Man these consecutive boss battles at the end of Cave Story are hard.
I aboslutely adored Cave Story and regret not playing it before I did. It was a very charming, atmospheric, and well-made platformer that is very deserving of some sort of sequel.
Also, aren't you referring to, IIRC, the doctor, misery, and the undead core? I remember finding the earlier ending and feeling disappointed at the fact that I couldnt save the island, but then I read a walkthrough and continued to play through the rest of the content. I should really play it again whenever I find the spare time.

Out of curiosity. did you buy them for full price?

lol I bought the resurgence pack for full price and theres a half price deal on right now for both map packs so i bought the stimulus pack around 2 days ago.

the resurgence pack is awesome and so is the stimulus.....but the resurgence pack is a tad bit better.

Yeah, I'm talking about Misery, the Doctor, the Undead Core and then Sacred Grounds. And I don't have my life pot anymore, and I didn't get all of the health upgrades. So yeah. I do have the Spur and Booster 2.0 though.

You didn't feel at all ripped off? I mean... $15 for 5 maps? well. In any case. A few people have told me its worth it now. So I suppose I'll get it.

Finally made some progress on Clear Sky. They made some pretty cool changes and improvements from Shadow of Chernobyl. I like being able to upgrade my weapons.

beat enslaved in 9 hours, really liked it. fantastic setting and some of the sceneries were pretty breathtaking, one of my favorite ps3 games for sure. i wish there were more good adventures games like it and uncharted series. :(

anyway, started castlevania lords of shadow. pretty good so far but nothing special. it's pretty difficult which is nice.

Still haven't beaten Sacred Grounds in Cave Story. This is one of the hardest things ever, and at the end of it you get to fight four bosses in a row without ever being able to refill your health.

I'm curious if Lords of Shadow is worth the price tag. I heard from a lot of people it's a pretty difficult game, but I'm curious about the length and shit. Hoping you can unlock Richter or something.

i read a few reviews before it came out and some said it's 15-20 hours long and others said it's 20-25 hours long so it's a pretty lengthy game.

Take Halo and Gears of War. Add them together. Add more post-processing than acceptable by human eyes.

That's Vanquish (PS3).

So NBA JAM came out for the wii, probably one of my favorite sega titles (I know it came out on a shit load of other systems but I played it on the genesis). 50 USD seems a bit high though, I still might grab it.

I can't wait for the new NBA Jam but I'm not getting it for the Wii.  I'm waiting for the PS3/360 versions.  iirc you can't even use gamecube controllers with it (unless I'm confusing it with another game I read about recently) so I'd have to buy classic controllers for it, on top of actually dragging out my Wii.  Fuck that, I can wait.

edit: yeah, no gamecube controller support.  also no online support.  literally zero reason to get the wii version if you own a ps3 or 360.

NBA Jam is one of my favorite co-op (if you can call it that???) games so this should be really awesome.

Just watched a video of that game and there was absolutely nothing remarkable about it except for the absolutely terrible dialog: "We have eight hours to stop that from happening.  We will stop that from happening."

I spend my time playing Team Fortress 2 almost constantly these days.

I predict I'll be playing Sonic the Hedgehog 4 soon, come this 11th.

i used to really like team fortress 2 because of how basic and tight it felt but i downloaded it again recently and there is a lot of mess in the game now. i used to listen to mp3 lectures on earphones and play it in bed and i was still pretty successful at it. now there are so many maps i don't know and everyone has weird weapons so i can never tell how to approach things.
