Wow I just found out that Yakuza is one of the most underrated PS2 games that I have ever played. I am loving it a lot, I mean the game is an action RPG where the battles are like beat-em up style combined with skills that can be learnt from gaining experience and theres random encounters but I love the battles so I like RANDOM ENCOUNTERS IN THIS GAME, I usually hate random battles no matter what RPG I'm playing.

Yeah the Yakuza series is actually pretty cool. It's kind of funny how rare serious MOB DRAMA RPGs are. I mean, there's the GTA series but those aren't RPGs, and I guess the GODFATHER videogame adaptions which also aren't RPGs (and kind of stink). Yakuza sort of stands alone but I always had a soft spot for the games because I like crime dramas.

They also went to ridiculous detail in recreating the areas the game takes place in, and I can at least appreciate the effort that was expended for authenticity.
WHY SO SERIOUS HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

I've seen Yakuza for sale really cheap several times, maybe I'll pick it up sometime.

first time i played deus ex i maxed out swimming because i needed it first and i figured i could level up the rest later. as it happens, swimmings useless.
yeah there's that place in the second mission where you can swim but besides that is there anything???

and like ramci said, combat strength + dragon's tooth breaks the game. i ran through that mj12 place just chopping everyone up and there's really nothing they can do. although maybe you can do the same thing with idk, the gep gun or another of the powerful weapons. i don't think it's a bad thing in a game like deus ex, because the slow pace the game requires otherwise can be frustrating in spots.

i spam saved the whole way through and reloaded if i took too much damage or used too many bullets. i have a feeling i'd have had more fun if i hadn't, but it's too long a game to replay.

also when you . i never used half of the weapons anyway

yeah, this series is one that would greatly benefit from a rehash.  the gameplay is great and all, but it could use some tweaking, along with some improved graphics, and RAGDOLL PHYSICS YEAH!!

Since I got a Red Ring on my xbox, I have been playing Resistance 2 more often on my PS3 and some Diablo II on the PC.

I just got the latest stable version of Battle for Wesnoth, and it's looking really great.  The sprites are actually pretty well-animated now, and there's some variation in the improved tilesets.  Drop me a line if you feel like battling it out.

I'm playing around with Jedi Academy, after god knows how many years, modding it around and crap so it has Empire Strikes Back characters and vague storyline (my Revenge of the Sith character switcher got a little boring after a few months). I'm thinking of starting work on doing some custom single player missions for it sometime next week using ESB maps/scripts and stuff, but we'll see if I get around to it.

After reaching lvl 9 on the open beta of Dragonica Online, I feel as though the thrill of jumping around and hacking my enemies is fading. This is what I've been playing for a few days.

Actually I've been playing Hero's Realm! Except for Part 1's ice cave which I hope I'll be able to return to in future,I've done my best to ferret out as many secrets as possible, and for the most part enjoyed it, though I had my doubts at the beginning when I realized all the characters were silent protagonists...  but I must say they're starting to grow on me.
I even stayed up late last night playing partway through Chapter 3!
I've stuck with he default names for the central heroes, but do my best to choose interesting,  appropriate names for the companions- E.G. "Bruin"(bear) for a druid- and mixing genders and types within each party.
Akira's' party is my first to have more males than females and the first to have "region-specific"-i.e. "Japanese" names.
The one change I'd make, however, is to vary  the hair  and eye colors for the various classes a bit more, as a few are still obviously edits of the same sprite.. I love the Witch hair by the way...

I just played the demo of IL2 Sturmovik on PS3 and it was pretty awesome though it tried to have a story inbetween battles with some poor hooray henry english voice acting.

I've been playing the Champions Online beta and despite being pretty standard MMO fare the character creator is really sweet
