So i rented Saints Row The Third over the weekend from Redbox. This game sucks. I returned it the next day. I probably didn't play enough to give it an accurate assessment but it was basically just Grand Theft Auto plus "WACKY" except wacky apparently means DUMB to these people.

After playing Red Dead Redemption I feel like the whole style of game (the GTA-style open-world) just doesn't work in the city. I'm used to the tight controls of Dark Souls so the game felt very sloppy and imprecise. There are just so many better open-world games this one doesn't seem special in any way. I like the online co-op though. I didn't play it but I like that it exists.
yes coulombs are "germaine", did you learn that word at talk like a dick school?

I'd imagine every game would feel sloppy compared to a game like Dark Souls, it has no equal when it comes to precision.

Started Mass Effect 2 on the PC recently. I like not having to deal with an inventory since it was such a huge nuisance from the midpoint onwards of the first game, but I HATE how there is no way to assign a quick key to your Journal. Why would they remove such a simple basic functionality? Makes no sense to me.

I like the direction the game took as it completely caught me off guard in the intro. I love it when things like that happen.

On a random note, I love hearing Tricia Helfer's voice. <3

I finally bought all the DLC for New Vegas so BAM - new playthrough started!

It really fucking annoyed me that the second I bought the DLC (bought them all over the course of 7 days, basically just under 4000 points worth including the stupid gun runner/caravan pack thingies, so like £35) I find out from Play.com that the "game of the year" edition (although called something else) is being released in like a week, and for like £23.

Mother fucker.

Alternating between MW3 (when I need my online shooter fix) and Morrowind (for when I need some story and rpg progression).

I've been playing The Temple of Elemental Evil. This is the only Dungeons and Dragons video game I can think of that really felt like I was playing Dungeons and Dragons. I've never had a pen and paper session with nearly as much story depth as like Baldur's Gate, but I've totally played 'there's treasure somewhere close, go and kill shit in a dungeon until you're loaded" sessions which I think TOEE really nails. I can see why this game has its share of critics as there's virtually no plot and it's mostly combat oriented, but I think if you play it with the mindset of it being more of a Turn Based Strategy with D&D rules instead of the pinnacle of what D&D can produce it's much more enjoyable.

ToEE is great up until the point when you realise it's only half done. Plus they took out the brothel quests and getting gay-married to that gay pirate (I forget his name).

Still though, you're correct, I bloody LOVED the game when I was playing it. Especially IRONMAN MODE. Basically it went downhill once you actually enter the temple IMO, but otherwise it filled quite a lot of funtimes for me.

Plus getting that weird Druid (the first kind of "boss" you fight) to join your crew was a nice unexpected twist.

This relationship was described as "pushing the boundaries" by Guardian Unlimited.[8] Criticism of the relationship came not only from industry observers, but also from some gamers who felt that gay characters should not be included in video games in order to maintain the status quo.[7]

"That's not a fashionable disposition, but it's the conclusion I feel most comfortable with", Roger Egbert allegedly commented on his solo-playthough as the homosexual character to a staff member of Otaku.[12]

I've been playing this game called Towns, found here: http://www.townsgame.com/

It's like a Settlers style indie game that will hopefully grow to be pretty big.

It's pretty neat..

If you have a gay character in your party in a game, does that make you gay-by-proxy? :(

PLEASE DO NOT UPSET THE STATUS QUO OF THE GAMING HETEROVERSE!!!

I found this new roguelike called Brogue: https://sites.google.com/site/broguegame/

It's actually pretty decent. If you like roguelikes it'd be a worth play, it does some things differently.

That rpg game that was supposed to teach you japanese http://lrnj.com/
.I quit after the first few minutes. I swear if I don't get tired of learning this language and actually become proficient in it I'll make a much better rpg than that and I'll make it for free.
