idk what the law is like over there but that doesn't sound like reasonable grounds for dismissal
most states are "at will" employment states, meaning companies can hire&fire whoever the fuck they want whenever/for whatever the fuck they want. With the labor market the way it is, employers that don't have to deal with unions all have their unskilled workers under their heel and will crush anyone for the smallest reason simply because they can and they can find/train a replacement fairly easily given the huge rise in unemployment. welcome 2 america
