For me it was galaga, on the atarti 2600. I didn't really get passionate about playing games till NES came out, but I experienced enough atari games to permanently identify it with classic video gaming.

What a flat and boring game. Everything is so repetitive and stale. I can't believe I wasted money on this either. :fogetpout:

You can also adjust the refresh on your monitor. Make sure you're using the maximum for each resolution.

The original Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast allowed you to transfer a Chao to the little LCD screen'd thing you slot into your controller. Not sure what benefits that gave, though, I'd only ever seen it in adverts.

It allowed you to then take care of the chao portably in a tamagotchi-like fashion. Seemed pretty impractical to me considering how quickly those damn things burnt through their batteries.

Speaking of dramcast, anyone remember that strange game with the freaky-fish where you would talk to him on a microphone? I think "hey you pikachu" was a clone of it?

Normally I advise against premade systems, but this is a deal too good for even me to pass up:

https://alvio.com/config.aspx?t=&product_ID=520958

For $140 (USD) you get a fairly decent system. Just throw in a newer PCIE card and you'll have a very potent gaming rig. They even ship international. I found this while looking for a q6600 processor, but now I'm just going to get this system and take the proc out and put my old one in. Anyone else who needs a spare pc, or any of the parts included here, should definitely jump on this sweet deal. I kept looking for a catch but I couldn't find one. This does indeed seem too good to be true.

I meant the US servers. Every single US server has more alliance than horde. Now the worgen will give them a boom of the furry population, cause ya know, alliance needs more immature kiddies.

What I like to do when I have a problematic fan is, I'll try to stop it from spinning for a second with my finger, and see if the noise stops. Usually you can find out which fan it is within only a few seconds. Course this would be harder to do with a laptop, but still possible. If you have to have the machine running while pieces of the case are off, be careful to not touch anything else not a fan.

If it is a fan, you may have to purchase a new part (if you feel competent in being able to properly install it), or send it in for repairs/warranty.

3-4GB is enough for most online games, and if you want to stick to a 32 bit OS, you're limited to 4 anyhow.
A newer generation dual core over 2ghz is your best bet for your processor. Video card depends on your budged, might as well figure out how much you have left and get what's affordable. Lots of price-to-performance ratio charts out there that can really help you get most bang for your buck, for not only video cards but also processors and more.

UPSes are always a step up from a simple power surge protector. There's no real downside to using them, and they are quite safe to use.

If it's still new, it should still be under warranty (or even under the return policy of the store you bought it from). Contact either and ask about your options. You should be able to get your money back, store credit, or a replacement card :)

We need to give credit to blizzard for taking pre-existing items, slightly changing the skin tone, and updating the stats. How else can they do exactly what they have been doing, but get people excited about it?
