this is weird to say about an internet person i really barely knew, but steel had a huge impact on me... huge. i was younger then, and so i was easily influenced i guess, but looking back today, i honestly feel he was a huge influence on who i am today.... he tought me to think critically, to look at things differently... he introduced me to my absolute FAVORITE BOOK infinite jest. fuck he single handedly ignited my love of reading in general. i am truly a much better person for knowing him. BECAUSE i knew him. if i hadnt.... i really, really believe i am so different today... for the worse... i wish i had told him these things.... i didnt post much after his death, for loss of words i guess, and these are the things i wish i said then. i suppose its better to say them late then never. if there is a heaven i cant wait to dap that nigga......

im sorry god i am drunk.

funny how the rap underground has really rallied around the r&b/soul revival. probably has a lot to do with the frank ocean/odd future connection.

seriously, is on some other shit. this mixtape, house of balloons, is unreal. if you can stand or appreciate r&b on any level then you need to hear this asap. i dont know what it is but the atmosphere in this album... at it's best it's dark, it's haunting, its fucking captivating to me. and it's something i bet most of you have missed. the strength of the album really lies in the production but this guys voice is seriously ligit.

some stretches do drag but there pretty much all the songs are great

if you like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ex38L8xtNI

nah i didn't mean it like that. you don't have to be one of those dudes that makes a 5 post long mega OP, and most members dont, though you will be more involved in the community if you do so. the place has something like 150,000 members, so some try to stick out for internet cred i guess.

but plenty of the forum conversation is very casual, and most posts are not thesis esque in length and content you know. they want you to add something on a semi regular basis, but the community definitely has a sense of humor about it and isn't as strict or stuffy as i think you see them.

look at that. it's dead serious. screams I care what my artificial community thinks of me bc it's all I have

such a stuffy place

edit actually disregard this post I don't want to talk about sa

i don't see whats so wrong with that. you get out what you put in, and if you don't like the heat get out the kitchen. i'm not about to put that much thought into a single post myself but i appreciate those that do.

and back when GW was active there were plenty of unfair and unwarranted bans. it was free to join but this place had an elite streak of its own back in the day

 whatever, to each his own.

MY INTERNET FORUM IS BETTER THEN YOUR INTERNET FORUM

they're pretty tolerant of alternate viewpoints over there if so long as youre not a racist, dismissive, or un-contributing douche.

yeah they are elitist fucks but they put a lot of work into their posts and the effort shows.

how 2005

what

yeah the $10 basically just filters out the shitposters and motivates you to think before posting and actually add something to the conversation. it's five dollars to customize your avatar though, that pisses me off.

this is why i only watch documentaries that feature either slavoj zizek spitting uncontrollably on his shirt for 55 minutes or orson welles doing nothing in particular but having a good time nonetheless.

i started watching f for fake but came in like 20 minutes after it started and i just was so confused like MAN I MISSED SOME KEY PLOT POINTS OR SOMETHING
