I'm a transperson, a transwoman to be exact, i have decided to start a thread where you can ask a question and or any other transperson on the site (if there are any) can answer. I started this thread becuase i thought it might be a good idea to clear up any misconceptions or to answer any questions any curios person might have, it took life from the current (as of the thread start date) topic of the week.

I have a question concernting character development.
What i want to know is what is the best way to point towards an event that will bring about an ephiany or almost a compete change of character without being to obvious; that is to say to be so subtle that you won't realise it untill the event has happend then the reader is like, OH SNAP! now that i think about it didn't this that and the other point towards this?
I supose what i'm looking for is what kind of writting technqiue would be best for this kind of effect.
For example, we have a character who on the outside is evil, but untill the revelation that he is actualy a good guy, there are very stuble hints that point to this, what's the best way to achive this?

God, i hate shitty customer service, i understand that many in the CS industry work long hours for shitty pay, but that doesn't excuse them for being either patronising or insulting. Most of the time they have these shity boilerplate replies that often cause it to take longer to get the help you want or often no help at all; i get that those replies are suposed to speed things up but do they have to be written in such a condecending manor(sp?).
My steam acount was randomly disabled, so whent through there process to get it re-activated and changed the pass.
During which i asked no less then three times why it was disabled, it wasn't untill i asked a second time did they answer; said answer made me ask again, why it was disabled, please note said answer

How agrivatingly precise but completly vauge, it tells us as exactly as possible that the reason why it was shut down was becuase of a security issue, it's vauge becuase it doesn't tell me what kind. I would very much like to know what kind of security issue it was so i can make some attempt at not letting it happen again.

SO what are your memories when dealining with poor CS in the past?

p.s. please note, i said poor CS, i'm not saying all CS is bad, so far i have yet to see better CS then that from the CS team of EVE online.

I had a go at a demo model, they only had one VR card and some basic pre-loaded software, that said the effect is really good and it actually works but it does for lack of a better description feels heavy on the eyes when you watch it, the analouge nub thing is.. well actually it's all perfectly positioned except for one thing, the nub is used for camera control, so unless you can move thumb fast, your not going to be able to move your character AND your camera. Not sure what else to say, so ask if and if i can reply i'll do so.

Seriosly, i'm super phsycked for the game, SKYRIM! I CAN'T WAIT and those bastards released a trailer almost a year in advanced, meaning the waiting will be that much harder

 The thing's i'm most looking forward to? in order of how much i want it:

• Radiant Story (simply put a story that dynamically changes depending on your interactions with the world)
• better engine (in other words, it will all play/look better
• Music,  (IMHO, music can make or break a game)

It made me buy ES4 GOTY >_< (well actualy i was wanting to get the expansion any way, and since i can't find my copy of oblivion, i thought why not get it all in one shot), currently playing as a ninja (custom class) and doing the Nights of the nine DLC;
also, did you know you can get a pretty nice sword RIGHT off the bat? go the floating bloat, buy a bed for the night and sleep there, finish the quest and one of the enemies drops a nice sword.
That said, my god is the crusader armour helmet sucky looking, but it comes with a free lesser power, great if your getting atacked by somthing, just it to calm them.

what else... oh yeah downloaded a ton of graphics enhancing mods, one which adds motion blur, the game looks a lot better for it and also unique landscapes, i decided not to download any mod that adds content, and only ones that make the gameplay/run/look better since i never usualy get past the main content for it so i'm just gonna play the main content for this game, then maybe afterwoulds i'll download some others.

On another note it took me a while to get it running properly, first i forgot a requisit OBSE plugin to get a shader mod working, then it wouldn'r work at all, in the end i found out how to fix it.

IF you get a black screen when trying to play oblivion it's cos you got HDR on and somthing's a miss,  look at the render file in your save game directory and it will probebly tell you that your card doesn't do SM 3.0 well there is a way around this, look at what render package it's using (usually last line) go to the shader directory in the data folder and switch what ever shader package it mentioned to number 19, then HDR should work

I've thinking of downloading a linux distro (after looking through them of course) and instaling as a dualboot but tbh i've been wondering what would be the point so i'm wondering, what's the use and or advantage of using linux over windows 7?

