i guess i could see why someone might want to TRAIN THEMSELVES TO LUCID DREAM or w/e once or something but jesus trust me it's p. dumb really. the only time it's nice is if it's a nightmare because it basically means you can force yourself awake or just make it stop happening but tbh i rarely have nightmares. so instead i just don't sleep as well because idk i'm too aware *_* the times i don't lucid dream i am a million times more rested
also is that what inception was about????
Nah, I barely remember what Inception was about, but it wasn't really about lucid dreaming.
Maybe it's that lucidity is so commonplace in your dreams, but I can't see how you downplay it so easily. The few times I've achieved it, I woke up as if from a religious experience. I dunno, I always wake up with very strong vibes from my dreams. I believe they're tied to the subconscious, and that there is a certain symbology behind dreams that often only the dreamer would ever understand. To have a conscious hand in that made me pretty excited.
Then again, I've also never heard of anyone losing legit rest because they're lucid dreaming. I always figured you were still getting good REM out of it.
