Purging 1/3 of the sites data and randomly removing public access. 10 years of G&D history (and the other subforums) and everything relevant. I think the site's registration for the blog is down too right now?

You guys hardly gave any warnings for these actions as well.

Oh and your main site (blog lol) is still broken.

Gaming 6 was a major flop, there was never any need to get rid of the old RM site even though it looked as bad as Don Miguels blog.

Good luck with Salt World!

LOL

A 17 page article done by David Grann about an unemployed mechanic, Cameron Todd Willingham, who lost three children, two of them twins, to a house fire around Christmas (1991). After an investigation by the fire inspector it was later deemed that Cameron was the arson who allegedly started the fire. He was later put to death by lethal injection in 2004. Recently however, this conclusion was overturned by forensics. Some specialists even go as far as saying "They were 99% sure that Cameron was innocent". The title of the article is called "Trial By Fire" and the subheading is "Did Texas execute an innocent man?".

I'm under the impression that David brought the whole story to light as he kept up with the whole story, maybe wrong though (I haven't read the whole article). The article in the link is very descriptive and honestly I just feel that Cameron was wronged on so many occasions. He had no real motive, his actions spoke louder then words, the appeal process was often overlooked and updated appeal reports were not even fully reviewed (how can you not even have the time of day to look at an appeal when a MAN'S LIFE IS ON THE LINE?). Texas is one of the few states that actually pay up to $80,000 dollars a year for any person wrongfully excused for timed served and $20,000 dollars for the rest of the victim's life. With that aside, I think it's definitely not enough! Why? Because people who are dead cannot claim any money and most certainly cannot ressurected...

Honestly, even being wrongfully imprisoned for 20 years is too much and money will NEVER make up for lost time. Death sentences however is MUCH worst. Especially when some fucking slapnut is not even taking appeals seriously. Imagine being prosecuted for murdering your own 3 children... His wife also cursed him to death.

Well here is the article and here is a quick video I found.

Disclaimer

I would just like to start off by saying that I did not make this topic to fill my hate jar or to spread hate upon homosexual people. I also understand the audience here and that there are homosexual individuals in our community as well. With that said, I just want to point out some things I noticed about what I've seen in the media regarding homosexuality. It's obviously a sensitive topic and I don't mean to offend anyone but I guess I am just confused...

Maybe you guys can help me understand, no? I want to hear from SUPPORTERS of homosexuality. Let me again tell you where I stand! I have no problems with gay people. I work with gay people, I know gay people in my class, I don't really have gay friends but I still socialize with gay people just about everywhere (I'm sure many people like me anyways). Basically i do not agree with their life style but I let bygones be bygones.

Now, I plan to just post a whole bunch of ideas and you guys can quote me and respond. I just think there is a stigma of going AGAINST gay people means gay bashing! There are some facts that actually back up some claims. I'm really detached emotionally from this subject and I'm really only following my logic. So anyways, here I go!

gonna cut everyone off and say yes I know gays are genetic and vegetarianism isn't but put in something else that people advocate for that would be around anyways. idk, planned parenthood?

First, after many years of intense research, a genetic component to homosexual desires has not been discovered. Twin studies show that identical twins do not consistently have the same sexual orientation. In fact, genetics probably explains very little about homosexual desires. How would a homosexual “gene” be passed on? Homosexuals don’t pass on anything because they don’t reproduce.

Second, the “born-that-way” claim is an argument from design— “since God designed me with these desires, I ought to act on them.” But the people who say this overlook something more obvious— they were also born with a specific gender. This raises the question: Why are you following your desires but not your gender? After all, we’re not sure if your desires were designed or the result of your upbringing, but we are certain that your anatomy is designed. So why not follow your anatomy rather than your desires? Ignoring your desires may be uncomfortable, but ignoring the natural design of your body is often fatal.

Third, even if desires are not a choice, sexual behavior always is. So even if a person honestly believes that he’s been born with homosexual desires, he is certainly capable of controlling his sexual behavior. If you claim that he is not—that sexual behavior is somehow uncontrollable—then you have made the absurd contention that no one can be morally responsible for any sexual crime, including rape, incest, and child molestation.

