Is that the resolution on the game, Montai? (please say no because that looks pretty and I'd like to see it in a bigger size)

I'd say it's more damaging to the US that they are going through so much (assumed) trouble to get Assange than the leaks on the internet.

Because, you know. Some of us don't even read WikiLeaks, but most of us read the newspaper, and when we read "international scandal", "problems for America diplomatically" and "Assange suddenly arrested for alleged rape", we tend to put one, one and one together and come up with three.

A question arose just a moment ago that I thought was interesting enough to ask.

Specifically, how do you write the actual plot to your game, and in what form do you direct the plot's flow?

I've heard some people get a basic idea (I want a good guy to find a sword to defeat a bad guy with) and then just run with it. Does anyone write out a game script for dialogue and events before advancing to creating the game? Or do many really just roll with it?

Do you build your plot based around events you want to happen, or do you start with a character and focus the plot on their adventure?

I've personally always held that writing a script before anything, and building any plot around its characters rather than a premise and an event is the best way to go. I can't work without actually scripting out the plot lines so I have something to hold on to, with enough freedom to add events as I so choose provided I do not alter the core events too much.

Working from characters seems natural and easy to me, but I imagine others might disagree.

What are your opinions?

I did say I only logged in to check private messages and whenever I saw something meaningful to post, but I feel I have to clarify why I didn't bother responding in the eleven days since the inquiry came where I was.

I was busy with college, and whenever I had free time I didn't even bother looking at GamingW, but looked over my e-mail and played Fallout instead.

So in summary, I do live, but I'm not paying daily attention to this forum. If you still do want to go with the plan outlined a bit earlier, I'd like to receive a copy sometime BEFORE you want my contribution to catch up. Otherwise, my "its all cools" comment stands in that I won't feel too left out if you decide on other plans instead. The end result is a full game with or without my help I do suppose.

Sorry, Anathema, you are the only alternate I hadn't sent a PM to since you hadn't signed in in months.

Yeah, I only log in when I get an e-mail alart of new messages or when there's something meaningful for me to post.

Its cools, though.

I've sent PMs to every alternate, except for the ones who haven't even TOUCHED the forum since January or so...

I'm pretty sure I've logged in once after that time! ... :z

You need to google a program that'll remove faulty registry keys for you. Uninstall Fraps, then run the program. I think Windows Cleaner should work.

Once the registry files are deleted, install Fraps again. The trial version's registry files mess with the full version's registry files.

Ask someone that has a legal version of Fraps to share the install file with you. ; )

Disqualified!

... Well crud! My life's goal has been shattered before my very eyes. The very fabric of my soul has been shredded to pieces, torn asunder by your words of fury. At present, my keyboard is composing a symphonia of sadness and lament, writing into your very soul about the tear-jerking trauma you have just delivered unto me. Words cannot express how I feel, but unfortunately that's all I have to work with.

May the following poem correctly convey my feelings to you;

Roses are red, violets are blue,
You disqualified me, that's not nice of you.

Though I had no intent on actually posting in any forum beside gamemaking related ones, I find myself strangely drawn to an opportunity that could net me something for free what others normally pay for.

As any, I hereby toss my name out into the pool - It seems I can't resist the irresistable attraction produced by FREE STUFF. To compensate, I will also attempt a funny.

This would, admittedly, be considerably easier on me had I any common sense of humor, so you'll have to forgive me if it's too obscure or dull:

Hi ^_^!!! WELCOME BACK!!!!

Hope you have a good time!! ^_^!

I feel like such a weeaboo now... Welcome back, though, I mean it. Anyone that sports a Megaman(-related) avatar must be some sort of cool - It's up to you to define which sort of cool you are!

"Tsukuru" can also mean school but I see you choose a different path...

Don't tell me you are opposed to learning!?

Romanji:  tsukuru
Kanji:  造る
Kana: つくる

Meaning: to make, to create, to manufacture, to draw up, to write, to compose, to build, to coin, to cultivate, to organize, to establish, to make up (a face), to trim (a tree), to fabricate, to prepare (food), to commit (sin), to construct, (P)

How can it mean school...? Dialect, or something? I'd like to know. Maybe it's progressive for a study in Japanese.

I promised myself I'd never post in this section, but it seems my want-to-know is stronger than promises to myself.

Also, hullo newcomer. In Japan, rape is equal to saying Hi.

Being an alternate feels good. I now know how Flik always feels in my Suikoden playthroughs.

So... how do you decide what alternative is called upon in times of dire need? (read: if someone folds)

I'll feign complete ignorance to the current drama at hand and say,

"Welcome back, then, good sir."
