English is full of terrible sounds and useless spellings that make it difficult for people from other languages to learn.
It makes spelling it properly kinda like an 'old boy's club' in it's elusive membership. We're the Bullingdon Club of the languages.

I actually thought everybody in that comments section was sarcastically trying to ventriloquise the opposite side in intentionally ludicrous ways before I realized that those quotation marks were added automatically by the page

So our event got canceled.  I guess the guy scheduled to speak got threats of violence over the phone to him and his family.
