seriously, is on some other shit. this mixtape, house of balloons, is unreal. if you can stand or appreciate r&b on any level then you need to hear this asap. i dont know what it is but the atmosphere in this album... at it's best it's dark, it's haunting, its fucking captivating to me. and it's something i bet most of you have missed. the strength of the album really lies in the production but this guys voice is seriously ligit.

some stretches do drag but there pretty much all the songs are great

how do you guys feel about texas congressman ron paul? ive got to do more research on the guy, but he seems somewhat attractive as a candidate. at the very least he's a genuine, consistent candidate, offering a lot of things you can't find anywhere else in the 2012 field.

on the other hand, some of his ideas are downright whacky. he favors reverting to the gold standard, is totally isolationist (which is a great thing to a certain extent), and favors abolishing the income tax. really? the income tax? even the rightest of right wingers aren't trying to destroy the income tax completely.

he'd probably destroy medicare and medicaid too. and welfare.

ok nevermind after thinking about it he is a bad option but at least he isn't taking phat corporate kickbacks like the rest of em but i wrote this out so ima post it anyway

who are you supporting america politics 2012? anarchist? green party? repooplican? change(obama)?

vote for beasley 2012

so me and my buddies have been throwing around the idea of going on a backpacking trip through europe this summer. was wondering if anyone around here has had similar experiences/has any helpful tips about going on such a trip...

Mainly i'm trying to figure out expenses. I figure 1000 for round trip flight if I buy early. from there I'm thinking that the eurorail pass is going to be my best bet as far as intercountry transport. I can sleep on the trains, they're reliable, etc. Anyone have any better ideas?

Food and lodging is where i'll be able to save the most moneys i'm thinking. Probably just doing the hostel thing, with some camping maybe, which after a little research doesn't sound like too terrible an option. Apparently most major Euro cities have some sort of camping within the city limits... But not too sure. This area in particular I would like to hear of some past experiences if you guys have done anything like this. In addition we know some people in various countries... When in the UK we will have free lodging, i think possibly france too? So that should help save some cash as well.

And food. I will be eating SO POOR. just the bear minimum. i'm going to also do my best to really cut back on alcohol/drug expenses. Probably go to a club or two but really try to limit the nights im consuming substances.... Also probably a hooker in Amsterdam

so. any advice? this was posted HASTILY so please forgive that but i think yall get da jist

So, nine days from today i'll finally be moving into my new residence in Boulder, Colorado. CU Boulder that is! ho ho ho

For those that haven't been, it's a massive school boasting a daunting 30,000 students. I'm not so psyched about the massive class size, but the campus is really beautiful and it's literally a five minute walk from flat irons state park. All in all, should be a really good place to start working on a degree, and I'm really really really fuckin excited to go.

anyway, i've got all the usual shit ready to go; linens, clothes, computer, some storage. But I'm sure there's some things I could bring that I'm not thinking of, and thats where GW comes in! Help good 'ol Beasley move in and get his freshman year off to a smooth start with some items he might not consider bringing and just in general some tips to survive/improve living at uni

also for those of you like me going off to school in the fall feel free to use this as a platform to ask questions about going off to college/brag about the ivy league you're going to/fuck if i know about college here!

So, this upcoming Thursday I will be departing, with the family, to Italy on a three week trip. We have a one day lay over in London, and from there it's straight to Sorrento, which is in Southern Italy. From there we'll be checking out the Amalfi coast and other spots in surrounding area. During this leg of the trip, we may fly up to Venice just for a day, me and my mom (really hoping we do this.)

Next, to Rome. Our apartment is extremely close to the colliseum (15-30 second walk?) and I've been told that's a p. great place to be staying. This is where we're spending the rest of the trip.

so anyways.

if any of you guys have been to italy (i know there are some of you out there) i'd really appreciate any tips on cool shit we could easily miss, how to avoid lines in the vatican (example), or pretty much anything else to make my trip a success! also just any general advice on travelling abroad would be cool as this is my first time overseas so i guess im not totally sure what to expect??

welp i hope i have been clear i'm a little foggy from the night before so this topic could be a lil incoherent. regardless, any advice is much appreciated, and if anyone else is leaving the country and is curious like me, feel free to use this topic to ask other members about their trips.

thx guys

hey guys lets post our news sources!

2 reasons for this topic:

a) research for a paper! so if you all contribute then even greater success!

b) that one guy that always pops up in news topics to say "do not understand...... plz explain..." if he knows where we get our information, then he won't really have an excuse for this kind of shit!

So as of late my computer has been having this problem more and more. In the middle of use, it will suddenly restart, flashing a blue screen and then restarting as normal. Wish I had more information, but that's it. I've scanned for virus' and nothing came up, so I'm not sure what to do! It's getting rather annoying! Any help is much appreciated!

The computer isn't that old (about 3 years) and i'll help with any additional info needed
