This is his latest teaser type thing. I am completely bewildered.

It seems for brief moments it flashes images in some of the frames or something-

For no apparent reason, when I turned on my PC today, this line was sitting on my taskbar-

I know it wasn't there before, and I haven't installed any new software or anything.

So uh, anyone know why it's there? It doesn't bother me to any large degree, but I'm curious.

I am experiencing a rather bizzare problem. Everytime I save a file or folder to the root of my main Hardrive, it will be magically gone as soon as I restart the PC. If I save it into a pre-existing folder on the drive however, it stays. This problem doesn't occur on my external HDDs. Any sage advice on how to fix this bizzare problem?

They just recently ported this awesome old PC game to DS. For those of you who don't know, Jagged Alliance is a tactical RPG that came out in the 90s. In it you take command of a squad of 8 mercenaries, who you handpick, and each one has their own personality, abilities, etc. I won't say too much about it, cause honestly anyone who cares will know all about it anyway. Basically you have to take over an island, which you do by taking each section by force with your mercenaries, and then hire guards to guard the area, and tappers to tap the trees, earning you money from the valuable sap they get out of them. Anyway, the port is really well done, and the game is still incredibly awesome.

Avalon Code is an action RPG boasting incredible graphics, a deep and engrossing story, and innovative game play mechanics. Using the main character’s 'Book of Prophecy', players can modify the rules of engagement during battle as well as weapon and monster attributes. The player even has control over the story as it changes depending on which gender the player chooses to play as, enhancing the ability to immerse themselves into the story.
This game came out a few weeks back for the DS. It has some pretty decent graphics for ds, and is good, if a little basic.
The central gimmic is the "Book of Prophecy", which is an item you can use to modify pretty much everything. Basically, you whack an item/npc/enemy, and they get recorded into the book. You can then fuck around with their atributes, which are represented by a small 3x3 grid containing blocks. An example is near the start of the game. You fight a troll, but it seems to have a lot of health. You whack it with the book, and find it has a "Stone" block in it, causing its health to be much higher. You can take this out, and replace it with a "Sick" block, and it will be a very easy opponent.

I haven't played much of this, but it seems pretty enjoyable, and the book thing is a pretty enjoyable gameplay aspect.

Im looking for some good PC RPGs to play. Im currently playing through Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, and i just played through Fallout 2 for the second time. I've heard great things about Planescape: Torment, considering picking that up. Anyway, suggest me some good PC RPGs please.

(PS: My PC is pretty terrible, the best it can play is TF2, so dont go suggesting really recent games)
EDIT:
Thought it might be worth adding what i have already.
Deus Ex
KotOR 1&2
Fallout 1,2&Tactics
Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines

Theres probably more, but i cant think of em at the moment.

PC SPECS:
Mobility Radeon 9000

My laptop is getting too hot. This is a problem for two reasons- Its uncompfortable considering i have my hands on it, and the more major problem is that when it gets hot enough, it slows down so that it wont overheat. This is annoying because whn im playing games if my laptop is running too hot i will get random slowdown. ANy suggestions on keeping this bastard cool?

Now im wondering, could i burn an ISO of the disk to a cd and then run that to install it? Or will i have to get an actual disk...

I got some form of virus. I'm hoping you can help me fix it. Okay, here's basically what happens.
I turn on the computer and login like normal. Then It loads my desktop. I then get a message saying Windows doesn;t know how to open WPX21.CPX. Then i get flooded with "X program has crashed would you like to send an error report to microsoft" and sometimes the computer freezes. I can get into some programs (Firefox, MSN, some games) but others just either don't open or crash straight away.
I am running Windows XP professional SP2.

I've recently got into netplaying due to my getting of broadband. So I was looking through my game collection and found my UT2k4 disk. So i booted it up and i'm really enjoying the game a lot more online. So i was wondering if anyone here plays it too. I assume you're all familiar with this game, but if the mods wish it, I will edit with game info.
EDIT:
Game Info
Unreal Tournament 2004 is a fast paced Multiplayer oriented FPS. It features many weapons and vehicles in some gametypes (Assault and Onslaught ). It is built on the Unreal Engine 2.5. It features many game types, some of which are-
Assault- Assault is a mission based game type. Each Assault map has a set mission. Each team is assigned an attacking or a defending role. The attacking team must try and complete these objectives, and the Defending team have to try and stop them. After all objectives are complete or the time limit runs out, the team roles are switched, the attackers become the defenders, and vice- versa. After 2 rounds the team with the most objectives done wins.
Onslaught-Onslaught is a game where you must try and conquer the map. Each team starts with a base, called a power core. Around the map are places called Power Nodes, which are like secondary bases. These Power Nodes start out being unclaimed. When a team member touches a power node, it begins to turn their team's colour. Once it becomes the team's colour, it functions as a spawn point and equipment area for that team. The ultimate goal is to control all the nodes and destroy the enemy's Power Core.
Invasion- In this mode, all players have to fight for survival amongst an army of aliens (taken from Unreal 1). It is a last man standing style game, with no respawns.
It also features normal FPS gametypes such as Capture the Flag and Deathmatch.

The game is highly modable, with a simple mutator system for small changes to gameplay. An example mutator would be adding weapons, or making all weapons meelee weapons. There are also full mods, which can turn the game into a different kind of Fps, or even something as different as an RTS.

Fallout 3 has been banned in Australia. And it's not because of violence... It's because of drug use. This pisses me off to no end, considering now my main reason for buying a 360 is gone. Here is basically the reason they wont let ti come out here-
Quote
"The player can also select and use 'Morphine' (a proscribed drug) which has the positive effect of enabling the character to ignore limb pain when the character's extremities are targeted by the enemy."
The highest rating allowed in Australia for video games is MA 15+. Hence, any game with material the OFLC deems inappropriate for children under 15 will not receive classification. So yeah, what are your thoughts on this?

P.S.
This guy made an excellent point

So, I got an old laptop. And my graphics card isnt listed in the specs. I'm wondering, does it just not exist, or is it intergrated with the memory? If the specs matter it's got 1.4 ghz processor, 512 mb ram, and windows XP professional.

Edit: Problem solved, go home people. It was a Mobility Radeon 9000.

Not much is known about Shiva's role in Final Fantasy XIII, but she will appear as a summon. She will have the ability to transform into a motorcycle.

Hi, I'm new to gamingworld. I've heard a lot of good things about this place.