Fourth, being born a certain way is irrelevant to what the law should be. Laws are concerned with behaviors not desires, and we all have desires we ought not act on. In fact, all of us were born with an “orientation” to bad behavior, but those desires don’t justify the behaviors. For example, if you are born with a genetic predisposition to alcohol, does that mean God wants you to be an alcoholic? If someone has a genetic attraction to children, does that mean God wants you to be a pedophile? (According to pedophiles it does!) What homosexual activist would say that a genetic predisposition to anger justifies gay-bashing? (Born gay? What if the gay basher was born mean?)

Some will say, “But homosexual sex is about love.” One can say that, but what’s loving about sexual activity that creates numerous health problems, increases medical costs to everyone, and reduces the lifespan of homosexuals by 8-20 years? (A homosexual friend of mine fared even worse—he died at age 36 from AIDS.) Yes, I know—people of the same sex love one another. But if the sex act is medically dangerous, the best way to love the other person is not to have sex with him. In fact, most of our loving relationships are non-sexual.

Finally, even if we someday discover a genetic contribution to homosexual desires, that would not mean that the behavior is something the government should endorse. Yet that’s exactly what government-backed same-sex marriage would do--- it would endorse and thus promote the false idea that marriage between a man and a woman is no better for children or society than marriage between same-sex partners.

legally equating the two types of relationships breaks the link between marriage and childbearing which leads to higher illegitimacy and a chain of negative effects that fall like dominoes—illegitimacy leads to poverty, crime, and higher welfare costs which lead to bigger government, higher taxes, and a slower economy. It also will result in homosexuality being imposed against the will of the people in our schools, businesses, and charities as it has in Massachusetts

http://www.massresistance.org/docs/marriage/effects_of_ssm.html

Click on that link if you want. So even if you think there is nothing morally wrong with homosexual behavior, there is every reason to oppose same-sex marriage.

The bottom line is that desires, whatever their source, do not justify behaviors. In fact, there’s a word we use to describe the disciplined restraint of destructive behaviors– it’s called civilization. For any civilization to survive, quite a lot of restraint is going to be necessary.

The push for same-sex marriage does the opposite. Instead of restraining negative behaviors, homosexual activists are asking us not just to tolerate, but to endorse them. For the sake of civilization, we all need to restrain our destructive behaviors. At the very least we should not be demanding that the government endorse them—even if we think we were “born that way.”

This guy is the man!

38 year old Marcus Schrenker, a money manager and investor life gets absolutely ruined. Apparently he made some bad trades and mishandled a lot of investors money (there are a lot of pending cases from investors). I read that his step father died recently, his wife filed for divorce while alleging he was cheating on him. His life was just a mess... So what did he do? He plans his escape... The 007 way of course. Marcus had an amateur piloting license and he kept it handy for special times like these. He rented a plane and took off for a better life. No, that would be too easy. While piloting the plane he made a radio distress signal stating that he lost control of the airplane and was going down. Apparently, a few f16 jets were sent in as well as the U.S Marshall. Typically, in cases like this they would assess the situation and make the call to shoot the plane down if it threaten the lives of civilians. What happen next was pretty shocking. The cockpit door was found open and the plane was completely empty (plane eventually crashed) . Marcus was not in the plane at all. Instead, what he did was jump out of the plane, parachuted down to a marked landing spot and then later walked to a storage facility where he had placed a motorcycle he rented earlier. He then zoomed off with a load of cash and some supplies :shocking:.

The U.S Marshalls, Coast Guards, military jets continued to search for him and they sort of pieced the whole scenario together. They figured out he had jumped and the whole incident was staged. Where was Marcus? He was later found at a camp site where he had slit his wrist by Federal Agents. He muttered the word "die" when he was found.

THIS SHOULD BE A MOVIE GUYS!

Hey, have you've recently purchased something you personally just love and would like to recommend to fellow GW?

Look no further! Post details about what you've recently obtained!

Please try to provide details of the product first before recommending it. Post pictures, info, links, etc and also let us know why you yourself like it and why us GW folks should look out it.

