Too bad, though I didn't really think the proof would hold up. And don't get me wrong, I really know nothing about mathematics, but the solution seemed so absurdly complicated and multifaceted that it didn't seem plausible to me that there wouldn't be any inconsistencies.
I think most major proofs are really complicated at least 100 page works, where sometimes it's very hard to see how the stuff that's being done leads to the actual result. I even run into this in a lot of undergrad level stuff, sometimes they take really bizarre directions and then you work for a few pages to get back to the original topic. It probably makes a lot more sense to someone who understands the structures that are used though. But so, this means that practically any given big proof has several flaws, but most of them are stuff any good mathematician can fix and are considered trivial if the idea is valid. They are still debating how big the problem is in the P != NP proof, does it ruin the whole thing or is there still something of value you could continue from, but it's definitely not just a minor thing, it's something to do with the basic logic of the proof.

That's really good. From the screenshot Colonel Sanders actually looks like a minor boss in like Tenchu or something, MISSION 8: DESTROY THE FOREIGN MERCHANT and he glowers at you from behind a table.

colonel sanders always reminds me of the bad mob boss at the start of the third indiana jones. or... the other way round...? either way i think this is the same reaction as yours

i always assumed he was a mob boss or similar anyway, we don't really learn a lot about him

Yeah it's like the mix of visual schtick and vaguely seedy anonymity you get with secondary mob boss characters. I keep expecting Joe Don Baker to throw him through a window.

I wish Steel were here, I'm sure he'd fall out of his chair laughing if I sent him this link. After which he would share my sheer bewilderment.

Mississippi. I know it's boring, but I think he's made few songs as honest and personal as that one. The early rendition on Tell Tale Signs is also recommended. I also like Tangled up in Blue, specifically the early version on The Bootleg Series.
