(the hatred towards fangames is that they're horrible, and a roadblock in creativity. it's disgusting that someone who potentially has the talent to make a game would hide under the guise of something already out there, most of the people at GW are creative in some form or another and it's just a WASTE OF TALENT to see someone work on a fangame, providing that person has talent anyway. It's a lame cop-out and just an excuse to not make your own thing)
It's disgusting? Why? It's two words in the title. It's my first game that I'm (hopefully) going to finish, and I want it to be a tribute to Final Fantasy. I'm not going to reshape my entire game because that makes it inherently bad to some narrow-minded idiots. But according to you, you agree with GR, who said my game is shitty, so I don't "potentially have the talent to make a good game" or whatever, so I don't see why you care.

Most of us consider Final Fantasy fangames to be pretty dang awful. Goldenratio was completely right when he said that there is no reason for them, since there is nothing specifically 'Final Fantasy' about any of them, and any of them could be standalone games. Everyone's ignoring it because everyone AGREES WITH HIM.
So he was right to shout obscenities at me? What was it I said that set him off again? Oh, right. I was responding to Bandito by saying that he should play music over it if it bored him. So am I supposed to reupload the video with music just so it isn't "boring" when the music isn't even relative to what I want critiqued?
And I love this logic here. So by removing two words from the title, it suddenly doesn't automatically suck. For someone saying I shouldn't base the community on one member (which I'm not, if you check the other account, I've been here long enough to know what pricks this forum is filled with) you seem to be generalizing a lot too.
