What ever happened to Chef?
He got his channel deleted around 2014, and some of his videos are lost
Is anyone still in contact with him?

I had a dream the other night that I was walking through the ruins of Gaming World, encountering souls of posters that never left.

And this place is still here, figures.

Anybody down for some Soldat for old times sake?

Is this GW's final form?!

I can't believe this forum is still up. Certainly spent a lot of time on here back in the day... ahh the teenage years. Glad to see some other oldbies still posting. Are DS/Rami still around? Anyone still play Soldat?
The prodigal son returns...

Hey Chef (I think), it's been a long time. What are you up to these days?

Beethoven's symphonies on acid are probably some of the most exciting things you could possibly listen to.

Describes my first acid trip to the t, sir.

I'm a regular weed user, legal in California under Prop 215, the wonderful medical marijuana legalization act. The whole medical user thing is a joke though, I could have walked into the clinic and said "GIMME WEEEEEED", and they still would have written me the prescription.

I got my med card for recreational use, but I found out it helps me sleep better than the Ambien I was taking, and with less grogginess in the morning...

...So I sold that shit for 10 bucks a pill and went and bought more weed. And something from the bakery at the weed store.

I'm taking my B. Ed. and trying to sell spec screenplays. I'm still a dickwad, though.

As long as you're not one of those film student-y types that paces around a room explaining that ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SELL ONE SCRIPT, THEN IT'LL BE EASY STREET.

Man, I go to school with those types, and they're dickwads.

Close to finishing my degree in Visual Marketing/Photography. I work for Fotokem in Burbank, CA as a day job, basically developing and doing color corrections on various retardedly high budget Hollywood films, most of which never gets printed/seen at a theatre, ever. Sometimes big budget porn. Makes for interesting table conversation.

I try and pick up odd jobs in the TV industry, and have worked a day or two on pretty much every show NBC airs. Not terribly interesting work, just rigging lights and holding microphones.

Personal life wise? Hitting up bars, dating around, trying not to be too bored.

Glad to see we're not all sitting in our parents garages and playing Soldat...

Kelly sold the rights to a sequel away in order to score the last hundred large he needed for printing Southland Tales. It will be ridiculously bad, even among other direct to dvd titles.

Ugh.

Exactly! That is one of Heroes' biggest problems: death is meaningless on this show, because pretty much everyone who has ever died has come back to life (or has had an identical triplet or something stupid).

Soap Opera Disorder.

Heroes lost it's charm when the balance of normal people and people with powers got tipped - one of the interesting aspects of the show was how these people were viewed in contrast to mediocrity so I hope it goes back to that!

yeah i waited in line from 4-6 at target to get an external hard drive for myself and a casio keyboard as a present

i was pretty pissed because target's online ad said they opened at 5 but the fucking actual PAPER flyer said 6, so i ended up waiting an hour longer in the freezing cold

i dunno man 750 gigs for 88 bucks is pretty sweet.

...target is my day job. black friday sucked ass. our store pulled in $500k in profits at the expense of every team members soul.

I've got both, I use both for different shit, they're both computers. I still prefer Windows XP for it's decade and some of familiarity.

I will give it to Apple that Final Cut Pro HD kicks the shit out of the competition.

I didn't expect Kristen Bell to be kind of a bitch. When I got her auto we had a small chat and she was mad chill.

Yeah that shit must've been pretty cool.

I think it had something to do with the fact that they did 17 takes of the airplane scene cause Hayden couldn't get her lines right. Krysten miiiiight have been pissed about that.

It was cool, but it was also work. Not a bad way to make a few hundred bucks.

That's pretty cool, what did you do on the set?

In Episode 6, there was a scene with Elle and Claire in an airplane - in reality it was a huge airliner cabin mounted on a hydraulic platform called a gimble - I did some rigging work (lighting, mainly) and some finishing touches on the walls, around the windows, etc. It was cool but there were over 50 people doing the same thing so it was easy to get lost in the crowd.

Check it. The one and only pic I was able to shoot before being told to "Put that shit away" by NBC security.

The other scene I worked on was in Ep. 7, when Meridith finds out her brother Flint has been captured and talks with him through the holding cell glass. I just held a boom mike for that scene inside the cell, it was the end of the day and people wanted to go home. Also in the scope of the show the talent was pretty B-List for that scene so all I had to do was volunteer and they let me do sound.

Eric Roberts (The guy who plays Thompson, the boss at Primatech) borrowed my cell phone during that scene and called some area code I didn't recognize. I'm glad I get free long distance!

Does your contract prevent you from asking for autographs??

Eh, not really, but the talent really does not appreciate fanboyism on set - Hayden (who demands to be called "Hadey P" by people her age) is kind of a cool chick, I argued with her about saying sup AND giving the sup nod at the same time... Masi Oki has a new iPhone which he let me play with, and Krystin Bell is kind of a bitch!!! But yeah!

So... no, I could have asked, chose not to. Non-Disclosure Contract only forbade me to reveal plot details before the episodes aired.

T'was a religious experience to say the least.
