Oh, nice. They are making season 2 right now. I'm watching it on netflix, and they have the first 2 eps of season 2 on already. does the dvd have like bloopers and stuff on it? I wonder how much of the show is improv, but considering some of the actors I bet it's highly improv.

Today I (and a couple other people (not me being crazy)) heard an explosion out on deck.

we still don't know what it might have been though. Some opinions are: A nearby rig being blown off of the seafloor, the thrusters which this morning were malfunctioning, we hit something, a sonic boom, a storage crane being stowed incorrectly

Right now a rig being blown and sonic boom seem more likely, though I'm pretty sure I heard a sonic boom before and it didn't sound like that. If we hit somethin then it would have damaged the ship and we'd prolly know immediately after, ships slow as fuck anyways (currently moving at three or four knots I think) in open sea so one of the mates running it against something is pretty unlikely. If the thrusters were fucked up at all we'd most likely know about it especially if it made a noise that damn loud the engineers would def know whats up. The storage crane thing is total bullshit and the safety tech tried to convince me of that but everyone thinks thats bullshit because we all know what a crane sounds like when it hits the cradle and even if it was really hard it wouldn't sound like a fucking bomb going off.

Nothing happened though and its been about five hours since though so it was prolly just a freak incident.
