So my phone broke. I have AT&T but I've never bought a phone before as this one was my dads. Can I just go and buy a phone and put my SIM card in? I mean I put my SIM card in my friends phone and everything was on it so I think it will work. I'm on a plan with my mom and I don't want to change anything and I don't want a fancy phone. I don't text or go online with my phone or anything. How do I buy a phone whelp!?

you can buy any phone that accepts att sim cards and it will work.

This is not exactly right. What you're looking for is an unlocked phone. As long as it says it's unlocked you should be golden (because frankly if Dok isn't looking for a fancy phone he's not going to be IMPORTING one or anything so the fact that it's AT&T shouldn't affect anything). You can get locked phones that accept your sim card but aren't gonna work, just look for an unlocked phone.

Need to check to see if your carrier is GSM or UMTS too. The sim cards are different i.e. my phone which is with 3UK will not take a GSM sim card (i.e. Vodafone) because the service is strictly UMTS.

Yes it's real wiki told me so but you can think of it more like abridged since it was changed so much. sort of like shin chan. but there is a two dubbers one that made that gold mine of jokes and the one that stayed true to the Japanese version.

any phone he could get from the ATT store/website will work fine. I've done it approximately a billion times with my T-Mobile stuff. I guess if you go on ebay or something dumb you have to look for an unlocked phone, but it only needs to be unlocked if its not supported by the carrier. And since he doesn't want a fancy phone, just get the cheapest one from att for like 20 bucks and put your sim in. done.
