It's alright. I like it but I'm not in love with it like I thought I'd be.  I'll give it another few listens and I hope I'm in love with it by that time. Not disappointed though, it's solid.

The Mew show at the Paradise Rock Club was unbelievable. Just like 2 years ago, I was there literally FRONT ROW.

From the new album, they played New Terrain, Introducing Palace Players, Repeaterbeater, and Sometimes Life Isn't Easy. The highlights of the show (to me) were 156, White Lips Kissed (just fucking mind-blowing), and Sometimes Life Isn't Easy. I recorded a couple of video clips that I might put up later but I haven't even checked if they are decent.

I was very pissed that I couldn't bring my DSLR with me according to venue rules, but a guy 3 feet away from me was snapping away with one. ugh. Here are some pictures:

That's really cool ASE, great pics. Talk about jealousy. I missed out on seeing Mew when they came to England because they were opening for NIN so the tickets sold out in like a minute. Sad times.

Nice pics ase. How big was the venue by the way?

I'm gonna see Mew in November when they come to Finland!

Oh wow, that's a pretty small venue for Mew. Is it just your city or aren't they that popular in America? I think their new album is #2 in the album charts here and they are playing in the same venue as some other more or less popular bands like Porcupine Tree, Massive Attack, Dream Theater, Prodigy, Placebo, Korn, Pet Shop Boys and so on. It's a bit surprising that they'd be playing in a venue of 650 when the venue here can fit in thousands of people. Although I have no clue if they are actually going to use the whole venue.

They aren't popular in America at all. However, they opened for NIN in Europe and are doing the same in the US now, so hopefully this will broaden their reach.

They're opening at a sold-out show at the Terminal in NYC tomorrow, which is a 3000-capacity club. The one in Chicago is 4500. NIN usually plays at much larger venues, so this is pretty surprising imo.
