Is there a reason a lot of the old GW members are coming back, or have we never left and just decided now to show ourselves again?

There's this girl at the coffee shop in the mall, and I really like her. But I've never actually talked to her and only view her Facebook page about twice a day. And I'm still sort of with my girlfriend from seven years ago. How am I supposed to let her go after all of that? Did I mention that I got my married, 30-year old, already mother of one coworker pregnant? What should I do guys?

Just kidding.  How is everyone?

Five of my topics are in Pile of Feces. I'm sure if the archives went back further more would have been included. Also, even though I haven't posted in almost two years, I still have about a record of about 4 posts per day.

From what I have gathered, this is your friend's ex-girlfriend?  Forgive me if I'm wrong, but your first post is a little hard to follow.

Anyway, if he is your friend's ex, don't go for it.  People will say its because of the guys code or whatever, but it just makes common sense.  You start dating/fooling around with her, things get uncomfortable with you and her ex, she gets uncomfortable for making things uncomfortable, and it won't work out.  I have "stolen" a couple of girls in the past, and it was never a good idea and never lasted long.

You also said she likes some other guy more than you?  Again, don't go for it.  You said she lost sleep last night for worrying if she made the right choice.  IMO, when you are in a dilemma, its because you know you have to make the choice that will hurt someone, or make things worse, and you are trying to find a way out of it.  She doesn't dig you like that man.  You guys flirted a bit, made out, it's cool.  But she's into this other guy, and like him more than you apparently.  If she starts things up with out, she will always wonder what could have been with this other guy, and nothing will ever get serious with you. And then he will be the one she's sharing chocolate with (which is probably the best part about this story).

On the other hand, if this girl does like you, there is no harm in exploring it.  As long as you don't get too attached while she still likes this other guy, go for it.  Life is too short to quarrel over stupid things like this.  Have fun with her (but be safem you never know...), and see what happens.  The most important thing in all of this though is to remember not to get too serious unless you know this girl is really into you.

We all knew with Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent, Two-Face was bound to show up at some point:

Link

The scenes of the two takes of Two-Face sound amazing.  The only thing I am worried about is if Joker and Two-Face are going to have to fight over screen time.  I would much rather have Two-Face just set up in TDK and get his own film later on.  Batman Begins seemed rather Scarecrow heavy and barely touched on Rhas Al-Ghul, and that was ok because Rhas Al-Ghul is nowhere near as iconic as either of these.  I hope Christopher Nolan can do them justice.

EDIT: Apparently some really blurry images of the TDK Two-Face figure have surfaced:

The article says that Activision was worried about their relationship with Nintendo if they were to release this.  If anything, Nintendo shouldn't make threats like that.  Not having games like Guitar Hero should be a bad thing to Nintendo, not Activision.

Well, its either that, or do it with a fat psp :\

I could have told you how to hack the battery you have already (thats what I did), but sony already put out new batteries, that can't be hacked, and I'm guessing you have one of those so...... (unless you bought it post december)

Its actually a system I'm gusssing from quite some time ago since I hadn't bought it new.  It is an original model.

I just got a 3.71 PSP off of a friend of mine.  Two questions:

1. What is the difference between 3.71 and 3.71 M33?  Is there a way for me to get the M33 version, and do I need it?

2. I've seen that I can downgrade my 3.71 to 1.5 with use of a "pandora" battery.  How do I do this, do I need to do this?

I've been trying to make a Pandora battery... apparently I need an already modded PSP to do it?

Uwe Boll has actually run out of money to do movies.  Far Cry needs to make like a billion dollars for him to turn a profit.

Anyway, I don't particularly think they should make a "Bioshock" movie, but perhaps a "Rapture" movie.  Start before the days of Rapture, with Andrew Ryan still figuring out his ideas, and move into the city's demise, much like the prequel is rumored to be about.  Don't make Ryan the bad guy, make him the victim.

That would make a pretty damn good movie IMO.

I just read online (pardon me if it has been posted already), but apparently the reason a Capcom character (ie Mega Man) wasn't considered for Brawl is because Nintendo is still peeved at Capcom for taking the exclusivity of RE4 away from them.

Also, does anyone know of a video showing the "new model of Metal Gear" from the Shadow Moses stage?

1. Final Fantasy VII
2. Resident Evil 4
3. MGS3: Subsistence
4. Castlevania: SotN
5. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

To me, these games are the absolute greatest, because I can play them time and time and time again and never get bored with them.

I don't like them either, they put too much ice on the coke. I have sensitive teeth.

