Yup, I’m still in Halifax. Have a great job just minutes from my house. I don’t foresee myself moving anytime soon. Wish this forum was more active. I miss talking to everyone who used to come here.

Hello everyone. Just checking in letting everyone know that I’m doing well. I’ve had quite a few life changes in the last few years. I realized I was raised in a cult so I left that, came out to myself and the rest of my family, moved out and got my own place, joined a support group for people from said cult, met a guy who I instantly clicked with, met him in person since we lived in different countries, decided to live together, got married, bought a house, settled in and now we have a kitten. Life is good, although it’s been years since I’ve touched Rm2k3... Oh well, what can you do?

So, where did everyone end up in life? Are any GWers now fathers, husbands, or forever aloners? I think most of us are either in our mid or late 20s now. What kind of jobs have people landed? We need updates.

As for me, I'm managing a pharmacy now. I've been a pharmacist since 2010. Moved to New Brunswick for one year in 2011 and then moved back to Nova Scotia. No significant other. Always thought I'd be married by 28, but I'm 27 now and that doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon. I've almost accepted that I'm going to be alone the rest of my life. Certainly not against the idea of a wife and kids but if it never happens I guess I can live with that. I've always been a solitary kind of dude anyway who never really socialized much out in the real world. But I do have two great cats and finally managed to grow a decent beard; can't complain about that! Gotta look on the bright side of life.

I like how there is activity on this forum again. Perhaps the nostalgia is bringing people back finally.

I definitely suppor this idea.

Where
At Survivor Sucks. He used to post a lot in the Speculation forum. I think I got MDN addicted to reality tv back when I was organizing the Making the Cut games, and he's been on the SS forums ever since, watching Survivor and analyzing players' edits.

Mississauga is pretty nice. I grew up there pretty much on the border of Mississauga and Etobicoke. I would also advise you stay away from Hamilton, as it's such a dirty city and you wouldn't want to get shot and/or stabbed.

I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia now. The friendly atmosphere is right up my alley. Don't think I'll ever leave.

Has anyone encountered another GWer on another forum? It's kind of weird when it happens.

I still see MDN randomly. Haven't seen Medieve in a while but we used to play Heroes of Newerth together years ago. I wish we had a "where are they now" topic where we could post updates on our lives and/or stalk other people. :P

I don't know why, but I clicked on the GW Forums link I still had bookmarked just now, and decided I should post here for old time's sake. I don't think I'll ever delete the bookmark. GW was an important part of my younger years and I still feel like you guys are part of my extended family. I hope everyone's life is going great!

Anyone know of any routines to actually put on weight?

I'm 6'1" but only 118 lbs (!) - haven't gained weight since highschool and that was almost 10 years ago. Tried eating tons and eating unhealthily but nothing ever worked so maybe weightlifting is the way to go? I hate being skinny!

Q)  what do you do for employment, and how does it relate to your dreamsz?

A) I deal drugs (legally, so it's not as exciting) and the pay is not quite as lucrative. Can't believe what some prescription drugs go for on the street. People are insane! ($20 for a single oxycontin 20mg) But anyway, it's a nice stable profession and I've always wanted to work in the healthcare field. I just hate dealing with rude customers at times and there are days where I wish I didn't have to interact with the public.. but then again there are those moments when you really make a difference in someone's life and they really appreciate it and then makes up for all the bad times. You gotta take the good with the bad, just like any job I suppose.

Q) If you switched genders for a day what would you do?

I've never heard of this but now I'm intrigued. Need to track this game down and experience it.

is there aliens in the bible?

NO THEN CASE CLOSED
Leviticus 16:29 - And it must serve as a statute to time indefinite for YOU people: In the seventh month on the tenth of the month YOU should afflict YOUR souls, and YOU must not do any work, either the native or the alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst.

Hmm...

I watched The Last Supper which I found to be surprisingly good (it has Cameron Diaz in it so I automatically expected the movie to suck). I personally would have liked to have seen the movie end 10 seconds before it did to leave the end a little more ambiguous, but it still generates debate which is nice. Basically, the movie is about this group of liberal-minded friends living in the same house, who invite a guest over for dinner and kill them if they believe that in doing so it will be for the betterment of society.