You don't necessarily have to recommend a product but it's what I'm going with here for now. I'm sure you guys can pull some crap out of your hat that I never heard of that might be nice to try out sometime.

Alright, so you go about your normal day and go to all the places you've planned or randomly decided to go to... Then suddenly you end up meeting and chatting up with a girl (or guy) you've talked to before or knew from somewhere else. Now, personally I really don't get that attached to any individual girl in general, I just keeps tabs on a whole bunch of them and categorize them as "Friend", Acquintance, closer friends, or "other" friends girls.

I don't know if it's by chance but the people I end up meeting again some how look a thousand times more attractive and are generally cool in terms of personality. What I noticed recently is that those people I bump heads with seem to have already found a boyfriend, and a lot of times I actually know who they are, which is messed up since I don't live in a small city or anything. For example, I bumped heads with a girl I've seen around and talked to a few times in general at a new work location I switch too. I have no clue how we got so close but we ended up looking like Girl + Boy = FOREVER LOVE which wasn't even my intention and I'm obviously guessing it wasn't hers either. The thing is I never really did too much with her since I happen to know her boyfriend even though we don't talk anymore... Anyways basically shit gets real intense in the sense that I think about this girl more then the other little girls running around the streets and I know I'm making her have doubts about her current relationship... It's like to the point that we're texting each other to go out and shit and she's dropping plans with her man even though she still has feelings for him and doesn't want to hurt him or anything. Like I said, I'm not really a lover boy but I like keeping in contact with a few good ones here and there if you know what I mean, we all turn old sometime lol.

I guess what my question is... Do you find some girls/guys MORE attractive if they are in a relationship, unavailable, interested but still not giving in? I guess I got some messed up interests or something or I'm finding quality girls that just happen to be unavailable.

I pretty much quit my job about a 2 weeks ago and I knew for a fact that I would cease all connections with this girl as well since we just talked to each other a lot because of work location and we went out AFTER work usually. I also find it a waste of time really that I even approached her the way I did without actually going through all the way with anything really aside from huge sparks between each other...

I'm not stupid, I know when a girl is interested and she litterally tries not to look at me directly sometimes and when I turn away she stares at me hard and as long as possible. Whenever we get really close too each other she just constantly adjusts herself and I know she tries to hold herself back which was kind of funny to me at times. A lot of times she goes with the flow when we make physical contact she would constantly try to innocently rub up on me and I just look at her and she'll look straight or away with the damn window wipers crap again. The funniest thing is that she talks a lot to her boyfriend on her cell phone but the minute I pick up my phone she wants to know who it is and wants me to end the call or something. That's the number one piss off move for me so I pretty much put her place when she tries to call me on that one.

She would even wait for me to finish working as well, sometimes 30-45 minutes when I do overtime and she takes a detour to travel longer with me via transit if I'm not driving her (I take my car sometimes). It's fucked up because these types of relationships are the worst, like what am I suppose to think? Is she really down? I also don't want to mess up my boys relationship even though it probablly is now... LOL. I left my job because I wanted to work different hours and I was getting sick of the job as well... She was also getting annoying too of course, I was going to really let her know what's up but I thought I'll just keep her phone #, email, etc and see where things go in the future which I always do with retard dramas like these.

Anyways, there's my rant for the month, I thought I would post it here since I probablly would never approach someone with this sob story in real life.

Again my question is...

Do you find some girls/guys MORE attractive and more alluring if they are in a relationship, unavailable, interested but still giving you the chase?

Time: 7:50pm, Night-Time

About 10 minutes ago, I went to grab a cappuccino at a coffee shop about 2 blocks away from my house. Well, that was my intention at least. I ended up at a police scene. What happen exactly? I was about a block away from the store now and I could litterally see the welcoming bright lights of the coffee shop ahead.

Anyways as I was walking I noticed some old guy who look like he was about 50-55 years old walking on the sidewalk parallel to the sidewalk I was on. He paused, for a moment and looked the opposite way. I really don't know why I stop looking at the bright heavenly light of the coffee shop but I kept starring at him regardless. After a few seconds I saw him bending a little bit. Now I thought to myself, what the hell is this man doing? Yeah, you probably guessed it by now. The man litterally jumped in front of a car! The front of the car hit him and he sort of rolled onto the hood. He ended up laying on the car in a snow angel like position with his head/body horizontal to the hood of the car.

