I tried a demo of the Ghostbusters 360 game a while back and wasn't impressed. It was nicely enough done, but it just didn't grab me as something I wanted to buy. The writing and atmosphere seemed a little wasted, because I was too busy trying to reel a ghost into a trap to be paying much attention.

I've never really had a problem with epsxe, running games from iso files or from actual discs. Every now and then I screw up and move the folder for some reason, causing the program to promptly announce that it can no longer find any of the files it needs to function. All I have to do is go back in and remind it which sub directories to look in for plugins. I might be running an older version though, because the .exe has 8/4/2003 as its "last modified" date. I also keep the original .rar so I can replace the installed version in case anything does go wrong with it. My Dreamcast emulator taught me that lesson, the thing had to be re-installed almost every other game.

hundley i had the same problem, epsxe worked like a charm for me before but when i tried using it again recently shit didn't work.  like, i used to be able to play monster rancher by mounting ISOs and using them as the discs, but now this doesn't work anymore.  seems like half the shit that used to work doesn't anymore, how in the world does an emulator go BACKWARDS when it comes to compatibility??

actually it turned out that i am id;iot and the place i was getting my roms had some fancy stupid iso compression method that i mistook for some new iso format. it's called ecm and pretty much all you need is ecm tools to un-ecm the files. maybe this is the problem you were having too?????

dude you can get a gamecube with everything from gamestop for $30, you got fuckin ripped off if you bought a ps1 for more than $20

I would recommend against anyone ever doing this.  I did it one year for my nephew and ended up getting a defective system.  We returned it several times but never got another model that worked, so I ended up giving my nephew mine.

no i had regular isos, the problem was some functionalities that worked in older epsxe versions just don't work anymore, i read around about the monster rancher thing and all i found was someone saying "yeah you have to use an old version"

also i got my ps2 refurbished from gamestop and have had zero problems

I want to play Red Faction: Guerrilla but I'm just not feeling it. I have the game and I've played it a bit. Sure it's fun smashing everything into tiny bits, but for some reason I'm never in the mood to play that game. I've also gotten back into playing Spelunky (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=4017.0), which hit version 1.0 a while back, by the way. Other than that, I play matches of Crysis Wars from time to time.

Also playing Muramasa, and very rarely Arkham Asylum, though once I'm done with Muramasa I'll move on to that.

also i have been trying to emulate ps1 games but i can't seem to get the damn emulator working anymore. it's kinda strange. i have all the plugins and shit and at one point epsxe ran well for me but now it doesn't run anything anymore at all and i can't figure out why. this is an unfortunate scenario because my ps1 is busted and my ps2 doesn't read ps1 games anymore for some reason, so i am unable to play all those games. A GAMING TRAGEDY

I torrented a copy of Quest for Glory 4, since mine was one of the many discs I lost during the roof removal/subsequent closet flooding of last year's hurricane season. I don't think I've played the game in almost nine years (yeah - boxes of old games tend to follow me when I move), so I'm enjoying a slightly glitchy trip down memory lane. When I played the game the first time, I hadn't gotten into H.P. Lovecraft yet, so I didn't catch onto the fact that the Dark One/Cult of the Dark One was just a big Cthulhu analogue. Ah, youth.

Been playing Need for Speed Shift a bit still. Also started playing Risen today. Pretty decent RPG. Seems like a not so shitty version of Fable.

Shonen jump Heroes ( i think  #2?) is the best game ive ever played for DS.  its in Jap so its a little shitty not to read it but man its a sickly fun game on wifi.

If you have a flash card you can have it translated...Really I would like someone to fully translation is Inazuma eleven 1 and 2 fully translated.

But I'm told there is a lot of dialog in the game and different interactions depending on what you do... so it's hard for any amateur translater to do.

Finally bought Bladestorm for the 360.  Been meaning to get it for a while since I played the demo idk how long ago.  It's a little repetitive, but it's v. fun.  I really think this game is what Dynasty Warriors should be--you can actually have some level of control over the rest of your army instead of them occasionally leaving you by yourself.  I wish the AI would be just a little better, but to be fair they only neglect you when you fail to follow the flow of battle (which it shows what cities are struggling and whether it's attack/defense) so it's only fair.  I'd say my only big complaint is that fighting outside of a group of soldiers is kind of hard, which is definitely more realistic, but sometimes you've just got to ditch your team to get to the base commanders and get them out of the way.  Maybe one day Koei will put out a game that does a better balance with all of this, but all in all I really like this game so w/e!

I rented this game back when it first came out and it was ok most of the missions where easy till you get to the red stars Difficulty Then it starts to get a little bit more difficult and then it becomes more of a strategy. since I end up losing my army of men, I run back to base for more men or they begin a push for my home base and the hero's a leading the push and I have to hall ass to get over there and hope I find a horse man on the way or a speed ninjas to make a quicker intercept. I don't care how you slice it on red star missions one manning a fight will get you killed even with blood storm on your side.(for you guys that never played the game it's like an over drive.)

just got Kingdom Hearts 385/2 Days and all the time I play it I keep wishing it was on the PSP. It literally does nothing but drag this game down by being on the DS.

Are you trying to say it's bad.... I think it's one of the best games for the DS and the controls aren't that bad ether. They must of put a lot of work in this game because I never seen a DS game have this much good looking 3D graphics Sure a PSP could do it better. but if you do really good 3D for a DS game you set the bar and if you did it for PSP you accomplished nothing other then you made another 3D game for the PSP.

What I'm trying to say is if it was for the PSP it would be nothing special. Having it on the DS set it apart from the rest of the games and makes it easy for it to be marketed. .

but then again KH has a fan base so it really doesn't need to go this route  but guess what? They did.
