I'm playing Mass Effect specifically so that when I buy Mass Effect 2 I have a character to import.
Same here, sorta. I'm going to try to finish up a full replay in over the weekend, provided nothing else breaks around here that I have to repair. I realized the character build I really enjoyed using was the one I set up to be a total bastard in the story, and since I never do an "evil" run for my first play of a new game, I need to replay him with paragon in mind before continuing into ME2.
Also, I picked up GTA4 pretty cheaply a couple of weeks back, and I still think I overpaid. The parody/likeness of New York was fairly impressive, but the game seemed much less interactive than previous ones. It seemed like quite a few of the chases I've done so far don't allow you to kill the target until after they've already run through several of the scripted "ooh, look, a Hollywood stunt!" moments, which is frustrating when I'm clearly plugging mr Russian sunday boater in the back of the damn head repeatedly with clip after clip from my desert eagle. If I can't kill the jerk outright, he should at least start to pilot his boat more erratically due to the splitting headache. Anyway... the game feels like one step forward and six giant steps back, and has subsequently spoiled a little of my enthusiasm for both Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption.
