So yeah I'm a pretty huge nerd and totally down with tech projects but I'm really not the greatest with software development so I got an Arduino board to teach myself how to program microcontrollers. Games and PC UI software don't interest me in the slightest so I'm looking for some cool projects to put my brain to work on this summer and learn more programming in the process before I make my grand re-entrance to school.

Has anyone here ever played with these things before? so far the only project that has caught my attention is the Arduinome which is basically a Monome clone(peep dis), so maybe I'll do that, but do any of you have any experience or ideas on what I can do with this thing???

So I just got this rad amp and I'm thinking about grabbing a new pair of headphones.

Any of you guys have any experience with the following "cans"?
Denon AH-D5000
Grado RS1i
Sennheiser HD650

which would you suggest? Got any other ones that I'm missing? I have Sennheiser HD 595s right now and I'm looking for something a little more on the high end without getting too ridiculous.

Hey I have a Q6600 that I've normally been able to keep clocked at a good 3.2 ghz with absolutely no problems, but the other day I bought an HD4890 video card on open-box special and now my CPU won't budge from it's stock speed. I can't change the FSB a single Mhz or else the thing won't POST. I swapped out the video card with my old 8800gt and everything is back to normal so I'm positive that's the troublemaker, I've even tried just about every BIOS revision for the board!

Should I just RMA the thing and get something else or is there something I'm missing? It's not a huge deal, but I deal with a lot of compressing and decompressing large amounts of data for work and I've noticed a significant performance decrease here and I'd like to squeeze all the performance I can out of this thing to postpone upgrading as long as possible.

I've been wondering for a while now. why companies continue to use modular socket-based cpus in notebooks instead of a single all in one board like the old ppc apple computers? Does anyone know of any articles that address this because it seems like embedded chips would make a lot more sense in something like a laptop which is basically a disposable computer that can rarely accommodate upgrades of major components.

This game kicks ass. Its probably the best game I've played in years.
they took everything that was good about all the sidescrolling Mario games and made it into one awesome game. Definitely the game to get this year.

The bigmac vs. whopper... arch enemies locked in battle for decades....

Now Burger King is stepping up the challenge and will be feeding hamburgers to people who don't even have a word for hamburgers...

Are you a whopper virgin yourself? Go out and get a whopper and bigmac, eat both and report back to us after you've busted your burger cherry.

Does anyone have any experience using windows on a newer ASUS eeepc, or any other Intel-Atom netbook on the market?
If so, how's the performance with MS Office? Are SSD drives significantly better?

I'm really considering getting one of these things because I hear the battery life is great and having a tiny laptop would make my job/life a lot easier.

Anyone out there digging this album? It's a hell of a lot mellower than their last two albums and a bit more upbeat, I can't stop listening to 'Canadian Girl'. Definitely one to check out if you're looking for new music
