Greetings.

Phucker in the Woods is our first attempt at a visual novel, therefore, it's not like a lot of visual novels. In fact, we don't play visual novels. So making this game was probably a bad idea. Feast your eyes upon...

https://gzstorm.itch.io/phucker-in-the-woods-0]Phucker in the Woods: Vol 0 on itch.io[/url]

But what IS Phucker in the Woods? Take a look for yourself.

As it's known in Bulgaria: ROPN: Checko a Ropata!

Meet the cast using the ground breaking "profile" section

Or why not check out the trailer?

Not convinced? Then... Don't play the game I guess. Instead check out Mimi Nekop Princess Kingdom Deleuxe on Proud Gamers. There's a 66% off sale.

Hope that helps.

Greet's.

Here is a game I'm working on. The goal is to smash every "notable" game I've made into one and play them through Warlock Bentspine gameplay. Here is a screenshot:

Download (updated 24.04.2014):

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4809065/Bentspinox_24_04_2014.7z

Controls:

Arrows - - - move and aim
X - - - action
C - - - Jump
S n D - - - swap weapon set
Space - - - swap weapon upgrade
Enter - - - restart game

TEMP KEYS:
F1 and F2, sound volume
+ and -, music volume

Weapons:

Fireball
- Charged shot, when not firing you charge up toa more powerful attack, same as in WB1
- Triple shot, you fire 3 less effective fireballs, covering more ground
- Rapid fire, fires a lot of projectiles fast

Arcane
- Stream, fires a stream of green shit, not used for combat really but to find and activate secrets and such
- Dash, this is the idea of fusing Poyo gameplay into this game since some people told me they actually liked poyo
- Mask, a helpoer mask, not very good right now but the idea is that you can have many spell effects active at once, also each mask is going to have a seperate attack

Mechanic
- Hookshot, you can hookshot to certain objects, none found in the demo afaik, sorry
- Punching glove, punch things, break things, stun things, use to bounce off surfaces
- ???

Frost
- Stream, stream of frost
- Blizzard, screenwide attack, deals minor damage but adds freezing stacks to enemies who are susceptiplece(?) to it
- Armor, just your run of the mill shield weapon ripped from megaman

Count Drac
- Bloodguzzle, guzzles blood from nearby enemies who can be guzzled
- Blood arrow, fires an arrow which will inflict a parasite effect on enemies who can be guzzled. Parasite sends health to you, multiple parasites can exists at once
- Count Dracs Shield, shield that blocks projectiles and turns them against the neemy, can also be used to glide if you hold UP.

That is all.

This project is the result of combining Bonkers Sewer Adventure and Banana Nababa 2.

Here is a few vids to showcase what it's like:

Controls are Z X C + space + arrows

You can press B to go directly to the boss in each stage. To get back to the stage selection, simply commit suicide and choose Exit.

Theres 3 stages, none of them are quite complete and have a few dummy rooms each but Toy Factory is the closest to being done, Greenhouse is second and Sewers is last.

The plan is to only have 4 levels from which these 3 must be completed to advance.

Download from:

PS. I hope the music works, I don't think you need the actual Bassmod dll for it to work since afaik they are included in the exe or something like that.

BONKERS SEWER ADVENTURE

So here's a little something I've been cooking up. It's a platformer akin to something like mega man or any capcom run n' gun platformer really. Graphically it's reminiscent of a gameboy color game although I took some liberties with that theme.

Basically you venture around a bunch of sewers, in this demo the pyramid sewers, and you fight monsters, collect treasures and eventually kill a boss, then move on to the next stage.

The stages are connected like a ring, going either left or right long enough will lead you back to where you started. The idea is to get to the other side of the ring to get item X / push a button Z / do some shit Y and then go back to where you started to fight the boss of the stage.

The demo has a work in progress stage with no boss but a good amount of playable rooms and demonstrates how the game will work.

Controls

Move = Arrow keys
Jump = X
Attack = Z / Y
Dash = C / Down+X

The L4D2 Demo is now out for everyone through Steam.

It's a 3+ Gigs download so be prepared, might be even more without any Source games installed.