The sound of the car hitting him was pretty shocking. I just starred helplessly but I wasn't shaken up at all. For some reason, things of this nature does not scare me. The lady was completely distraught though and looked as if she had just lost a child in an accident. I think I managed to take one last look at the coffee shop before I headed her way =). There were about 15 cars around with drivers and passengers inside that were just watching the lady walk around aimlessly in the streets. There were quite a few pedestrians too as well that weren't very helpful at all...

I honestly didn't even think twice about helping the lady out. My mind was sort of just blank a bit. I ended up walking over to her to inform her that I was in the process of calling 911. I called 911 and explained the situation. The emergency service lady I was talking to was f-ing annoying, seriously. She asked the most irreverent questions ever but I guess it was just a tactic to keep me on the phone. The shirt of the man was rolled up leaving his stomach exposed and I could see that he was really breathing heavily. His breathing suddenly changed, he started to breathe really really fast! I kept the person on the phone updated with what was going on. I forgot to mention that I was really close to the injured man at this point. This is the part that freaked the shit out of me. This man's eyes were completely rolled back in his head and he clearly looked like he was unconscious. While I was talking to the emergency service person on the phone... The old man suddenly jumped up with his arms remaining horizontal as he rose like he was being raised up by a rope. He basically just sat there starring at the sky for a few moments. I was a little on edge myself since he sprung up so spontaneously. It looked like he was possessed or something. The old man then rolled off the car and walked away like nothing happened!

At this point I was honestly going to walk away as well. I then realized that the man might have just been in shock and still needed medical attention. A cruiser came howling by and stopped where I was (I guess he saw me on the cell phone?). I never noticed, but the Italian lady (the driver who hit the old man) took off...  Lmao... Wow.

Another cruiser found the man old man a couple of blocks down. The officer who was with me drove me to where the old man was. I had to sit in the back seat which made me laugh a little (Mcloving anyone?). I was informed that this man had some serious mental issues and he was also suicidal. No statement was necessary apparently. The officer asked me if I needed a ride anywhere and I said take me to the coffee shop, he smiled at me and said I was heading there myself... I looked at him and said... I know...

I won't be able to come here for a bit as I've become far to busy lately with school. I just got hired so that means school + work schedule again. If you want to contact me just pm me here, I prefer emails though (check my profile).

I won't lie, I'm actually getting quite bored of gamingw as well. It isn't anyone's fault in particular, it's just that this site just isn't as fun as it used to be for me. There really isn't nothing left for me to enjoy here. I know I'll come back eventually so I won't give the classical "I'll be gone forever" speech.

I've also gotten really sick of rpg making too. It's to the point where I can't find myself interested enough to work on something for more then a half hour. That, and my team mates aren't really responsive. It makes it harder to get anything done.

I also noticed there are a lot more fucking shit talkers who basically do nothing but a lot of trolling. I'm sure half those people are fucking losers in real life though so I won't comment any further about them (seeing them in the picture thread just makes even clearer how pointless it would be to argue). I was never really involved in gamingw aside from a few discussions and a bit game making. Although I never really talk to people on MSN and all, I can still safely say there are quite a few chilling people I've met that seem pretty cool.

Anyways, just holla at my email or something if you really need me. I'll update you guys sometime soon with some updates when I can.

Peace out

Post personal videos here. Same rules as the picture thread applies here, just replace pictures with video instead :fogetcool:.

Think of this topic as Gamingtube! I doubt it will be as popular as the picture thread though.

I know there were hair toics before but I didn't see any of them refering to style of hair (I just saw colours, and other crap). So how do you style your hair?

Usually I don't give pay to much attention on how to style it because I already have a few styles to choose from. Here are some of the styles I can do:

Tame looking Curls:

Think Bobby Valentino, with longer hair.

