Nah I'm not trying to be insulting, his song was good but that IS exactly what it sounded like and it was louder than all the other songs it was an assault to my frail senses. My fave on here was jamie's even though it was short cause I really like that keyboard sound he uses a lot. Jamie I want you to make an instrumental cd of that kind of stuff i can put on loop while i work

To me it wasn't loud in a good way. It was indeed an assault. And not in the least radio friendly. No offense meant, it's just that Atari's productions vary so much in audio quality it's astonishing. It could just as well be that ATARI is a song writing collective with 5 different individuals that sound the same but produce material in different ways.

Atari I thought your post about compressed for radio was really funny till I heard your song, now I think you did that

Eeh. I'm just gonna shut up about this.

1. Baconshield - Robot Judge vs. Tim Balls (2:58)  -  Sorry JMickle! I don't know what I was thinking.
2. Jamie Sime - This Is The Spirite Of A Big Green Rat (1:32) - Great instrumental track. I only wish it would be longer and have a "proper" ending :) Very easy on the ears. Love it!
3. Puppet Master - The Ballad Of Tim Balls (3:11) -  Well played, well sung, just spot on!
4. Pink - Routine (1:12) - Why so shoooort?! More effect on the drums otherwise a good instrumental track.
5. Bumblebee man - The New Inmate (Skit) (0:32) - I'm transported to a 80-90s PC adventure game in a prison environment that never was made. It's a good thing :D
6. Nathaniel Tann - Again (3:33) - WHoooaaa, easily the LOUDEST track on the album. Hurting my poor ears :( Just lower the levels like, 10db and put it through a Master instead and we got a listenable track :P Also, where's Tim Balls in all this?
7. Baconshield - Live fast die young (1:55) -  Drive-by songwriting.
8. Bumblebee man - Solitary (2:56) -  Scary ambient track. I think that you should scream instead of whispering, it would make more of an effect and probably would hurt your voice less too :) But man...2 hours with that on loop in a dark room and I wouldn't be the same person...
9. 525 - The Story Of Tim Balls (3:23) -  Yes! You were right! You're the greatest thing that's ever happened to music! Hahaha...well I was amused. Looking forward to more of this :D

It was -25C here yesterday. But I like that better than the heat, so I'm not really complaining.

It's so hard to form an opinion on falcon shield because he'll be cool for a while and then he'll go APESHIT retarded.

hahaha that actually amused me, and no I'm not being sarcastic. I am amused in a sort of sad way.

Let me put it like this: I'm too old to sit and hide behind my screen. In real life, I would never be spontaneously rude or obnoxious to people for no reason. Consequently, I won't do that online either. But when people do that it kinda gets to me in a way.  Yes, yes, now I'm a sitting target...I let the internet get to me, I'm pathetic.

But it's absolutely not what people say/write. It's that they do it. I feel truly sorry for the poor fellow who can't get it up, has family problems, breath smells like shit, never talked to a girl or whatever reason that compels him/her to act like that.

And to an extent that people don't care any more. It's like the unwritten rule of the internet. Actually it might be written down somewhere.

So, go on with the insults please...

are you 12?

...years older than you? Probably, yes.

I wish I could say that I pity you but this is the internet and no one cares about anything here.

get the fuck out and ban everyone who says anything like this again

And who are you?

Oh yeah, the little whiny bitch that has Lady Gaga for an Avatar. So you like lady gaga? Now THAT is a piece of smelly dogshit. I've never heard such bland, uninspired, braindead excuse for music in my entire life. It's actually a good comparison because Nick Jonas is inspiring compared to that shitfest. I'll make her Lady GAG on my fucking dick! What an idiot...

It's nice, neat, well-produced pop. But sincere? I think not...  Sincere and "real" artists that really sing from the bottom of their hearts are scarce. This is far to tidy to move me.

Edit: But is he a good singer? yes.

I swear this is the fucking hardest game in the world...

That's exactly what I said yesterday when I played this. I used to play Street Fighter 2 turbo when I was younger and I was kinda good at that. But this...wtf is this?! I promise I spent like 45 minutes trying to beat Seth. On the Easy setting!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GAME?! How can something be so fucking hard on EASY!?

Easily top 5 most frustrating gaming moments for me.

I think I have reached the point today where GW has gone past the point of no return for me. We need sensible mods or a greater admin presence. Yeah I know I don't exactly post poetry myself either but this place needs to turn around.

man falcon youre words, believe it or not sort of inspired me. Im in a much similar position as nemesis29's friend. I am 21 years old, but instead of MechEng, I am (was) taking Chem Eng. I had one more yr to go but I dropped out a few months back because of lack of money (couldnt even pay for the semester i was enrolled in lol). Right now looking for a full time job and as well I'm just making music and seeing where I can go with that. I dont like chem eng, but I dont hate it either. its one of those things I'd consider "work" I guess. I'm going to keep making music and get better at the shit i do. Hopefully one day I can be in your shoes. and if not, hell it was a fun ride along the way

I'm glad :) However, having a back-up plan is wise.

If you're pursuing a career in music you will have to niche yourself. I chose game music, so that's basically all I do. Sound Design comes unavoidably with the job, which is something I CAN do but I'd rather focus my efforts on the music alone. But it's all good, I've got nothing to complain about. However I'm in the meantime slowly working my way up to become a pop/rock -producer as well :) Let's see how that'll work out hehehe...

I wasn't saying that in a negative fashion, guys. Geez. So much trolling goes on here that people automatically assume I was being sarcastic. Also I reached puberty ages ago and I still don't have hair so ha.

Oh so you liked the fact that I was really hairy :P Well me too, as long as it doesn't grow on my back(which it for the record does not) hehehe...

Like you said...he's 21 years old. He's very young so what's the worst thing that could happen?! The worst possible thing that could happen is him failing, having to move back, right? I mean... it would be a rewarding experience no less.

When I was 21, I was accepted into a Music Production Program and during that time I realized that I wanted to make a living out of this. So I spent the following 2-3 years(after graduating) building portfolio but working in healthcare(a job that puts food on the table but it's really, really not for me). But I never stopped working pro bono with different projects, making my music and getting more and more experience.
Now I'm 27 and I run my own company. I can pay the rent and get by on my music-jobs alone, although that wouldn't be glamorous(yet  :naughty: ), so I'm lucky I have a wife that's a full time worker :)  But the more I work, the more work I get, so it's just getting better.

But, my point is, work-wise - I could not be more happy. I never ever regret for even a second that I chose to pursue my dream. And it's better to pursue it and failing than never have tried and be bitter about it. So you should support your friend, not hold him back, although sometimes those are the same :)

I would personally never go, so I guess I can understand the way you feel. Only difference that I would not let anyone talk me into it.