It is basically a 10 minute campaign with almost nothing that would set it apart from L4D1. The weapons are just recycled and reskinned aside from the magnum/one-shot gun and melee weapons, I've yet to see the infamous incendiary ammo or the grenade launcher after 3 playthroughs so I'm going to assume they are not there.

The new special infected are in the game, but you can't play as any of them or even the old ones so thanks a lot you fags. It seems they also spawn a lot less frequently than the ones that are from L4D1 so you don't even see them more than maybe 3 - 4 times a map unless you dick around and wait for them to spawn. There's one uncommon infected which is the riot police who is invulnerable from the front thanks to his protective gear but to deal with them you just melee + shoot instead of just melee or shoot.

There's one triggered event present in the demo, and that is the press a button --> zombies come endlessly --> shut down alarm --> zombies come no more.

So basically, all this, aside from the 3 new SI, has been available for the past year in the L4D2 beta, also known as L4D1. If you are expecting to see even a glimpse of the new gamemodes or try out anything that is new then too bad, you're gonna have to throw away 40 dollars, wait until 17th and hope that you like the full game.

This demo isn't very demonstrating.

PS. I wasn't very impressed by the demo, just fyi

Hey wassup, just wondering if any of you guys are interested in this or are playing right now, we could get some games going. You can get the DW2 beta from Steam, it's a 5 gig download though so be prepared for some waiting. You also need a MS Live account to play, but it took like 2 minutes to make one so yeah.

For anyone who doesn't care or doesn't know, DW2 is RTS game based on Warhammer 40k where you build and control a set of squads and tanks and battle it out in somewhat differing gamemodes, the beta only has Annihilation and Victory Point modes which revolve around capturing areas of the map in order to get resources faster and/or to win.

It has 4 factions, Space Marines, Orks, Tyrannids and Eldars, which as far as appearances go, are Humans, Orcs, Zerg and Protoss, respectively. The beta apparently does not limit your selection of units and there is a lot of them on each faction so I guess it's true.

I just got this today and my first impressions are that this is a really good game. It's somewhat casual, but not really. It's casual because there is no base building or resource gathering involved and you don't have the most vast armies under your control but not really all that casual because you can develop each squadron in whatever way you like and you need to upgrade armors, weaponry and skills to squads and to your hero unit.

It's a bit on the hefty side as far as trying to run the game goes but I managed to get it to run really well after lowering some settings. But if you have a really old rig you most likely will have a great deal of trouble trying to run this.

From what I played, it was a really good and fun game. Discusz.

So now that it's the holiday season some games that are available through Steam have gone down in price a bit, some more, some less.

I'm just curious if anyone can tell if there's some games here that are like ABSOLUTELY GOOD BARGAIN and shit. I already own TF2, Portal and L4D from there so leave those out.

There's a whole lot of fucking games and I know next to nothing about any of them so if anyone could recommend something then I could go and spend time researching said game(s) to see if I'd like it at all.

Bioshock is for 5€ which seems like a good bargain but I dunno, I never really gave two shits about that game. There's also Doom 1 and Doom 2 for 1 euro each but why would I buy them? I know from skulltag that no one plays them and the single-player is so played through that it doesn't interest me.

I can also tell that I have no interest for World of Goo nor Aquaria.

What is Savage 2? Is it sort of like a mismatch between an RTS and a FPS? It looks good enough and it's just 5 euros.

I noticed that there is actually multiple pages worth of these bargain games but what the fuck man, how can I view them all? Does this include EVERY steam distributed game?

Well anyway there's a Dawn of War collection pack thing which seems pretty rad but man I have no idea if I'll like that so I'll have to look up some further reviews. Talking about RTS games, Multiwinia is there also for 5 euros but I've heard that it has a pretty niche playerbase but I'm going to buy it anyhow because the demo was really fun.

EDIT: Well yes, yes it does apply to all of them. I thought it was just CERTAIN games but it's all of them.

Hi.

Just wondering if anyone here has any sort of interest in Source mapping with Valves own Hammer level editor, or any interest in level editing whatsoever?