My favourite if my hair is long. There's two ways I can do it. The short way is just to apply a little water in in my hair and add a LITTLE gel and shake up my hair a bit. I only recently starting using a very small amount of gel because I always thought it was just damn gay..

The longer way is me combing my completely out into an afro and then taking a shower with a good shampoo or conditioner and then adding a little of that gay gel.

Braids:

I'm not a big fan of braids because I hate the idea of my hair being tied down. Some of my hair girls (what I call them :D) that do my hair use their nails to make the tightest mother fucking braids in the world too. I never keep these ones f though and always made the girl start again. The braids in general look pretty cool and there is so many different ways of doing them so I can't complain. Plus you really don't have to worry about your hair at all for a little bit. I still take showers and wash my hair, surprisingly my braids still stay.

Tie back my hair:

I just comb out my hair and then use pretty much anything that can tie my hair back. I usually just use a piece of black string or yarn or something. Some of my outfits can't be worn effectively without my hair being tied back D:. I guess an example would be Shikimaru from naruto - but without the pony tail so high up (I hate that).

Haircut:

When I do cut my hair I basically just get a nice little line up and keep it low (but still black) or get a nice little fade. I didn't cut my hair for like 8 months though now. I like my selections with my hair long :D.

Locks:

Not really locks, someone just braids my hair vertically and then let it hang. This lasts for ages and I really don't need to take of it other then keeping it clean. I do this every so often, it looks nice.

Afro:

The only time my hair is completely combed out is when I'm in my house at night time, feels really comfortable (or before I do something to it). Today was the only time in months I ever went outside with my hair completely combed out though. I got to admit it looks fucking cool, especially when I throw on my favourite shades, which are $600 Ray-Banes some girl gave me.

The whole thing looks like a Lenny Kravitz look too which is pretty damn cool ya know :fogetcool:. It's funny people think I'm brazillian when I comb or curl my hair, weird XD. I can't complain because I know some spanish and it helps when I see some NIICE latin gals. I'm going to whip out this style more often from now on!

Holy shit this topic got long fast. I didn't mean to make it this long sorry.

So what about you guys?

A little note about why I started this topic and what I plan to do for the future. It's a pretty good read too.

                                                                       Selena Quintanilla

                                                              April 16, 1971 - March 31, 1995 (23)

Anyways I had an urge to listen to some Selena again. I'm almost certain that there would be very few objections to me calling Selena one of the "Greats''. She had a HUGE influence, and popularized Tejano music (A style of conjunto music originating in southern Texas and combining influences from country music, rhythm and blues, and popular Latin styles).

And man... This girl is so talented in so many ways! I was always the biggest fan of Selena. When ever I hear any of her songs I get a rush of emotions man. The funny thing, I don't know any other singer that can make me feel this way either... Not as much as her at least. Not only can she sing but she can dance, is gorgeous (I always love hispanic girls), and her personality is infinite times better then a lot of modern day singers! She also did well in keeping her physique and body in shape!

If you look at all her pictures/videos/interviews... You'll see that she is probablly one of the nicest and out-going person around. Seriously, I'm not just saying that because I'm a huge fan either. Infact, it was her kindness that played a part in her own death as well... I really hate talking about how she died, it just makes me so angry and sad. I do acknowledge that when it's your time to die, it's your time to die and all though :S.

Information:

I can't really out due the wiki on her so I won't try. It also explains how she died as well.

Selena did most of her songs in her native tongue, spanish. She really wanted to break into the American industry as well. She definately did too, unfortunately she died before making too many songs. There are a lot of English songs she did but it would never be enough imo :(.

The saddest part is that she could have totally owned both the American Billboards and the Mexican (or Latin) billboards. If anything, I just wanted to see how far she would go and what she would have done/be doing now 12 years later (2007).

Here are the Videos!

Is It The Beat:

Very low quality version, hard to hear. You should watch the video below (no Selena in it though)

AMV sort of thing, it's really cool. This is one of my FAVOURITE Selena songs. It's the English version of "Enamorada De Ti"

Spanish Songs:

Enamorada De Ti: (Is It The Beat, in english)

YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS Selena is such an awesome dancer too, so hyper :D.
