DreaMaker (http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26497) can extract every dialog in the game into a txt file, so it wouldn't even take a minute to change the speed if the problems have been fixed (it simply stopped inserting the changed dialog because of some maps for no apparent reason)

Well, the only other thing worth mentioning I can think of is to avoid rotating big pictures because it can lead to an extreme lag, especially combined with show message commands. I could be mistaken, but it seems this mostly happens on Windows Vista.

And something else that has nothing to do with lags:
If you have very long events, then insert a comment at the beginning. This strangely enough reduces the codes loading time.

I wouldn't use molebox to begin with. Apart from the fact, that the performance can go down the drain it seems to randomly cause errors, as seen in some german rpg-maker games which used it.
Sure you don't want others to use your custom sprites, but then you should mention it in the readme or something like that. Of course this won't stop everyone, but it can drastrically reduce the number of people stealing from you.

Considering that only 30% of the game are done which already consist of 600 Maps and tons of dialogue...no, that's very unlikely xD