Recently I've been tinkering with the Hammer editor trying out all the Source games I possess (Portal, Tf2, Hl2) and even when it's pretty tedious building levels from scratch it's also really fun. I have some past experience with Hammer so maybe it was just easier for me but it's pretty easy getting acquainted with it if you have any common sense on you. It takes it's time offcourse but there's a lot of video tutorials and the hammer editor help wiki or whatever is also pretty great if you can't figure something out.

Personally I'm mostly interested in TF2 mapping because I feel out of all the source games I have it is the most popular one and while Portal is really fun too it's singleplayer and I don't think I have the brains to conjure any complex Portal puzzles.

I really don't plan ahead when I work on dem maps, MAKE-AS-YOU-GO is more like it, but I can't really recommend that to anyone because you'll just build your map into a deadend where you wake up and realize that it comepletely favors some class or team or doesn't offer enough alternative routes, and you'll just end up deleting it in a fit of rage and shame. Been there, done that.

If there are any mapping enthusiasts on GW then I would like this topic to be a sort of SHARE URE TIPS AND TRIX topic with also discussing GOOD level design, maybe even show off your maps if you're working on or have made any. But I dunno, I have no idea if tf2 mapping has some really niche userbase and I think one of the biggest problems is getting your map on a server that has 10+ people playing on it so you could at least know how much it sucks in other peoples opinion. Then again Valve has a habit of including some user made maps in all the big updates so if the map is good enough it'll pull through on it's own.

I know GW has a lot of people who more or less actively play TF2 so maybe you could ask around and get people playing and giving you feedback although I gotta be honest here and say that it would have to be a really fun/good looking map before I'd play it and I'm guessing some people might share this prejudice.

BUT HEY ANYWAYS, BEEN DOING THIS MAP CALLED CP_BESTMAP and as you can guess it's going to be the BESTMAP so here I'll show you a glimpse of what I've managed to make with around 4 days of experience:

It's the blue team spawnroom interior, for 16 people (I reckon it is a bit crowded but I could always make another spawnroom). There's also a few corridors and a bigger open area complete with lighting and texturing but it only took like 1 or 2 hours to make all that.

SO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THIS CLUBHOUSE?!?!?

Multiwinia, the multiplayer sequel to Darwinia by Introversion.
They also made Defcon.

http://www.introversion.co.uk/multiwinia/

So I downloaded the demo a few days ago and it was pretty fun. But from the demo alone it's pretty hard to tell if the full game is really good or just average. The things that really blur my judgement is that my computer specs are really shitty and if there's more than 2 armies the fps drops a lot, and also the demo is pretty vague in telling what more the full game has, aside from different gamemodes.

Iirc Marcus has a huge boner for Darwinia so maybe you've already gotten this game????!?!? Is it good!?!??!?

Also discuss the game I guess.

I thought the graphics could have been a bit more SHARPER because the stick-dudes look blurry and I also thought it looked kinda dumb how the lasers would always move that certain distance, never seeming to hit anything. A bit more motion/animation would've been nice too. It's a really easy game to get into, sort of a casual RTS in that you don't have to build anything or worry about resources. It's a bit too easy against computers on all the difficulty settings but the game is meant to be played on the internets anyway.

I wonder though if anyone has even HEARD of either Darwinia or Multiwinia because they really aren't mainstream games.

Hey whatup

Anyone know any GOOD Hl2 mods? Currently I only have Zombie Panic Source and while it could be a really fun game it's just feels pretty SLUGGISH and has some collision problems and boring maps.

I was looking Zombie Master earlier but I don't know, BETA kinda turns me away, especially after Zombie Panic Source.

So what I'm looking for is some good multiplayer mods (with active userbase), zombie mods are pretty great imo but anything goes pretty much. I've been googling around and have these huge lists of mods but the problem is that I have no idea if they are any good AT ALL and if they have any players playing them. I don't really trust some 4/5 stars review so I'd prefer you guys saying what you think is good and what is not.

EDIT:
DLing Jailbreak right now and I'm going to work now.

I'm stuck. Again. And again. And again. It never ends with this game.

Basically I'm now in a point where I'm missing maybe 4 items, one of them being the Wedge, and the only Guardian still alive is Palenque in chamber of extinction.

