Ok, so I was watching a trailer for the latest Halloween film and I was wondering, is there a film, like Halloween or Friday the 13th where it starts out the same but as the killer does his thing it switches and the hunter becomes the hunted?

General Talk Trying to remember somthing

Right, so I'm asking you lot as I can't recall something and it's bugging me like hell not to be able to remember. So, here's what I've got:

It's either an novel or a role playing game (like dnd)
it's set in hell
Demons are apart of houses
The houses are in conflict
The demons drink essence (which has something to do with human souls)
I think one of the houses is called 'lysander' or something like that
One of the locations are mountains, or a ring of mountains (I know, generic but I think it's a very prominent location)
There is magic (again, generic as hell, i know)
The houses fight over territory including forts (in the mountains)

I think that's all, if I remember anything more I'll add it.

P.S. I don't deny that this could be just something I randomly thought up and for some reason I think it's an actual novel/rpg.

GPU: Gigabyte gtx 750 TI windforce OC
CPU: Intel Pentium K Anniversary G3258
RAM: Team Group Elite Black 8BG 1600MHz
MOBO: Gigabyte B85M-D2V
PSU: BeQuite SFX Power 2 400W
Case: Aerocool Qs-102

comes to around £360 (including shipping)

Ok, so I set origin to download titanfall over today, I fully expected it to be like, 10% or 20% done by the time I got home since my internet is about 5.8mb/s (the highest download speed I get is 500 - 600kb, rarely 700kb), I was suprised to see that it was done.
How can origin download a 56GB game in just over 12 hours on a 5.8mb/s internet connection?

Why is Obama getting sued/impeached? I can't actually find the reason, I Can find lots and Lots about the fact he's getting impeached, what it would mean, the fact that obama wants impeachment, etc but nothing on the why.

So yeah, WHY is obama being impeached?

Is it possible to design a game in VX or XP that's 100% procedural? that is to say, the maps, the quests, the characters, etc all dynamicly generated to generate a coherent storyline?

My other thought is I have an idea for a board game I Was thinking of implementing online, it's kinda like, settlers of catan but instead you build an organized crime empire in a city, would it be possible to use XP or VX (with the help of some ruby) to make a PC based client that can connect via an API? I realise it would be kinda pointless but mostly as just as a 'do it because i want to see if it's possible' kind of thing

Basicly, I saw this and I'm wondering it It's worth it, what do you think? I'm genuinely tempted (especially now that i'm more capable with ruby programming) but at the same time I don't know if I will ever make any real use of it.

1) why do video players lie? I.E., they say they've downloaded so much, but it has to buffer before it's reached that point, why would it have to buffer when the streaming bar show's it having downloaded further then that part it stopped at?

2) why do video player's have a heart attack when you decide to skip ahead? no seriously, I click ahead because I've seen this bit and want to watch like, I don't know 30 mins ahead and they player just.... sits there doing nothing, OR they player refuses to skip ahead and just plays the latest downloaded part?

I have this router made by ZyXEL and it's model number is: AMG1302-T10A.

It freaquently lies to me, the router status page show it's connected at some speed (between 4mbp to just over 6mbs) yet sometimes when I try to access the internet, it goes "DSL is down" and other programs and games can't connect despite it showing itself as connected. I do some diagnostics yet the DSL says it's up and the ATM diagnostics also show it's up.

So tell me, why is my router lying to me?

Also a question, why do web players lie? They show as having buffered x amount in the player bar, but it hasn't reached that point and it suddenly needs to buffer?

So, on top of my two above questions (the router one being the priority) do any of you have an exerpience with being lied to by technology?

I was thinking of using Ruby on rails to make a sort of MO text adventure/choose you're path styled game, not sure how I'd do it but
A) would you play it
b) any suggestions?
C) or is this a horrible idea?
