It's summer in here too, I try to keep all windows open, not wear a shirtm short pants, bare foot directly on the floor and it helps loads, also I have a bottle with cool water 24/7 with me now...

News haven't really gotten here much, with the presidential elections coming this sunday, I just heard about an earthquake in Haiti a few days ago but NEVER thought there would be 100.000 deaths...I'm in shock.

I think it means that sometimes midis don't sound the same in rm2k, don't know how to fix it, it's really annoying when you have a nice midi and rm2k plays it with only piano tracks :/

I can't believe they STILL haven't changed anything in the map editor, I remember YEARS ago when the creator asked for input for what to change for the new version and I said some better options in the map editor and the whole comunity started saying that I wanted everything made easy and what not, I felt like in the twilight zone ._.

I thought about using a pixel movment, but using it plus the battelsystem itself lags the game considerably, so it's not really a good option for now :S

I'm using rpgmaker XP, it's tile based but has 8 way movement which takes the tiling a bit away, and it's not really a full action battle system, it's more like final fantasy 12's battles where you could walk around maps while imputing commands, so it being tile based does't affect the feeling

Some more pics of my new project, now from real maps (the screen before was just a test map)

Still have to add npc's.

I had to use shadows for text instead of outline because for some reason when using outlining the game lagged a bit when fighting enemies...
Now I just need to think of a story XD

I fixed the space thing already, was a small bug.
I thought of making my opwn graphics as I always do, but this time I want to make a game, and not just make graphics since it slows down the process too much, so for this one I'll be using mostly sword of mana rips :P

Nice Jmickle, is that a flying ninja abpve the main char?
looks a bit empty chibidestiny, and the rooms being a different resolution than the rest of the elements is a bit weird... otherwise looks good.

Here's the first screen of a new project I'm doing, secret of mana style, I've always wanted to make such a game and I started editing a script that plays more or less like I want so I'll try to keep you guys informed

HDR is just a TOOL, and like any TOOL we use photogaphy or painting or music, it can be used to HELP people get the message we want them to see (or hear) or it can be used just to "enhance" the looks of it for no reason, or even be used to ruin a before good work.

HDR looks like mostly every expensive company advertisement I've seen around here.

This is so terribly sad.
Since this topic started I always feared this could happen, and tried to stay relatively away from it because I knew it would affect me less that way, but I can't believe he died this young.... I don't know what to say.
The only thing I can remember is something that my dad told me when I was younger and I lost a friend, that instead of thinking what could have been if he was alive and all the things that he and everyone will miss, it's better to think and remember the good times he/we had. For us that didn't really know him outside of the forums it might only be a funny post or story, but for those that knew him better at least they have much more to remember...
This has made me pretty damn sad even though I never actually talked to him directly, but reading about his health all along in this topic made me (and probably all of us) much closer to him.