I'm pretty certain that the key to my victory is in the Chamber of Birth as I have not been able to access it fully. The gate that allows passage to front/back is locked and I have no idea how to open it. I've talked to 3 sages already but I don't know where the fourth is but could this possible open the path?

The sages I've spoken with are the one in the water area, the one in the tower and the one in the moon pyramid or whatever.

So basically where the fuck do I go? The teleports in chamber of birth don't get me any further I've tried all possible outcomes, the closest one sending me above a trap that drops me back at the start and is unavoidable.

Also where can I get the Medicine of Life?

So for a short while now I've been wondering what was the name of this movie or miniseries (I'm not sure which it was tbh) that ran on this one summer on TV like 7 years ago. It was a medieval fantasy themed as I recall but all the rest is pretty fuzzy. It was either of american or british origin (british sounds more likely to me).

The main characters were some boy, a prince me thinks but I don't remember almost anything about him, and some poor young adult who was also the villain later on. The poor young adult guy was some sorta bakers helper boy and was hated for whatever reasons. I think he poisoned some people and thus advanced from his lowly bakers helper status to something more significant.

There was a scene where the prince was in some desolate place after a girl but the girl was blown to pieces by a thunder.

The villain also fought with some guy in a tower and something exploded sending both of them flying off into a river with half of the villains face burned off, the other guy died. He then wore a 'phantom of the opera'-esque mask on the burned half of his face for the rest of the movie/series.

In the finale the villain and the prince fought in a flooded castle (either it was raining A LOT or it was just flooded some other way). The villain had a slingshot that he used to kill people and if I recall it right the prince stabbed the villain and then all was well again happy ending gg.

I know this is like REALLY vague but this is seriously all the pieces I remember but I remember I liked it a lot so if anyone has any idea if this sounds like anything you've seen or heard before please do tell what this is. Its one of those movies/series that came after midnight so I was usually tired as hell and couldn't really tell all the details afterwards, as can be seen.

I'd figure its based on a book because it was too obscure to be random fantasy movie #21451. Considering the channel it was shown on and the fact that we get everything 10 years later than everyone else I'd say it was made in early 90's.

Hey so I'm wondering if SC2 Zerg has one of those gameplay introduction videos WITH COMMENTARY like they already have with Terran and Protoss.

Like I have seen the Zerg gameplay video but where is the voice commentary? Is there one that has commentary? I thought the Terran and Protoss ones were excellent and interesting to watch but when it comes to Zerg its like Blizzard is holding everything back and they update the sc2 site maybe once per 3 months, while you can just google for zerg and you find all the units/buildings/whatever in 2 seconds although some of the info is most likely just speculation.

Its not like this is a SERIOUS PROBLEM but I would've preferred voice commentary over this silent one where you just need to guess and speculate the mechanics.

So is there one or are they not bothering and whos inpatiently waiting for this game?

I'm fairly new to using DosBox but not all that new at using Dos itself but I'm having some troubles on playing some games on it. Well to be precise I have trouble saving my game states.

I got my hands on Discworld 1 and everything works great you know, mounting drives, starting the game n playing. But I can't write a savefile. No matter how I go about it, it seems there is no file written at all since everytime I look at the load game option there are no saves so yeah.

So how would I make this work? Do I need to define a saving path or something? I did some small amount of researching and it seems DosBox does not have a saving feature BUT I assume it was more like how console emulators have a save state / load state features so thats not really what I need but that would've worked too I guess.

There is no file explorer when you save in Discworld so you cant decide where you wanna save and so the savefile goes to some predefined place but in my case it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Also I'm runnin on Win XP.

ok thanks

So the other day I was reminiscing how once long ago I bought two really well-received games based almost solely on what other people thought about them. I bought We <3 Katamari and it was one of the best games I've bought for the PS2 and as such a very good purchase. I bought it because I had heard great things about it and with some further inspection it seemed like just my type o' game with them crazy looks and crazy gameplay.