--

BTW if you want some free food you can look for it in those trash cans they have around their restaurants, a lot of people order some mac burguer and take a bite or two and then just leave them there or throw them into the trash, ,and it's perfectly fine, if you don't eat meat like me you can just give the "meat" in them to an animal like a dog and eat the rest, it's tasty

--

And before anyone says anything about it being gross, you should know that that's why you have an immune system, and if you don't eat some trash and be a little filthy it will just go crazy and attack your own cells, causing auto-immune diseases like asthma. In fact, excess of cleanliness is the #1 reason why there are so much cases of asthma in the developed world.

We all have to eat a little shit every once in a while.

I want to say a few things before this topic gets locked.

First off, I want to agree with Sarhan that a game does not need a good story (or a story at all) to be a good game.  Steel mentioned Katamari.  No story whatsoever.  As someone else said (could have been Steel as well), the majority of games for 8-bit systems didn't have a whole lot of story.  They had entertainment value, and that is what makes games good.  Sure, story does make a damn good game, but it's not a necessity.  With that being the case, the Wii is the greatest system in the world (keep reading).  A lot of people have fun playing "Waggle Stick Ultra."

Which brings me to my next point - Sarhan is right again - you do need to experience something to give a fair opinion.  I'm not saying Steel's opinion about the Wii is not legitimate - he's probably tried a Wii, probably didn't like it. I don't know for certain - but you shouldn't say that the Wii is mega-crap, it just doesn't appeal to you.  I've never read Love in the Time of Cholera or seen American History X or listened to Elliott Smith, so I can't really say one way or the other whether they are good or bad.  I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who don't like some of those things, but I shouldn't make an opinion about them based on their feelings.  Those could all be the end-all of their mediums - or the exact opposite - and I can't really say one way or the other.  The same goes for the majority of Wii games.  I never played Wii Play or Monster Trux Racing.  I don't know if they're amazing or shit.  A lot of people like them though.  If they didn't, it wouldn't be so damn popular.

(This sort of contradicts my earlier statement of Smash Bros. and NMH being reasons to buy a Wii, but bare with me).

The thing the Wii needs most, and we can all agree on this, is third-party support.  And as Hundley keeps saying, there isn't much of a reason for a company to develop a game for a Wii (other than low production costs, which is probably why so many crap games come out for it).  To make a game like Bioshock or Metal Gear or Resident Evil you need that new technology, and it just isn't there for Wii.  I think if the Wii would have been released 7 years ago as the Gamecube, Nintendo would be in a much better posisition.

And I like to consider myself not a "fanboy" (we had rules against calling people that at one point, right?), but more of a passionate person.  I do like my Wii, it could have some potential, but it needs a lot of work to get there.

EDIT: Holy shit 13 new replies as I typed this...

Ok, then most of these games are good except the ones that aren't out though they probably will be. NMH got 9's from nearly all reviews I checked, and Famitsu gave Brawl a 40/40.  I didn't realize better reviews meant bad games.

I kind of want to jump in here and defend the Wii a little bit after the whole "FUCK YOU" Marcus said.

I will agree, the Wii doesn'y have a lot of games for it that appeal to people like us (aka people who want a game with substance, rather than waggle motions).  But I feel that the ones that it does make it worth the buy.  Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Resident Evil, No More Heroes, Smash Bros, Mario Kart - these are all good games that aren't on other systems (except RE4).  I generally feel they are worth playing, and with the Wii being substantially less than the other systems, it's a good investment IMHO.

I haven't really played my Wii since I beat Metroid though.  I bought Mario and only have like 10 stars.  But I bought NMH today, so maybe that will change.

So in a couple of days I am going to be looking at an apartment.  This whole thing is new to me; I've never had my own place before.  Currently I live in the house I have always lived in with my brother.  It's my mom's house, but she now lives in Ohio.

Anyway, it's starting to get a little old, so we wanted to find some place new.  I found this nice first floor apartment about 4 or 5 blacks from where I currently live, completely remodeled.  $595/month plus gas and electric.

Other than that I know nothing.  I've never had a landlord, never signed a lease... nothing.  What should a look for?  Anything I should worry about?  Does this place seem like a good deal?

Help me out GW!

I was pretty distraught all day about this.  My assistant manager had left at 5PM today, and about 15 minutes later he calls up to tell me the news.  I didn't think he was serious at first (he is the kind of person who would tell me someone I liked died just to see me get upset for a minute), but he seemed pretty upset about it as well (we are both pretty into movies and were really looking forward to The Dark Knight).  After that I just couldn't believe it.  Not only was Heath a semi-favorite actor of mine, but he was so young, and I just didn't know he would be into drugs enough to overdose (this is before I knew it was prescription sleeping pills).  He also has a two year old daughter with Michelle Williams, who I can only hope grows up to know her father was a great actor, a great man and loved by everyone.  It's a shame when a parent dies leaving such a young child behind.
