The game is also stupidly easy, and not very long.  (I did say ages ago, the game was about 20 hours long, but nobody believed me)
I disagree with this, the game is actually quite lengthy and took me about 35+ hours on my first playthrough and I estimate that I only did about 60-70% of the side quests in the game. I am also pretty sure sure Gearbox did say it would take 20 hours if you just breezed through the story missions without taking any side quests as well so in that aspect I will agree but if you do the side quests then the game is extended greatly. Since you can't reach the level cap in one playthrough, you have the option at the end called "playthrough 2" which is pretty much a "new game +" that extends the game but I consider it just playing through the game on the hard difficulty as it just rehashes everything but it does make the loot better and also the enemies have some slight differences and making them more challenging which is nice. I can complain though that yes it did have some odd bugs and the worst part was the ending, which was horrible(though the last boss was pretty cool looking in some ways but it unfortunately amounted to nothing but shooting it's weak spot and easily dodgeable attacks, except that stupid laser that penetrates walls :/). I really didn't like too much of the humor either, but I will admit the many pop culture references made me laugh a little.
Edit: I do actually agree with what you said about the PC version, I didn't like the control setup very much and it was a bit buggier than the console version with some crashes(about 4 or 5 so far) but if it's moddable then I will probably like it a bit more since me and my friends love game mods.

Is there a hard mode, or a file one can edit to change the difficulty? I like it when my games are hard, as in dying at the same spot over and over hard.
I'd really like to know that before I buy it.

There is no difficulty levels.
On the PC version there is a file with "GameDifficulty=+1.0", which I assume would be used to change the difficulty of the game.
However, I have tried various numbers, 1.5, 10.0, 100.0 and even 1000.0. I did not notice any real difference with any of those.

I am keeping it at 2.0 just incase it does actually effect difficulty though.

I just finished a Borderlands session with my friend... it's now 4am ffs.

It's such a SHIT game, fucking buggy and not well thought out at all... but somehow still damn fun.

Yugi, maybe you should try negative numbers. See if then people shooting at you die spontaneously.

Edit:
You can do a Playthrough 2 when you finish your first playthrough which amps up the enemy speed slightly and increases their levels drastically. It took me an hour to get to skag gully on this mode and I leveled up from 36 to 38 within that time so the xp is great too.

I just started the second playthrough at level 35, I dont plan on doing any side missions whatsoever. So far the weapons and loot have been upgraded nicely although I'm still pissed about the ending of the game which was just stupid as hell. Just wished I could play this online, im sure it would be a lot more entertaining.

man the last boss was literally just shoot the weak spot and run away from its crappy attacks. it took ages to kill but wasnt challenging at all. i found bosses like much more difficult! maybe it was because i was too low level. (playing it solo)

also playing on 360 the only bug i've experienced is voices cutting out occasionally, that's all. it's a decent game imo, but a little repetitive. i'm sure it would be more fun with 4 players.

Also I've been playing with the Siren so I'm phasewalking past everything and heading straight to the bosses which cuts out a lot of time.. dunno how long ill be able to keep it up with enemy levels increasing the further I go but so far its working like a charm.

I'm not sure if I can be bothered to try out a new character but might eventually try out the Hunter since he was my second choice after the Siren.

I am a soldier myself so I don't have the convenience of phasewalk :(. Good god do I LOATHE Hardened Alpha Skags, they take longer to die than most Badmuthas and their attacks are brutal. Corrosive weapons are pretty effective, but not by much :/

I just fucking hate Alpha Skags in general. They seem to have far more health or a hardcore defense compared to Badass Skags, which I can kill with one or two clips of my Assault Rifle. Alpha Skags are a pain in the ass really.

Well it also doesn't help that instead of fighting regular elemental skags, they are always badass alpha now :(. I am thankfully in the Dhal Headlands now so Skags aren't thankfully there except Skagzilla.

I sat and played this with a friend and it sucked because even though he was level 20 it forced me to be level 1.

I coincidentally have 61$ on a gamestop card so i will probably buy it anyway but it kinda bums me out that the options for playing with friends are either start over or drag me along for a game of reviving every few minutes

Just played the game (Since I need a brake from Ratchet & Clank) it ok and I could waste alot of time just trying to get the gun skill up and the Lv cap isn't so bad since they have a gun skils witch if you max out a gun skill and your lv it's almost like having LV99.

Played this a bit online and kept losing the levels I made and any loot I found everytime the host left the game or when I lost connection, annoying as hell...