Then there was this other much praised game that everyone just raves about and whenever someone mentions it everyone seems to think its the best game ever. I'm talking about Ico for the PS2. Now, I bought this game upon its rerelease in 2006 or whatever for 20 euros after reading some reviews that just seemed to praise it as the best PS2 game yet but I might've aswell shoved the 20 euros up my ass instead.

At first when you start playing it you prolly think oh my this is the most beautiful game i've seen really awesome!!! and it is for the first 2 minutes i guess but then it just starts a downward spiral that never seems to end. Where should I start? Well lets start from the beginning of the game.

It's all great up until the point Yorda or whatever opens the first set of doors. After that there are approx. a total of 5 new gameplay features that are presented to you at regular intervals like pushing blocks, picking up shit, torches and bombs. Then it stops introducing anything new and thats basically it. You push blocks over and over, then climb a rope, turn a switch, kill some shadows, back to the block pushing, yell at yorda to get her ass over there and after less than hour of this the game is already over. I recall beating this in about 1:30 on my first playthrough and then being all WAIT!! THATS IT?!? I made another playthrough just to see if I could beat it in less than an hour and I did but I recall beating it in 50 minutes, but theres a speedrun that is 52 minutes so I'm prolly confusing the 50 minutes with my Zone of the Enders playthrough, another fucking disappointment although not nearly as hyped as Ico (PS I'm pulling those playthrough times out of my ass but it was something like that, honest).

So if I would have to sum up all that I think is wrong with ico it would be like this:

Its a game that has really limited and repetitive gameplay, the game is not really hard but the camera really seems to hate the player when it comes to precise jumps (especially the prison cells near the end of the game), the enemies are limited to 3 or 4 different types of shadows that dont really put up a fight +the camera, all the puzzles are either pushing blocks around or turning switches which is just boring, and you can divide the gameply into pushing blocks and killing the shadows. There is total of 1 boss in the entire game if you dont count the army of shadows that cant even kill you near the end, and besides the boss tune and the savepoint tune there is no music at all, theres hardly one page worth of dialogue and I can't really say that I liked anything else about this game except the beautiful environment.

So I really dont get why this game gets some much praise from EVERYONE. I will admit that its the best looking game for the ps2 I've ever seen but it certainly isn't the best GAME for the ps2, not even close. Bashing Ico out of all the games I could've bashed might piss some people off, yes, but come on now, it really isn't all that good.

But what about you, what games have you bought based on excellent reviews only to discover that its just garbage all around?

so yeah once again Steam amazes me in how gay it is.

I spent a few hours on DLing trackmania nations forever and now I cant run it. When I try to run the game or launch the settings it loads something for like 2 seconds and then its all over, nothing happens.

What am I supposed to do/how do I get this piece of shit to work?

PS. I already tried booting Steam and I have tried to start the game about a million times now but no, offcourse not.

helo recently my Opera browser does not run youtube vids very well.

problem:
after watching one or two vids in youtube, opera refuses to load up any more vids. Nothing just happens. it loads up the pages and all (altho poorly, like some stuff doesn't load up) but not the videos.

now I know it's about opera most likely since IE seems to run all the vids just fine. I've tried clearing the cache and shit but alas no help. Also I haven't changed any settings and haven't updated opera recently so the settings should be same as they were back when it still loaded videos ok.

Help½!.

So uh everyone whos played La Mulana knows it has a pretty solid soundtrack and that it comes with the game in multiple formats, but I'm not very satisfied with the midi versions, so how could I listen to the .sgt versions with Winamp for example?

There's been a few plugins that I've tried but they just dont work/suck ass.

OR option B:

Does anyone have the remix/whatever music pack of La-Mulana? I've seen it being discussed at few sites but all the links to it were already dead. Ghotel and ocremix.org dont feature the soundtrack in any form and google offers dead links.

SO ANY SUGESTONS??????

I'm sure that besides all the manga trash someone also reads some of the western comics, such as this marvelous one about Spider-man, titled Spider-Man.

So who are these guys? All I know is that this page was in the latest Spider-Man that currently follows the Civil War and also they apparently all are some villains taken out of prison to hunt down the secret avengers. I can't regognize single one of them.

The one on the front kinda interests me because he looks a lot like Venom but it can't really be him I guess because
