actually the funny thing about this is that in all of the other endings most(if not all) of the citizens of novac will get wiped out during the battle of hoover dam, so having them evacuate due to the radiation is probably actually one of the best ways to actually save them. novac is fucked either way.

wow i never realized that, i guess i forgot what happened to novac during my first ending.  i still feel bad that i wrecked their shit though!

the kings are completely rad, i loved that they modeled themselves after old elvis tapes that have since quit working and they don't even know his name.  he's just this mythical figure from the past that is practically a god to them that they must model themselves after.  i felt proud to be the first female king.

Zombie daisuki (if it was in English it would be called Love Zombie) best DS strategy game to date been playing this on my flash card. not just a strategy and RPG. The zombies have LVs on attack, def, heath and movement.

PS this game needs to be translated.

So years ago when the Wii first came out as most of you know Twilight Princess was one of the launch titles, and was purposely delayed on the gamecube so they could co-release both versions. I waited outside my job for like 4 hours to get my hands on this shit and boy was I excited. Turns out I was duped and the Wii version was a terrible port and practically unplayable in my eyes because the quality of the port left such a disgusting taste in my mouth. Not only were the terrible motion controls tacked on carelessly, the entire game was mirrored so wii owners could feel more comfortable with it. I'm not one of those complaining that link isn't supposed to be right handed, I could give less a fuck. I think it just goes to show you how lazy nintendo was when it came to making their new console more popular despite being vastly inferior to even to the generation before it.

But that's not what makes it a bad game, because there's still the gamecube version that didn't suffer from terrible motion controls. Well I waited for years to try to play the newest zelda again. But nintendo never lowers their fucking prices, the wii version is still 50 dollars new, same with smash brothers brawl and a bunch of other first party titles. I found the gamecube version for 34 bucks and during gamestops b2g1 free deal. So it was kind of like getting the game for $17, worth it or so I thought.

It was hard to stay focused on the game, there was just never a sense of adventure like in other Zelda games. It was basically Zelda on rails, go from point a to point b, lack luster story tacked on combined with easy gameplay. There's no character development and everyone is paper thin. Link is the worse offender,  having the same god damn facial expression in every scene. Compare this to Wind Waker which showed a very animated Link, or Majora's Mask which had character development out the a-hole. The gameplay was barely better without the motion controls. Everything felt clunky, none of the items you get are worth a damn outside the dungeons. Turning into a wolf becomes a hassle and there's no real point to it outside of the storyline which is pretty much nonexistent. I popped in WW just to see if I wasn't crazy, and the game controls so much smoother it's not even funny, you actually used half your items more than 3 times, and they let you map items to Z instead of Midna hogging the button to turn you into a wolf (which pointless except to find grottos and in very rare cases progress through a dungeon) or warp places which you can't do in the first half of the game and you can't do both in front of people so it's stupid.

What I'm trying to get at here is the whole game is just lazy, and the praise it received just shows continued signs of terrible game critics (which isn't even a serious thing). Twilight Princess had loads of potential, but it turned out to be the Final Fantasy XIII for the Wii, they did nothing to break the mold outside tiny pokes and prods. Skyward Sword looks promising but if they pull the same bullshit like with TP I won't even know what to say.

hell yeah, the kings are the best. it's such a wonderfully absurd idea. an ELVIS CULT. it's such a perfect idea for this game.

i was honestly PUMPED when they let you join the kings at the end of the first quest, even though it really affects NOTHING in the game AT ALL. i had ZERO CAPS and really needed the free pass onto the strip too, but fuck that. i spent like the next five hours in the game marching around the wasteland going COMPLIMENTS OF THE KING MOTHERFUCKER(well ok not really but i REALLY wish i thought of that at the time; did wear the jacket for way too long afterward though)

I wore the jacket from the time I got it to the end of the game.  So goddamn proud.

also pretty fun because probably most of the game is just WRECKING THE NCR'S SHIT, which is always an excellent use of time.

The best bit about the Kings is that even though they definitely weren't all GOOD SAMARITANS they were some of the most morally responsible people in the game.  They were way more good guys than most of the groups.  I mean I guess compared to like the people in Goodsprings they weren't but as far as the actual proper factions go they were the most likable.

yeah, i'm pretty sure that's why i found the idea of them so easy to latch on to. it's this fucking terrible, disgusting world with a wide variety of dirtbags, but amongst the gang/military powers of the entire game, the shining light of decency and civility is the cult of elvis impersonators. that's just a beautiful idea.

I just bought the game because of you assholes go to hell. I'm enjoying being a portly asian man awkwardly carrying a varmint rifle, dressed in business-casual attire and wearing a short Fu Manchu beard but other than that I have no idea what I'm doing. is it normal for enemies to just slowly fade into sight as you're aiming in their direction or are my graphics set too low? I have a pretty good PER I think. I never played a fallout before (don't tell me which ones I should be playing first) but I am familiar with skill/ability systems

I don't know about the fading thing since I play the PS3 version (so no graphic settings to mess with) but don't worry too much about not knowing what you're doing.  Just wander around and talk to people, you'll find things to do.

so it's not like the games where if you put too many points into a bad skill or set the wrong abilities the whole game is ruined and you'll barely be able to fend off a duergar without getting killed

Well you can usually avoid the tougher monsters (like the deathclaws or those bug things with the orange wings that I hate) pretty easily, and you can peacefully resolve a lot of conflicts if you aren't tough enough to beat people up.  If you come across a locked door or a terminal that you can't unlock yet then you can just come back when you have the skills or look for a key.  I mean I can't think of any situations where you have NO OPTIONS, at worst you just leave and come back when you're ready.
