Regarding about graphical requests, here are my opinions:

- custom graphics request and dump only

- There are a specific amount of designated original styles, like maybe 3, and people must request in those format. Plus, people can choose a style and make graphics for them for free usage. Other styles must be requested in another specific thread. That way, Gamingw.net can have unique styles to the forum and have artists work together. Tutorials can also be made on how to sprite those styles.

e.g. We could designate Hatsuya's template as the main template for RMXP usage and we all work on that template

But that's to respect Drule's opinions and anyone else who agrees with him.

Scratch my discovery. No longer allowed to read old material.

Hey Drule, will those archives ever be made public again? There are some old topics probably worth looking at by various people or the topic authors themselves.

That's the idea. I can either move it back for you, or you can start a new version of the topic.

the barkley and wu-tang topics.
Fixed.

where is my giant indie game list topic
Fixed.

Probably but not now. GW was built on so much hidden cruft from several years ago that I had to stuff it away in order to be able to work on the site. For now, just request the topics you want to have moved back.

Didn't the whole Full Games sub forum not work out so well in the past? Wasn't that the initial reason for the Indie Dev forum that happened.

Could you please move back my autoscroll tutorial, Drule. :)

I'm not sure if it was significant enough to warrant bringing it back, but could we move the "Dawning of a Dragon's Valor" and "Tales from Zilmurik" threads back to the forums? DoaDV was a demo, and TfZ was a full game.

As far as I know, no, but feel free to start one in Game Design if you'd like.

Drule,

I hate looking a gift-horse in the mouth since the site is free and I've gotten a lot out of it, but I have to ask:

Three years ago and beyond, this was *the* site for RPG Maker 2003 game creation.  A number of great forums gave you access to a wide range of innovative programmers, inspired artists, and fellow craftsmen.  gamingw.net itself was an absolute treasure trove of resources, from facesets to chipsets to every kind of tutorial you could ever want.  Then one day, actually literally one day after I visited the site to grab some tutorials for a friend, everything disappeared.  The site went into "redesign mode" for...two years?...before kind of coming back and now it's away again.  Now the site seems reduced to one generic game-making forum and as best I can tell minimal resources at best.

This is really disappointing, because I used to love coming here to talk shop, get some help, and just see what other things people were doing with the program.  What happened to cause all of this?