Right, my boot up has become quite slow so i want to know, is there a program/utility that can track what makes boot up take so long? i have an idea as to what program it could be but i want more info on it.

Yeah for example, we brits can't watch Hulu, but i can, it works and it's free. Go Google "Hotspot shield" and download it, with that turned on you can access content that would normally be blocked. Hell i'm watching team knightrider on Hulu as i write this, so yeah it works.

Right. i just moved to my uni accomdation, got comp all up and running, i run crysis to get some game time in and it's lagging like dead horse. Thing is before i left for uni it ran Perfectly fine on the highest of settings, now it stutters like reginald barkly. what could be doing it?

i know the GPU is getting full power since the PSU is a single rail 50v, and i whilst i was slightly overclocking it i set it back to factory defualts and nadda. so what could it be to make a game go from fine one moment and then crappy the next?

RIght, i have spiffy laptop with a really good touchscreen (though i really need to get around to calibrating it properly) however, in photoshop it keeps doing somthing that makes it VERY hard to draw. when i press on the screen and move, instead of drawing a line, the whole thing scrolls around, how do i stop it from scrolling like that? i'ts very anoying and makes drawing anything zoomed in VERY difficult.

What i want to know is at the moment, who is ahead? i mean taking into acount basic performance and motherboard things like SATA 3 and USB 3, i'm asking becuase i've tried looking for some quick look up info and i can't really find what i want to know. Soooo ill ask here.

is it worth getting an i7 or the amd equivlent phenom CPUs or whatever they have.
i'm asking becasue the mobo is dependent on what cpu i go for (and to some degree so is the GPU)

i'm thinking AMD becuase aparrantly intel  mobo's doesn't suppourt SATA 3 and USB3, or at least not propperly.

When supreme commander 1 came out, i got it and thought it would be fun and great and... it wasn't, it was OK but it got real boring quite fast (it was fun the first few missions).
so because of that i was a little sceptical about weather number 2 would be any better so when i saw they had a demo for it on steam i downloaded and played it. First of all, it runs so much smoother then number one; secondly detailing is just so much better and environment has more in it, one thing i noticed about number one was that the maps were kind of sparse in what there was, its was either mountains, water or trees, and that's it; number two is far better in that regard.
Lastly it was just more fun to play, the second mission (in the demo) was pretty good; i won't spoil it but it was fun to play and the game overall flows better and it's easier to get to grips with.

all in all number two is actually an improvement on number one.

right, i have a project, i have to make Conway's game of life into an actual game, the thing is i'm not sure how to go about converting the rules into a number driven algorithm that can drive the basic mechanics of the game, so i thought i'd ask here if some one knew how to go about doing it? Just to be clear, i'm not asking you to tell me what to do, i'm asking how to go about doing it.

Right, I'm kind of wanting to watch some films but i don't want to have to sift through tons of websites to find list's of films that may or may not be good. So any interesting ideas? as long as it's good I'm in, anything goes... well except slasher/torcher films (aka, scream,saw,hostel,etc).

what i'm asking is if there a program that can run as a go between between an application and the internet so that it think's its connecting on one set of ports but the programm can alter it, so a program that needs ports say 7342 and 7499 which are blocked can then be switched to say 7234 and 747 which arn't but the program doesn't realise this and act's normal?

about over a week ago just moved into university acomadations, and lo and behold, NO internet game works, i can browse the web... and thats it. Steam games don't connect, Aion won't connect, LOTRO won't connect. So i figured i need a proxy program, but i'm not sure what i need or if thats really the answer, so can someone please point me in the right direction? and fast?

I have two question to do with hair.

1. My hair is a really dark brown, so brown is practically black. I tried to dye it yesterday, a bright red, right now, the part that i dyed is a sort of auburn. The question is:
if i use the same hair dye over the previously dyed part, will it go the bright red i originally intended or will i have to use some bleach and make it lighter and then dye it?

2. my hair has a tendency to get really frizzy after it dries from being wet, whats the best way to get rid of it quickly? because so far the best i got is to wait till the next day and then use straighteners on it at high heat.

right there they are, could some one with some hairy know how please answer?
