Yeah I would like a full screen switch button if you did that. The fixed width would probably annoy me a bit. But other than that, it's cool.

so would this mean images would get resized to fit posts? I kinda like having the forum take up all of my screen :/

If an image says a thousand words, and a video shows 24 images each second, then why couldn't they condense everything I needed to learn at school into one hour long video :V

If you want to go with static width, it should definitely be wider than 800px imo. Static width can be pretty annoying when you have a big resolution and lots of wasted space, plus it's annoying to view big pictures.

But if it brings activity to the main site, do it.

Static width is great for big chunks of text though; longer lines are harder to read. But yeah, for images it might be worse.

So... basically, our forum will be the main site? As in typing gamingw.net will take me to the front of the forums. ...Err...

If it must be done... but I think it would be so much better to have a standard main site like GW 5. That's what attracts people to the forums and broadens the community.

Well i've only ever been going straight to the forums, which google shows as the second choice below the mainsite right now. So honestly, do it.

A tool is a tool regardless. I mean if you suck, you suck, and not even the most perfect tool could save you. And if your damn good then even with the worst tool ever conceived you could chug out some high quality shit.
