dude since you like amines please watch rose of versailles because i don't want to be the only person who has seen this :<

hmmm doesn't seem like my kinda show at all but since you request it i shall do as you say.
but yeah i generally don't like anime that are romance, shoujo, historical, political, or anything else that i see that particular show being classified as... i watch seinen mostly. like, psychological, thriller, mystery, horror... and the rare sci-fi or two (currently watching Serial Experiments Lain, will review when finished). yeah uh to anyone interested, here is my anime/manga list: http://www.anime-planet.com/users/mkkmypet

oh and i was going to post that i noticed this a while ago... y'know vellfire, i think that the older i get, the more i agree with you on everything. i think i'm turning into you :o

yesssssssssssssss

also who knows you may think rose of versailles is terrible but fuck i don't wanna be the only one i know that's seen it, tons of animes were inspired by it though so who knows.  also i just read that some japanese classrooms actually used this show in their history classes ahaha wow.  though really a lot of it IS historically accurate so!!!  still very weird.

best friend's dad passed away and i feel horrible
<3
jesus christ dude.

I apologize for letting you down. I don't know what to say anymore and I don't think I can be of any assistance as much as I believe myself to be. I wish you'd stop, and I wish that life wasn't so hard on the coming generations... everyone keeps telling me I can't survive being so nice, it's a dog eat dog world. Why does it have to be like that? I truly feel hurt and sad that people I care for and people that truly suffer have to endure and go through so many trials. Today I watched my cousin lay in bed with a collapsed lung and no activities anywhere on his body. A machine keeps him alive right now, he use to always ride his bike with his walkie talkie and hat, he loved police shows. He was mentally slow, but he had the biggest heart and was so kind. The sun claimed him right now, he had a heat stroke and to me and my mom he's just gone. I have hope he will be better, even if he is in such a critical condition, but our natrual logic and guts have a terrible feeling that it is as bad as the nurse says... the nurse looked terrified when my mother asked for the truth, and she told us...it's not good.
i'm really sorry to hear that. i don't know what else to say really! fuck those people who say that there is no place for kindness in this world. the people i ever cared about this world are good persons and all have big hearts. i don't really give a shit about people's level of MUSIC/BOOK DISCUSSION lol as long as they are good persons.

As for the content... it's more Jojo. By now, either you love crazy homoerotic freaky nonsense with excessively detailed violence, or you don't. The setting is a horse race across America in 1890, from San Francisco to NYC, with lots of asskicking in between. Plus collecting the mummy body parts of Jesus while fighting dinosaurs. Really.

Fuck- I wish i could play "Sword of Etheria" on my PS2 but NTSC PS2s don't have the hardware to output PAL as far as I know even if I DID want to take the risk of  attempting to break the region lock.
 And I Want a ":P" smiley!

Everyone has the right to be himself; wise men know how to,when, and whether to navigate the boundary between their rights and those of others when they collide.

This guy is pretty sure the proof is not correct:

If Vinay Deolalikar is awarded the $1,000,000 Clay Millennium Prize for his proof of P≠NP, then I, Scott Aaronson, will personally supplement his prize by the amount of $200,000.

I’m dead serious—and I can afford it about as well as you’d think I can.

For those who don't wanna google around for 2 hours like I did, the point in that text is that it's a proof that there are mathematical/computational problems which cannot be solved by computers/machines (barring quantum computers and possibly some other strange shit) in a reasonable time, although you can easily verify possible answers. So you've got problems for which if somebody gives you an answer, computers can easily check if it's correct or not, but actually solving the problem through computation cannot be done fast. And "cannot be done" means that it really cannot, it's not just that nobody knows how to, it's actually impossible.

Everybody's been suspecting that that's the case for a long time, so it's not news in that sense, but nobody has proven it and it math you need proof, not good guesses. Now they are feverously checking the proof for possible errors which could take months.

Dada linked the crazy Russian mathematician a few pages back, who refused the prize $1m for his proof of Poincare conjecture. The same prize was promised for a total of 7 problems in mathematics, this proof is another one of those.

I just realized that this means that none of the NP complete problems can be in P, so that means we've got heaps of juicy problems that are really important for various fields of science and you can now know for sure that there is no fast way of solving them. Like nobody can ever come up with an algorithm, there just is none.

this seems like a waste of time then. why waste millions of hours and dollars proving what cant be done, when they could be focusing on doing things that can be done.

thank you so much makes sense
