idk guys, play games like Etrian Oydessy and you'll see what the TC is probably getting at. The real "design" focus is probably the battles in which you cannot cookie cutter your way through. I am not a roguelike fan and probably never will be. But I can see why people love that stuff.
I must say your style looks a lot better in VX. Maybe it's because there isn't a whole lot of easy-resources for VX to mix and clash, but idk it just looks better.

Well, there is another game that uses this graphical style, Demon Tower by Craze. That game inspired me to create an RM2k3 styled VX game. I'm hoping you'll all feel nostalgic playing it, harkening back to the "old days" and I'm glad to see I've been succesful.
