@skarik: that fucking spelling threw away all those beautiful graphics. seriously fix that shit.
hahahaha that's fucking hilarious....my SPELLING of how the character pronounces words ruins the graphics

now I suppose I'll have to change that - and also change every instance of fusian to fusion, right

@ed: that was the greatest thing I ever done saw

After dodging countless attempts on my life by kamikaze monkeys, alien warlords, and all that regular stuff, I have returned!

Messing around.

Disclaimer: this is wip, not final. As unfortunate as that is.

I was actually joking about the pixel shader, but the shading on the spider webs look much more natural now, though with more general shading problems than before.

The spiderwebs need a different pixel shader.

I have finished planning my submission. Work on it shall commence in like five minutes. Yeah, decided to draw a pic of the entire protagonist cast of my webcomic. It will be awesome. It has been discussed with a friend over how it will work, and thank goodness she bothered me to try to fit everybody into a single paper.

Renegade, I like that painting. A little brighter, and I know some people that would blow a little bit of dollar on shit like that. I dunno, there's some sort of funky appeal to art that' done imperfectly like so. I never understood it before, but I kind of like that kind of stuff.

You know, it probably will be. With NaCl World. Or something like that. It seems that the site development has gone stagnant, so a few months will probably do it.

@Terrorantula
All of those points have already been decided on. Utilities, security deposit, proof of how they be paying. Except for the credit screening.

Something you've missed out is that it's a student town, thus it'll probably be students renting the place, right? Here in the UK we have a totally separate set of laws referring to renting to students, and it's much more of a complicated issue. There are a LOT of extra rules when renting to students, as they're a protected group legally, so you may want to check to see if it's a similar situation over there in the US.
One, that's amazing. Two, it's definitely not what happens in the US, as far as I can find. The only code I can find about students deals with either discrimination, sexual harassment, or privacy. Students have less rights, if anything.

Fixtures and fittings - You are responsible for these, so I don't really know what you mean by 'no liability'. Like if a door breaks, the toilet won't flush, the heating goes, a window gets smashed, or just whatever to do with the fixtures/fittings then it's your job to sort it out. You can't just let them get on with it or ask them to fix it. That way leads to lawsuits and them not paying any rent.
From what I've read for Washington state law in the last two days, the tenants may be held responsible, and if they refuse to fix it or pay for it, I can give them a notice that I'm kicking them out in 30 days. If they don't leave, then I go a to court.

I was working on a leasing contract yesterday, and I just got a call from my parents (like ten minutes ago) that they'll be looking it over with some legal person later today.

You aren't allowed to rent a property out here unless the landlord has house insurance, thank fuck. Otherwise you get really shitty situations with landlords bankrupt and people homeless.
That's something else I'm worried about. On account of the tiny ass amount of moss on the roof, we were denied house insurance. Which fucking pisses me off.

My dad and I have worked on the house a bunch, and I'm probably going to be living in it next year along with the renters, so I definitely a care what happens here. Thanks everybody for the assistance sofar

// use these code boxes please its actually fucking readable
// ignore everything else, this is just rewriting it so IT'S READABLE

/* Includes */
#include <stdio.h>

/* Main */
int main( int argc, char *argv[] )
{
    // Var decs
    FILE *fp = NULL;
    int i = 0;

    // Open file for read
    fp = fopen("sample.txt", "r");

    // If fp is 0? really should be comparing this to null, man, not all compilers like this
    // And it's not good practice to have a return in the middle of a function
    if ( fp == null )
    {
        // this gives an error to windows. how dare you
        return 1;
    }
    else
    {
        do
        {
            i = fgetc( fp );
            if ( i!=EOF )
                printf( "%c", i );
        }
        while ( i != EOF );
        fclose( fp );
        return 0;
    }
}

Is this C or C++?

I mean, you could use fscanf. Use spaces a limiters.
Once you got that, throw the string into your array of strings.

I have absolutely no idea if these work, but they will give you an idea on how to approach the problem.
/* add_word bla bla
* returns 1 on added, 0 on dupes
* note: array 'words' must have a null entry as the last one. like a string.
* note: words must have been created with malloc, or there will be memory error
* note: if words is null, disregard previous note
*/
int add_word ( char *** words, char * word )
{
/* Local Vars */
int i = 0;
int words_size = 0;
int can_add = 1;
char ** new_words = NULL;

// Find size of words
while (( (*words) != null )&&( (*words)[words_size] != NULL )) // short circuit!
{
words_size += 1;
}

// check if word is unique
for ( i = 0; ( i < words_size )&&( can_add ); i += 1 )
{
if ( strcmp( (*words)[i], word ) == 0 )
{
can_add = 0;
}
}

// Add the word if we can_add the word.
if ( can_add )
{
new_words = malloc( sizeof( char* ) * ( words_size + 2 ) );
for ( i = 0; i < words_size; i += 1 )
{
new_words[i] = (*words)[i];
}
new_words[ words_size ] = word;
new_words[ words_size+1 ] = NULL;

if ( words == NULL )
{
free( words );
}
words = &new_words;

return 1;
}
else
{
return 0;
}
}

C++
/* add_word bla bla
* returns 1 on added, 0 on dupes
* note: array 'words' must have a null entry as the last one. like a string.
*/
int add_word ( std::string ** words, std::string word )
{
int words_size = 0;
bool can_add = true;

// Find size of words
while (( (*words) != null )&&( (*words)[words_size] != NULL )) // short circuit!
{
words_size += 1;
}

// check if word is unique
for ( i = 0; ( i < words_size )&&( can_add ); i += 1 )
{
if ( (*words)[i].compare( word ) == 0 )
{
can_add = false;
}
}

// Add the word
if ( can_add )
{
std::string * new_words = NULL;
new_words = new (std::string*) [words_size + 2];
for ( i = 0; i < words_size; i += 1 )
{
new_words[i] = (*words)[i];
}
new_words[ words_size ] = word;
new_words[ words_size+1 ] = NULL;

if ( words == NULL )
{
delete words;
}
words = &new_words;

return 1;
}
else
{
return 0;
}
}

Now, I'll say again, I'm not sure these work - actually I don't think they do looking at them again, I'm writing this while doing my physics homework, phuck mastering physics, but it should give you an idea.

Which is why I'm asking for some help.

Honestly, everything that I've looked at so far is extremely simple, which is my major problem.

Edit: Okay. So, like the only complicated part are the state laws dealing with evictin' people. And it's pretty much the same as I thought. The sample lease contracts are pretty much all I expect.
