ice-packs (the blue ones) and wrap it in a towel, then drape over unexposed areas of your computer.

Wet a face washer,  chuck it in the freezer for a while, then drape it over the back of your fan. Also, wash the fan blades (disassembly required) so that there's no dust on them.

Just a few suggestions. Good luck!

I'm a girl gamer that doesn't fit into any of those categories.

I have never touched nintendogs, nor ever will and hate most of those type of garbage, filler games. I'll admit to playing Pokemon at times (not often) as well as Sims once or twice - some puzzle games are okay, like MahJongg.
I love playing RPGs - the good ones like Suikoden and Chrono Trigger), but can also beat my brothers at fighting games like Tekken, Smash Bros and some racing games. I'm not hardcore - I play on occasion when I find a good game that I enjoy.

I'm really more of a 'Let it slide' type of person.

I also find your article mildly offensive, yet tongue-in-cheek humorous.

Just finished watching "Get Smart". As a long time fan of the TV series, I thought it was pretty good. They kept the charm of the original, I thought. ^.^ I give it a very good.

Call me slow, but I only just saw 78-79 and well... it was pretty good. Granted, I skipped a whole lot of the anime but I've been keeping abreast of the story line via manga, so I know what went on while I was 'away'.

Is it just me or was the filler this time not as bad as other fillers? Perhaps it was just not having watched for a while, but at least they took the effort to 'blend' some of the newer characters into the 'canon' eps. And I am so watching out for extra character development as a precursor to death from now on.

Now I just gotta catch up the last couple of manga.

Hey, where I was hanging out at the time of release it was overhyped. Everyone was looking forward to it and saying it was gonna be the best thing since sliced cheese when WHAMMO! Sucksville.

As for BOFQ, I read a few articles that hyped it up as an innovative, new and improved, better than ever before Breath of Fire! And again, sucksville.

Breath of Fire V
I had such high hopes for this game, to have them shot down to earth. Blood dragon counter and sucky characters. ;.;

Suikoden IV
The worst of the series with 1-dimensional characters and terrible graphics at some points. And a story that sucked haaaard. And the Main Character looked like a chicken/duck when he ran.

I'll second third fourth agree about FMA. It's got a pretty good storyline, great characters and decent graphics. Sure, sometimes it's a bit 'funny' but the overall story is really good. It even made me cry a few times. ;.;

I'm currently reading the manga for Gantz and I can only imagine just how bloody the anime version of it would be! Go~ry. >.<

Witch Hunter Robin was okay, in my opinion, though others may not agree. Pretty dark in some aspects. About a group that hunts 'witches'.

I liked Twelve Kingdoms, despite my copy being in terrible subbed engrish.
