Playing Ratchet and Clank finally now that I have a memory card. Game's pretty fantastic. And I definitely say it has lots of elements from the also awesome ps1 Spyro games that I enjoyed beating so much when I was younger.

what emulator are you using? every time I try to set one up I run into one problem or another and I always give up because it gets too frustrating getting the thing to work.  in fact, the last time I couldn't get it to work it started a chain of events that led to me losing like $90 so FUCK DAT

I assume you are talking to me?

I'm actually running it on PS2 hardware. I bought the physical disc at a garage sale for $1 (and plan to resell on amazon once I beat it at a slight profit... assuming someone buys it)

But that isn't to say I haven't played through an entire PS2 game on an emulator before. I beat NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 on an emulator a long while back. I'm pretty sure I used PCSX2 with some adjustments to the 'speed' settings or something like that. Of course some games are impossible to run. I tried playing another racing game, the original Midnight Club, and was not successful.

Scratch all that I'm a dummy.

Me + my girlfriend are about to start the same theme park level on RCT at the same time and compete. This could make or break the relationship.

Edit: She kicked my ass. Double company value, no loan and 200 more park rating at the end of Forest Frontiers.

Edit2: We're doing bumbly beach later (the park) so TIPS and SUGGESTIONS before I go cry in a corner

put some lube on your ass because when she wins it's going to hurt.

I won the next RCT-off. Dynamite Dunes. Ended with a company value of 100K, 1300 guests and a park rating of 999.

She's started practising behind my back whilst I'm at work now. 1-1.

I keep intending to play Ratchet and Clank which IS a fantastic game but I've been drawn to Blacklight: Retribution far more. Not that it has more merit, I'm just compelled by that old "unlock stuff" gameplay mechanic. Also, customizing my gun is very enjoyable.

I finally finished Final Fantasy XIII. Then I put it in a box in the cupboard so I don't have to look at it anymore.

Apart from that just NBA2k13 and waiting for AC3 to come out in Aus.

on a very base level the game is incredible fun. the pumping music fantastic art style and fast paced gameplay just meld perfectly.

but the writing in the game, and most importantly the subtext (which i wont spoil) is absolutely incredible. imho it is a prime example of top-tier game design.

I understand most if not all of you are not big on FPS's... probably at least CoD-Style shooters, but I was wondering if any of you were up for playing Blacklight: Retribution with me at some point.
